Dominatrix is a dirty little font who won't let up until you say the safe word. And I'm not telling you what the safe word is. This font comes with autoligatures so consecutive duplicate letters won't look identical. It also has more European characters than you can shake a leather whip at.

Barricada is a loud-voiced typeface with small counters that gives an interesting strong weight. Moreover, it has a solid structure providing strength. Its curved serifs and swashes give a touch of softness and make the letters a little playful. This is the right option to set a fresh and solid text.

The French lettering book Album de Lettres Arti (1949) displayed a number of examples of unique, stylized typefaces. One in particular features a multi-line sans serif in a classic Art Deco style with open-ended characters. This design is now available as Sign Studio JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

In his book Showcard Alphabets, Dan X. Solo called this little gem "Whitestone Scrawl". This version is beefed up slightly and the letter proportions have been altered somewhat, but it's still LOADS of fun. The Opentype version of this font supports Unicode 1250 (Central European) languages, as well as Unicode 1252 (Latin) languages.

Lettering found on the cover of the 1923 song "I Love Me (I'm Wild About Myself)" can take on various graphical possibilities. Although its design is Art Nouveau in concept, it is somewhat reminiscent of the "bubble letters" most school kids used to doodle on notebook and portfolio covers; yet the lettering style also evokes the 1960s-70s Hippie movement. As a sidebar, a couple of lines from the song's lyrics were used by Jeff Levine's late mother to chastise him as a youth when he got "a little too full of himself". The lyrics were: "I love me! I love me! I'm wild about myself! I love me! I love me! My picture's on the shelf!"

The source of inspiration for Carson Monogram is a letter set from the book, Art Monogram and Lettering by J.M. Bergling, Vol. 1, Fifth Edition published in 1912. This elegant historical style was simply labeled, "New Antique 53". Carson Monogram can create one, two, or three letter monograms as well as basic headline and titling settings. Touch Me is a Script hand-drawn style typeface—designed by Coto Mendoza—resulting from polyrhythmic exploration, sign deconstruction and altered calligraphic contrast plays with watercolour brush. Coto has been using these experimental calligraphy techniques when creating the catchwords for Macarons, the Boho Family, Bikini Season Script and Matcha Script and so forth. Touch Me was inspired by a character in a story written by Coto while attending a literary workshop with Ina Groovie in Santiago de Chile. The character is a tribal girl who lives on an island in the Caribbean. She is heir of ancestral knowledge and possesses wild beauty, very passionate and sensual: intense, strong and free. These features are reflected in the polyrhythm of the typeface's curves: an irregular baseline, variable x-height, different lengths of initial and terminal strokes (that sometimes expand and sometimes shrink) and amount of brush pressure that generates changes in contrast within the characters. This way, when composing, signs with stroke contrast randomly alternate with monolinear ones and with signs of altered contrast, thanks to the typeface's OpenType programming. The 1939 French publication “Modèles de lettres modernes par Georges Léculier” ( “Models of Modern Letters by Léculier”) presented some unique and stylized type designs with Art Deco influence. One such example is an abstract modular alphabet constructed of rectangles and circles. This is now available as Modular Deco JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.

Balburdia is a font based in the street art letters of Brazil. Inspired by "pixação" from the brazilian cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Balburdia can translate the street culture and add a little extra to your designs. Batticuore means “palpitation” in Italian and is a powerful word. This font family is inspired by brush lettering, Batticuore provides two variants, Regular and caps. The inspiration source for Chaoxiang Monogram is another hand-drawn treasure from a vintage embroidery publication which plays on the anglo-version of chinese letters with stabbing strokes and the charm of the orient. While the original intent of this monogram style is uncertain, the possibilities of its use are up to your imagination. This is one of many monogram designs from the early 1900’s which fall into a two letter format bound within a framing element. Dearest John is the first font in the Love Letters series from Outside the Line. It is a bouncy hand lettered font. If you type caps and lower case you get one look. If you type all caps you get another look. Kind of 2 fonts for the price of one. I prefer to type caps and lower case and then go back in and tweak the headline a little to get the look I want. Dearest John was seen in the 2011 Typodarium Page-A-Day Calendar on 12-9-2011.

