Performer JNL, is a typeface re-drawn from condensed hand lettering found on a piece of vintage sheet music. Fairly basic in style, there are still some hints of the Art Deco influence that permeated the 1930s and 1940s art, design and typography. Available in both regular and oblique versions.

The National Show Card Writer sign making set contained many different sizes and styles of lettering stencils, and additional type designs could be purchased as add-ons. This product was one of the many economical ways merchants, religious organizations, schools and others could make their own signs at low cost.

Enchanted is a unique contemporary font that mimics the style of handwriting and brush scripts; yet it is neither. Great for logos, captions and large bodies of text. The cover of vintage sheet music for "With Plenty of Money and You (The Gold Diggers' Lullaby)" from the Warner Brothers musical "Gold Diggers of 1937" had the movie title hand-lettered in a classic Art Deco style. Bold, brash and totally fun, this became the model for Golden Opportunity JNL.

A photo from Gene Gable (a regular contributor of ideas to Jeff Levine Fonts) shows the vintage signage for the Lasher Hatchery in a slightly different take on the classic Art Deco solid letter style. Since good ideas, like eggs can be hatched, thus the font's name of Hatchery JNL.

Ragtime was designed by Alan Meetks, an all capital condensed sans serif typeface. It features thick/thin weight variances and fine line casing adornment which recalls magazine styles of the 1940s. Art Week JNL is a wider variant of the lettering style used on many WPA (Works Progress Administration) posters for the arts in the Depression-era 1930s. Wider than the version used for Concert Series JNL, it also features an ‘A’ with a rounded top rather than the flat, square version.

Madelican is a beautiful combination of modern and classical calligraphy, inspired by the handwriting of Italian women and ancient manuscripts. I think calligraphy has an advantage for the alternate characters, Madelican has tons of possibilities for just one letter. My exploration of this fonts was not as easy as in my imagination, it took several trial and errors for the perfect balance of the style. Madelican is very suitable for weddings, book covers, greeting cards, logos, branding, business cards and certificates, even for any design work that requires a classic, formal or luxurious touch. Almost all letters have more alternate than others, it is fine because the limitations of the shape of the letters. It must be readable and legible. Sonetto is a typeface designed for the making of poetry books comprised of two styles: Regular, for setting prose, and Italic for verses. It is the result of a typographical exploration carried out at the UBA Type Design Master’s which sought to relate italics and cursive italics. Initial drawings were based on Griffo’s italics and early 16th century italian manuscripts that showcased connections between letters. Sonetto is in fact a historical revival, not of a particular style, but rather of a broader concept.

A sans-serif face in which the circular elements have become almost square, NewNerdish resembles a number of typefaces which have become associated with a modernistic, computer look.
