Renova was designed by Elsner+Flake in the late 90s as a contractual work. The font family comes as a typical Office pack in EuropePlus layout for at least 72 Latin languages. It is optimized for good legibility in small point sizes.

The condensed style and square character shapes of a vintage typeface originally known as Raleigh has been re-interpreted by Jeff Levine Fonts as Tall Order JNL. There is an alternate A, K, M, N and S on the respective lower case keys.

This is a version of the Bergsland Fashion stylized sans serif font family that is very high-waisted and sleek with rounded terminals called Bergsland Round. Round is my favorite out of the group as it is looser and friendlier. This four-font set has a Regular and a Black plus the italics. The stroke is only slightly modulated. The letterforms are higher, with a more open aperture, and sprinkled with breaks to add light and sparkle. This an attempt at a readable sans serif for text. It has many OpenType features and 465 characters per font: Caps, lower case, small caps, old style figures, numerators, denominators, accents characters and so on.

Poole Standard is the "flagship" typeface from former wine label designer, Wesley Poole. It's a versatile friendly face, antique but not antiquated, elegant yet inviting. "I first used a hand lettered version of this look on the Carmenet label. I've had this alphabet designed in my head for some time. It's perfect for upscale work. Like wine, this font is well rooted in the past, but meant to be appreciated and used in the here and now. Poole Standard is a stylish headline face, yet works well as a text face because of its readability at smaller point sizes. (Other styles and weights are coming soon!) Rufina was as tall and thin as a reed. Elegant but with that distance that well-defined forms seem to impose. Her voice, however, was sweeter, closer, and when she spoke her name, like a slow whisper, one felt like what she had come to say could be read in her image. Rufina’s story can only be told through a detour because her origin does not coincide with her birth. Rufina was born on a Sunday afternoon while her father was drawing black letters on a white background, and her mother was trying to join those same letters to form words that could tell a story. But her origin goes much further back, and that is why she is pierced by a story that precedes her, even though it is not her own. Maybe her origin can be traced back to that autumn night in which that tall man with that distant demeanor ran into that woman with that sweet smile and elegant aspect. He looked at her in such a way that he was trapped by that gaze, even though they found no words to say to each other, and they stayed in silence. Somehow, some words leaked into that gaze because since that moment they were never apart again. Later, after they started talking, projects started coming up and then coexistence and arguments, routines and mismatches. But in that chaos of crossed words in their life together, something was stable through the silence of the gazes. In those gazes, the silent words sustained that indescribable love that they didn’t even try to understand. And in one of those silences, Rufina appeared, when that man told that woman that he needed a text to try out his new font, and she saw him look at her with that same fascination of the first time, and she started to write something with those forms that he was giving her as a gift. Barceloneta is a simple sans-serif font, with heavy bold and very characteristic soaring accents, referring to the shape of sharp towers in the building standing in the very center of Barcelona, designed by Gaudí - the Sagrada Familia. Most of the design work on the font also took place during the stay in the aforementioned city. As a result, a typeface with very different thicknesses was created, containing 364 glyphs, characteristic - in eight varieties, which, thanks to its diversity, can be used both as a headline typeface, but also one used for the composition of continuous text (which was not present in the initial assumptions).

Fun Signs JNL comprises twenty-six humorous signs from a 1930s-era sales list of products manufactured by the Koehler Sign Company of St. Louis, Missouri. Koehler manufactured a large line of stock cardboard "Blue Signs" (presumably blue backgrounds with white lettering) and alongside the many standard phrases used by various businesses was a list of funny sayings. Such placards were bought by merchants to either evoke interest in their services (such as in a bar or restaurant, or jokingly comment on their business policies (as in credit billing). These novelty signs are a fun addition to a flier, ad, web page or announcement and will leave your readers smiling.

About 7 years ago, I released a beautiful (imho) Art Deco inspired font called Weltschmerz. Weltschmerz was an all-caps font and I always wanted to do a lower case version as well. But as things so often go in life, I never found the time and forgot about it. Some time ago, I ‘rediscovered’ my good old Weltschmerz font and remembered that I wanted to create a lower case version. Without further ado: here is Neuer Weltschmerz (‘New Weltschmerz’). I redid the whole font, better kerning, better spacing, better looks… and with a proper lower case! I did keep the original handwritten look intact - because, well, it IS hand made!

Our Hero is separated from his One True Love, and it seems that she has fallen for The Villain of the Piece! Will Good Prevail? Will Evil Perish? Will Love Conquer All?!? I don't know yet -- that's as far as I've got. Don't worry, it has a Great Ending.
