Op-art never looked so good. Taking a cue from the popularity in the 1970s of deco Prismas and their related contemporary interpretations, this geometric font updates the trend. Overlap text in different colours or black and white for eye-teasing moiré combinations. Zygon Regular is a shape changing, unicase display font inspired by British cultures and transcultural theory. Zygon Regular was inspired by the 2012 Royal Diamond Jubilee and the notion that the Jubilee, as a multicultural event, would feature celebrations inclusive of all cultures. The typeface is based on the Panjabi syllabary alphabet (Gurmukhi script) combined with the Latin alphabet. Zygon Regular contains a set of stylistic alternates as well as a range of standard and discretionary ligatures. These are accessible in applications that support OpenType features. A 1931 travel poster for Pommern, Germany, designed by Willy Dzubas provided the inspiration for this charming typeface. Sets tight, large or small. This family is based on an offering in Barnhart Brothers & Spindler’s Type Specimen Catalog No. 9, issued around 1910, originally named "Grant". It makes a handsome addition to the Whiz-Bang Woodtype series, and is available in both a Rustic and Refined version. Named for a town in Texas, which the locals pronounce "Reh-FURRY-o". Both versions of this font contain complete Unicode 1252 (Latin) and Unicode 1250 (Central European) character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

Set the mirrored ball spinning, and get down to Funky Town. Based on a period piece appropriately named Disco 79, this version shifts the concentric elements so that they appear to be lit from below, adding impact and, perhaps, even a sinister touch. You'll also find special treats at the dagger, double dagger and section mark positions. Patterned after cheap neon signage, this face has class, all of it low. Uppercase only, the lowercase positions are filled with an assortment of cheesy neon graphics, intended to be used at twice the point size of the caps. Named after a 70s TV show about a hotel with a defective neon sign. Both versions of this font contain the Unicode 1252 Latin and Unicode 1250 Central European character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

This growing family of friendly faces is based on the typeface Bravour, designed in 1913 by Martin Jacoby-Boy for the D. Stempel AG foundry in Frankfurt am Main. The wide stance and very large x-height shared by the family members makes them warm and inviting, and equally suitable for use in headlines or text blocks. All versions of this font include the Unicode 1250 Central European character set in addition to the standard Unicode 1252 Latin set.

A handlettered headline in the January 1953 issue of Park East magazine by wacko album artist Jim Flora provided the inspiration for this exercise in extreme lettering. Check out the [brackets] and the bullet point... like, endsville, daddy-o. Due to the complexity of this typeface, the font has no math operators. The Ayes have it! The 1909 specimen catalog from the H. C. Hansen Type Foundry of Boston contained a lovely decorative face named Congress, which is the pattern for this font. It's a winning choice for distinctive headlines, and the uppercase letters are also suitable by themselves for use as decorative initials. The PC Postscript, Truetype and Opentype versions contain the complete Latin language character set (Unicode 1252) plus Central European (Unicode 1250) languages as well.

This in-yer-face kinda face is based on a broad brush font from "The New ABC of Showcard & Ticketwriting" by C. Milne, published in Australia in the late 1930s. Brought to my attention by Ms. Kat Black, and named in honor of Ms. Kat's grannie, to whom the book originally belonged. The Postscript and Truetype versions contain a complete Latin language character set (Unicode 1252); in addition, the Opentype version supports Unicode 1250 (Central European) languages as well.

Sahur Bosku is a beautiful handwritten font. This family consists of a script and comic style with matching italics. This font is suitable for branding, quotes, logos, magazines, posters, promotional advertisements, films, and more. The fonts have multilingual support and are PUA Unicoded.

Asrafel is an original font by Dave Nalle. It is a strong, stylish titling font based on hand lettering influenced by Celtic uncial styles and Art Nouveau titling fonts. It includes a variety of alternate character forms to create interesting visual relationships.

Sello is a hand-drawn, geometric sans-serif with a touch of retro style. It's a unicase typeface inspired by hand-engraved, mid-1960s Spanish postage stamps, hence the name "Sello" – Spanish for "stamp". This font comes in three different weights – light, regular, and bold – with a regular and oblique version of each for a total of 6 styles. Vowels have a special third alternate glyph. Sello also contains the necessary diacritics and special characters to support several different languages. Looks great at the slightly larger point sizes, when used in header or display purposes.

Arabetics Detroit is a monoshape font family with a fixed single shape per each Arabic Unicode character. This font family supports all Arabetic scripts covered by Unicode Standards 6.1, and the latest Arabic Supplement and Extended-A Unicode blocks, including support for Quranic texts. It includes three weights: regular, bold, and light, each of which has normal and left-slanted (Italic) versions. The design of this font family follows the Arabetics Mutamathil style design principles utilizing varying x-heights and no glyph substitutions. The Mutamathil type style was introduced by the designer more than 15 years ago. The Arabetics Detroit font family includes all required Lam-Alif ligatures in addition to all soft vowel diacritics (harakat), which are selectively positioned with most of them appearing on similar high and low levels—top left corner—to clearly distinguish them from the letters. The Tatweel or Kashida lengthening character is a zero-width glyph.