An original typeface designed for ParaType in 2004 by Armenian designer Manvel Shmavonyan. Based on the lettering created in 1970s by outstanding Armenian type designer Henrik Mnatsakanyan (1923-2001) of the same name. In Armenian ‘Haverj’ means ‘Eternally’. The face resembles many regular text serif fonts but elements like serifs and terminals make it eccentric and a little bit funny. The shape of diagonal legs in capital K and R resembles book lettering of the 1950s—60s. Using it in text, advertising and display typography may lead to surprising effects.

I always like to make a heart swash font and this is my 7th. Winterfalls is a high quality, smooth, simple script font which is easy to read and ideal for anything romantic and loving. Use it on cards and notes for baby announcements, wedding stationery, birthday and thank you cards but most of all, anything for your Valentine. Winterfalls includes left and right end swashes and connecting swashes on the lowercase letters, and a set of alternate uppercase letters with heart swashes. There are a few alternate lowercase letters, such as the ‘i’ and the ‘j’ dotted with a cute little heart and many, many ligatures. Music Sheets is a font that will produce blank music manuscript sheets, giving the main Clefs, Time Signatures, Stafflines, Guitar Tab, plus other useful symbols - in fact all you need to make simple manuscript of your own design, so you can put in the notation yourself. You can use it with ordinary Word Processors or top-end graphics programs equally easily. The Maiandra family of typefaces were inspired by an early example of Oswald Cooper's hand-lettering, as seen in an advertisement for a book on home furnishing, circa 1909. Although many of Oz Cooper's letterform designs were cast in metal type, this particular one was not. Cooper's design itself was inspired by examples of letterforms he had admired in his study of Greek epigraphy (inscriptions). Cooper combined those ancient forms with the flair characteristic of design styles of his time. The result was an attractive design possessing subtle, purposeful irregularities, or "meanders" in his skilled brushwork. The Cooper design exhibits a unique warmth and harmony in text, while presenting a compelling rhythm, color and texture on the page. "Realizing the presence of this uniform warmth and readability," notes Dennis, "I decided to expand the design into a family of three weights with companion italics." The weights for the Maiandra family were selected for their versatility in usage over a broad range of output device resolutions. Indeed, "the consideration of eventual display resolutions, be they for screen or printer, provided the greatest challenge in the design of this typeface family," explains Dennis. Cordially Yourz is a bouncy, witty little font. Sometimes there are no caps, or there are only caps… there is no real baseline… it is a headline font but can be used sparingly as body copy. I wouldn't set a whole book in it but a paragraph could be fun. And fun is what this little font is all about. Cordially Yourz can be seen in the 2012 Typodarium Page-A-Day Calendar on 5-29-2012.

Presenting a condensed Art Deco sans serif font with rounded corners and squared inner lines, based on the hand lettered title on the cover of the sheet music for 1944’s “Just A Little Fond Affection”. Allerton JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions, and was named after a neighborhood in the Bronx, New York.

For playfulness and something a little less ordinary, Bunbury is a wonderful script that’s packed with personality. Created using a felt marker and available as an all capitals display font, SC Bunbury’s style is sort of awkward and a lot of fun, with defined outlines and uneven line thicknesses that make for letters packed with hand drawn quirks.

Coda Pro is a simple but decorative and controlled sans serif design. Coda literally means ‘tail’ (Italian, from latin cauda) and refers to the way the letters h, m and n stretch below the writing line towards the end of a sentence or before a final stop. Coda Pro is an elegant and contemporary font suited for display purposes.

Argenta is an informal, "hand-printing" font that has the appearance of writing by a child in elementary school. Argenta comes in three weights and has an oblique style for each weight. We have created this family inspired from the hand-drawn letters used from the late 1800s until beginning of 1900s for notices, advertising, posters and also early comic titles.
