Coronet is a non-joining script font first issued by Ludlow. The capitals have been drawn with a degree of freedom whereas the lowercase are more formal in structure. The ascending lowercase letters of the Coronet font are quite tall, descenders are short. Coronet is a useful script for informal occasions, such as invitations, flyers and greetings cards.

I was listening to some old Smashing Pumpkins albums when I created this font. The name comes from a song called *** You (An Ode To No One). Runaround Kid is a hand painted typeface. I used Chinese ink and a cheap Chinese brush to create the inky look. Comes with double-letter ligatures and a whole bunch of diacritics.

A British boxing film from 1953 called “The Square Ring” had its titles and credits hand lettered in a slab serif type style commonly referred to as “Egyptian”. Other familiar type fonts which share this influence are Karnak, Stymie and Beton. Sporting Event JNL was modeled from the film’s titles and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Developed from the simplest possible curves, Amy is a wide hand lettered style with tall straight ascenders and generously looped descenders. The capitals are centred horizontally with the lower case. A handful of ligatures helps copy to flow for easy reading and optional proportionally spaced numerals make the font suitable for quite lengthy chunks of copy.

Zokak is a first-of-its-kind ultra condensed Arabic typeface designed for display uses. The name means an alley in Arabic which comes from its very narrow letters, which makes it perfect in small spaces. Zokak has two main styles, the default style and the tall one to give more diversity and to be suitable for more uses.

This snappy little number was inspired by a PLINC typeface by Murray Fuchs called Erwin, which has been redrawn and improved for the digital age. Eckhardt Poster Deco JNL is a continuation of a series of sign painter's fonts, and was modeled from a lettering example found within the pages of an old sign design manual. It is named, as always, in honor of the late Albert Eckhardt, Jr., the owner of Allied signs in Miami, Florida and Jeff Levine's good friend.

In an 1896 specimen catalog for American Type Founders there is a design called Geometric Gothic. The lettering style looks as if it’s ahead of its time; foreseeing the 1980s. With its squared characters, some pointed overhangs and modified character shapes, this type design is now available as Squared Off JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.

A June 18, 1929 issue of the Hollywood trade paper “The Film Daily” ran an ad for a film called “The Power House”. The film’s title was hand lettered in an extra bold sans serif design with strong Art Deco influences. This is now available digitally as Deco Power JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

College Tantrum is my take on the college font tradition – an edgy, hard working attitude and a proud statement. First off, Slivowitz is written with a v (SlivoVitz), rather than a w, but I liked it better with a w. Slivowitz is a plum brandy from Eastern Europe. My father used to be an international truck driver and he often had to go to Eastern Europe. He took all kinds of ‘western’ goods with him to give away (plastic bags, beer, cigarettes - remember, Eastern Europe at the time was still communist!). He always came back with bottles of Slivowitz. I never tasted it, as I was too young, but I liked the name and I decided to name this font after a fond memory! Slivowitz is an easy-going handwritten script font - it looks good on fashion items, book covers and fancy magazines, but greeting cards will look just as great. The original version of Salloon was what has become Salloon-Wide. It was designed a year or two before 1990. The narrower version, which is now the regular version of the face, was constructed a few years later. There never has been a true lower-case set of letters for these fonts, but the narrower version introduced a second set of caps by removing the side bumps from the letters. Although Salloon may look like an old font, no historic font closely resembles it. Fonts with bold, thick stems such as Salloon invite interior decoration. The five striped versions and the shattered version of the font were produced a year or two after the construction of the narrower Salloon when the arrival of a font distortion program made it easy to cracked and stripe fonts. In 2019 an outline style and two highlighter styles were added to be used in layers with the Salloon-Regular and one highlighter style was added to be used with Salloon-Wide.

Four years in the making Rodeo Roundup is a very ornate script font where the letters look like a flowing rope with connecting lowercase letters. New Millennium Sans is one of three font families that share a common name, a common design philosophy, a common x-height, and basic character shapes. (The others are New Millennium and New Millennium Linear; all three work well together.) New Millennium Sans is a "humanist sans" in the Optima vein -- but without certain quirks (e.g., the "waisted" strokes) of the latter. It has proportional lining numerals whose height comes midway between the lower- and uppercases. (The bold styles are identical to those of New Millennium.) New Millennium Sans might be used in books, periodicals, or any large text blocks where a legible sans is desired.

Huxley Cyrillic is based on our Huxley Amore Bold, retaining all the Western and Central European characters of the latter, while adding upper and lower case Cyrillic characters. Huxley Cyrillic, like Huxley Amore, is visually simple and direct and yet sophisticated and unexpected. Those are the qualities that give it such freshness in so many applications. This font is intended for display use. It is highly condensed and is therefore difficult to read below 18 points. It works well at 36 points, but really works best at 48 points and larger. Huxley Cyrillic has 499 glyphs. I think we should have made at least one more!

Theorem is an interesting change from the usual calligraphic work of Koziupa and Paul. An art deco font with a 1990s twist in its capitals, Theorem’s lowercase characters were designed to automatically achieve the best optical spacing in typesetting. To accomplish that goal, a variety of alternates were drawn for most letters, and plenty of vowel-focused ligatures were designed. I have seen my share of badly stuffed animals. Most of them via pictures, but also on vacations here and there. They all had this really bad handcraft vibe, but at the same time some really ordinary and kind of cute looks. I did my best to capture this look and feeling in my Badly Stuffed Animal font: clumsy letters made with a blobbly pen, with naive and irregular lines - and the conclusion is something super useful for a project that needs an organic handmade look!
