Developed just before World War II, this sturdy, chunky style gained popularity in newspaper advertising work. It appears as though it was created using a broad pen and retains the angled stroke endings. Goes great on certificates and diplomas where just a hint of calligraphy is appropriate. Mezalia is a one of a kind typeface. Its shapes were strongly influenced by bastarda scripts of high medieval times.
