Santoro Script is a fun, happy script font created in the style of handpainted sign lettering. The first brand-new font added to the Jukebox library since 2011, it displays a jubilant attitude which will add a spontaneous, warm and friendly look to any design. The typeface contains three versions of every letter found under the Swash and Stylistic Alternates OpenType features as well as a few additional letter versions and ligatures under the Titling and Discretionary Ligatures OpenType features. Konrad Kachelhofen was a printer in the city of Leipzig beginning around 1483. He printed many works by contemporary authors and also many of the classics. He acquired an unusually large amount of typefaces for his shop, a place that included a wine bar and book store. This particular face is based on the Typ.8:170G GfT101 Gesamtkatalog der Wiegendrucke. He probably died in 1529 after passing his business on to his son-in-law Melchior Lotter.

Miramar font has elegance in every detail, which means that it isn't very easy to use. I like it very much, but would use it myself on rare occurencies, for very special tasks and even then in small portions. The name refers to the castle of Miramar just north of Trieste on the Adriatic coast, once the weekend resort of the Austrian imperial family. Now it is a museum with a marvellous park. Miramar was released in 1993.

Cal Roman Modern is one more font from PKG “Cal” (Calligraphic) group. This time for calligraphic sketches we used a wide brush instead of the iron pen. Instead of minuscule letters, there are Small Caps (which are the same weight as capitals). Because there is no difference in the stroke thickness of capital letters and lowercase capital letters the difference in height is only one pen width, because of that, it is possible to use small capitals together with capital letters without noticing a difference in the thickness of the letters. Cal Roman Modern font is rhythmic, informal elegant, bright and light. As such, this font is widely used in the typographic creation of shorter text forms: magazine, catalogs and book titles, logos, posters, movie spots, banners...

American Uncial™ was designed by Victor Hammer in 1943. Uncial typefaces consist of letter forms of the Capitalis Monumentalis and the majescule cursive. The origins of Uncial faces date back to the 5th century. In 1953, American Uncial was expanded to include some new figures, also designed by Hammer, and was rereleased by Klingspor with the name Neue Hammer Unziale. The forms are based on old scripts in books of antiquity and the early Middle Ages and the font is a new variation of a classic. Neue Hammer Unziale font has been a favorite for certificates and diplomas and is recommended for headlines and shorter texts in a point size of 12 or larger.

The Modesto Text Family is text in name only. It’s called Text because it has a Lower Case, and also to distinguish it from the rest of the Modesto clan. Modesto is a loose-knit family based on a signpainters lettering style popular in the late-19th and early-20th centuries. It evolved from the lettering I used for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Baily Circus Logo. The Modesto family was not planned. It just happened, a few fonts at a time over about fifteen years.
