Remastered in 2019. Wasabi is the re-imagining of my very first release, Iru. Like Iru, Wasabi was heavily influenced by the monument lettering style, Vermarco. The simple, geometric forms allowed for small lettering sizes to be sandblasted cleanly and has been a monument lettering workhorse for decades… the only issue centered around the lack of a lowercase or any other letters beyond the 26 uppercase glyphs and the numerals. Wasabi solves this with the same simple, efficient line reminiscent of the old Vermarco while bringing it into the 21st century. Visual and optical incongruities of the original uppercase were replaced with new interpretations for the capital letters, a new lowercase and small caps were​ produced and the original single weight alphabet was replaced with six new weights. Wasabi has several ‘lighter’ weights primarily because the thin lines and simple transitions produce very elegant relationships… and I wanted to make sure those relationships could be explored regardless of the scale of letter. Stylistic Alternates show up through the upper, lowercase and small cap glyphs that attempt to simplify these shapes even more when the opportunity arises. Wasabi is as much a utilitarian typeface as it is a headline face. This realization led to the decision to produce a companion Condensed version shortly after the initial regular weights were developed and tested; so, try them all!

Gentlemen’s Script is a dynamic hand-written script in which the sharpness and speed of writing harmoniously coexist with elegance and a serious attitude. The script allows you to simulate fast inscriptions made by hand while keeping them elegant and classy. Working on the project, we wanted to develop a script that would harmoniously complement serifs or traditional sans-serifs and perfectly match them. Gentlemen’s Script is like an accessory in a gentleman’s wardrobe. It dilutes font traditions and adds brightness and dynamics to them. Despite the fact that the script was designed to be used as a complementary font, it has all the prerequisites to become the main character of your design story. It does not matter how you use it—Gentlemen’s Script easily adapts to reality and always works at the maximum level of efficiency. To make the script more harmonious and natural, we have drawn more than 60 ligatures. In order for the ligatures to be substituted automatically, we recommend always keeping the standard ligatures OpenType feature turned on! In addition, there are several alternative characters in the font that are programmed on the OpenType feature contextual alternates and which are used when the letter meets the service characters. To use the script to its maximum power, we recommend that you always keep the standard ligatures and contextual alternates OpenType features turned on. If you do not have access to applications that support OpenType features, it does not matter—even without these features you can use and enjoy our font!

Havel is an updated interpretation of a Czech type design from the 1930s. It is powerful and very condensed. At a quick glance you might find kinship with other condensed typefaces of the same period, like Spire (Sol Hess, 1937), Onyx (Gerry Powell for ATF, 1937) or Quirinus Bold (Alessandro Butti, 1939). But Havel has its very own look, rooted in the rapidly disappearing "Eastern European Type", a typographical tradition where poster and packaging design were the highlights. Torbjörn Olsson has revived this classical Czech beauty, and the Open Type version, Havel Pro, can also be used for Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian.

Rockinstead counts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8... Eight variations per letter, plus alternates for numbers and even for punctuation marks! It is equipped with some clever OpenType programming to make substitutions on-the-fly: the Contextual Alternates feature, with the help of a very careful kerning table, takes care of cycling the alternates in an amazing random-like way, impressively mimicking a true handwritten text. The Discretionary Ligatures feature manages the substitution of handy cursive catchwords, adding that charming twist. To put it more bluntly, this font AUTOMATICALLY alters your typing so that it substitutes glyph variations while you do nothing but type away! No need to use PopChar here to do the substitutions manually, the font itself takes care of that for you. This typeface was originally painted on paper, drawing inspiration from Ralph Steadman’s seminal lettering style. On a first glance it may look quite wild - and it proudly is, indeed. A playful caricature of a midcentury grotesque, Guzzo is a fresh addition to the Monotype Library. Somewhat eccentric and full of surprises, its unmistakable quirk can be found on closer inspection, stemming from details proudly borrowed from brush lettering and calligraphy. The wide range of weights and style can take you through any design space, from the condensed weights squeezing in larger headlines or dense blocks of text with the condensed range, to experimenting with small point sizes, labels or packaging with the extended cut. However, Guzzo’s real charm is probably best expressed through its wonderfully playful shapes, its unusual 'laid-back italics' feature cursive forms and a backslant. The different stylistic sets allow you to decide what you make of Guzzo, with several sets of alternate glyphs steering it in any direction you want. Guzzo is a happy-go-lucky character, and has a warm, humble and painterly quality that - at a glance - may be unrecognizable as a typeface. It can almost pass for hand-lettering. Guzzo pairs exceptionally well with scripts and slab typefaces, and feels most at home in situ with toys, packaging, menus, broadcasting, cartoons and merchandising! Guzzo encourages you to turn up the silliness and is for designers who want to emulate hand-painted and casual motifs. Taking its name from American artist Jeremy Pinc, aka the painter Guzzo Pinc, the typeface channels the quirky, funny and poignant qualities of his paintings - with wacky characters, loosely painted geometric forms and bright colors. For this mid century, authentic, nostalgic typeface - the story is really what you make of it.