Pomponianus comes from a 4th century inscription found in North Africa. It is an attractive example of early uncial lettering. Uncial inscriptions are quite uncommon, because although the style was well suited for writing on vellum, the curved letters made it more difficult to carve in stone.

The Vale Press was a contemporary of Willam Morris's Kelmscott Press. The types used by the Vale Press were designed by artist Charles Ricketts, who also supervised the design and printing of Vale Press books. The main type used, Vale, was based on the Jenson 15th century roman type style. The King's Fount was an experimental semi-uncial font based on the Vale type. The King's Fount was designed in 1903 for the Vale edition of the 15h century poem "The Kingis Quair". This semi-uncial font evokes old English and Anglo-Saxon lettering. P22 Vale Pro combines the two fonts P22 Vale Roman and P22 Vale King's Fount into one "Pro" font. This pro font also includes a Central European character set, old style figures, fractions, ornaments and a special faux "Middle English" feature to make "anee text appeer Olde." This feature is not known to exist in any other font.

Taking into consideration some complaints about lack of capital letters and deficiency of heavier weight styles, the Fermo typeface was redesigned to replace the existing font, dated 2002. New Fermo includes two subfamilies—Fermo TRF and Fermo-Uni TRF. Both fonts now consist of three weight styles—light, regular and bold—with significant contrast. During the updating process some minor glyph shape adjustments and changes have been made. Fermo TRF's main distinctions from the previous font are the new capital letters and additional weight (light) style. Fermo-Uni TRF is a unicase font with an additional lightweight style. Fermo is recommended for use as a display font. In large size settings negative tracking is recommended.

The Octa fonts are primarily intended for heading, display and decorative use. A close relative to Alert, Octa is angular by its structure but soft-outlined typeface with modern industrial strength expression. The Octa group fonts consist of five families - Octa, Octa Stencil, Octa Mono, Octa UniMono and Octa Tile: Octa and Octa Stencil - each family carry two weights of complete characters. Kerning pairs feature is included in both fonts. Octa Mono - two weights font of upper and lower case monospaced characters. Octa UniMono - two weights font of unicase (caps) monospaced characters. Octa Tile - single weight of capital letters, numbers and ornamental dingbats placed on tile squares with white and black backgrounds.

Kitra 77 was one of the studies to Hamuel Nine Five. Though at first glance we can find several similarities, a closer look will reveal a completely different font in color and proportion. Kitra 77 is an OpenType/TTF Unicode font.

Notebook BH Black was inspired by the block lettering we used to draw on our school binders. Notebook is a unicase design, with the lowercase drawn to the cap height, and each "case" having a distinctly different flavor. The fun and seemingly unlimited combinations of the upper and lowercase forms make it difficult to stop typing innocuous phrases and, if you're mobile, can even make boring lectures tolerable!

Gaytan (Bulgarian for braid) is a fresh new insight on archaic letterforms. A family of two unicase typefaces - a modern looking sans and more classic looking serif, equipped with many alternates, so they can suit any typographic taste. Gaytan's unique design was inspired by Old Church Slavonic Cyrillic, Bulgarian Ustav and the Russian Vyaz stiles, as well as the avant-garde works of Bulgarian type designers in late 1970s.

Our Luckiest Guy Pro was inspired by hand-lettering by vintage 1950’s advertisements. The uber-bold unicase letterforms exude charm and light-heartedness, while the SmallCaps and extensive figure sets expand the range of usability and appeal. Valis is a thin, futurist, lightweight font, a sister font to my other design Ebdus. Valis has more of a 3D Angular feel. This font is an omnicase font, with capitals, capital-lowercase and lower case letters available. Lowercase letters are accessible through your Glyphs palette.

Letuncial is a sans-serif typeface in which the shapes of the letters are derived from uncial, a writing style in the early medieval period. Like uncial, it has no true upper-case letters. Rather it has two sets of letters that are interchangeable. Fonts Letunical Inline Overlay-Middle and Letunical Inline Overlay Inside are designed to be layered with Letunical Inline to produce bicolored or tricolored letters and Letunical Shadow Inside is designed to layered with Letunical Shadow to produce bicolored letters.

Xylotype guru Rob Roy Kelly identified this specimen from his personal collection as "Phanitalian". This addition to the Whiz-Bang Woodtype series takes its name from a small Texas town in the middle of nowhere which has risen to international prominence—at least for folks interested in such things—as the site of the World Championship Chili Cook-off. Both versions of this font contain the Unicode 1252 (Latin) and Unicode 1250 (Central European) character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

REALLY fat faces seem to be popular these days, so here's my take on one. The strokes have been expanded to the brink of illegibility, but the letters remain distinguishable, especially in context. Also included are alternate versions of the letter A—suitable for use as first and last letters in a word— in the ASII circumflex and ASCII tilde positions. This font contains the complete Latin language character set (Unicode 1252) plus support for Central European (Unicode 1250) languages as well.

A heavy unnamed Gothic typeface from the 1890 William H. Page Foundry woodtype specimen book provided the template for this bold, brash, no-nonsense face. It's designed to set tight, so your headlines will definitely get noticed. Named for a town in West Central Texas which is noted for being the home of the Buffalo Soliders in the late 1800s.
