An Art Nouveau alphabet that has stood the test of time, Nicholson French, by legendary sign-painter Frank H. Atkinson, is over 100 years old and going strong. Old Earthy is a hand drawn font inspired by the mid 19th-century art movement with William Morris and the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood in the front line. It looks like someone scrawled something onto paper, or etched the letters in metal. Shaken, Not Stirred comes with a set of diacritics befitting a Secret Agent.

The antique sheet music for the 1915 song "A Girl in Your Arms is Worth Two in Your Dreams" had its title hand lettered in a Roman typeface that reflected ever so slightly the Art Nouveau influences of the time. This design is now available as Romance Roman JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.

‘Skiart Serif Mini’ is now available online. Originally inspired by the san serif font ‘Skia’ by Mathew Carter for Apple. ‘Skiart’ was designed to feel more like a serifed font, but without any serifs. It took a step between sans serif and serif fonts. Next on the path towards a serif font comes Skiart Serif Mini, with tiny serifs added. This is a true serif font, all be it on the small side. It remains fully readable and feels as clean and normal as any of the best body copy serifs, and yet still has the strong solid bones of all the other Skiart font familys. If compared to one of the more commonly used serifs like ‘Times New Roman’, the ‘Skiart Serif Mini’ lowercase is more open with a taller x-height, increasing its readability and friendliness. The serifs are smaller and less distracting. They are not pretending to be ligatures. Where ‘Times’ makes its p q b d forms out of a barely touching oval and stem, the ‘Serif Mini’ forms are much more firmly attached, appearing clearly as single letters. The standard setting for the g’s are round single storied, (the italic a’s are also), feeling warmer and more inviting in the ‘Serif Mini’ font. Much more friendly than the stuffy double storied versions in fonts such as ‘Times’ etc.

The Amiga is a family of home computers originally developed by Amiga Corporation as an advanced game console. Development on the Amiga began in 1982. Commodore International introduced the machine to the market in 1985, after having bought Amiga Corp. The machine was ahead of its time, sporting a custom chipset with advanced graphics and sound capabilities, and a sophisticated multitasking operating system.

Evening Wear JNL, drawn from the elegant monoline lettering used as titling on the sheet music for "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes", conjures up images of 1930s New York at its apex. Fine restaurants, elegant night clubs and couples decked out in their best evening apparel were of a time long past when "doing the town" meant really dressing up for the occasion.

Sweeper is a font with several personalities; it’s friendly and scary at the same time, almost like Santa Claus, but nicer. Sweeper has got a handy touch with a lot of different possibilities. You can use it in several occasions. Sweeper is suitable in any environment: the business district in London or the shores of Oxelösund. It’s hella wide and hella fun!

Dollar Tree Stores imports a number of items from China, and many times these are limited-run products only available until the existing supplies run out. One such item was a sans serif stencil lettering guide with rounded ends that takes on the look of 1980s-influenced techno lettering. Walter Foster art books strike again, this time with a bouncy script based on the work of Al Mack, from his Lettering: Brush & Pen in the Single Stroke. Light and lively, this typeface proves that it don't mean a thing if you ain't... The Opentype version of this font supports Unicode 1250 (Central European) languages, as well as Unicode 1252 (Latin) languages.

Rudolf typeface was designed on the basis of medals made by author's grandfather, the sculptor Rudolf Rogatty. He used lettering that was very typical of monuments, medals and commemorative plaques during communist times in Poland, which can still be seen today in any Polish city. These letters are beautiful for their imperfection and they have very strictly defined rules governing their structure.

This summer there is an abundance of peaches. However, every time I like to eat one, they’re gone. My kids love them, so that leaves me looking for phantom peaches. Phantom Peach is a very higgledy piggledy, fun (yet slightly scary) Didone font, which makes it ideal for children’s books, posters and packaging. Comes with a skin full of diacritics.

Doorley Hand is a unique new font based on the handwriting of Australian advertising man and creatist John Doorley. The 1930s produced many distinctive and stylish autos. One was the Auburn, and this typeface was suggested by a period poster for the make. Another fine car of the time gives the font its name, because “it’s a Duesie!” Both versions of this font contain the Unicode 1252 Latin and Unicode 1250 Central European character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

Got a favourite pair of jeans? I do, and I wear them every Friday when it's time to PAAAARTYYYY! Well, that was 30-something years ago, but the memory of those jeans lives happily in my mind :) The font, Friday Jeans is a happy-go-lucky sans font with inky edges and lively lines. Playful as a Friday night out!

Lichtspiele Reklame is the ultra condensed version of Lichtspiele inspired by the 1920s — the golden age of cinema — where neon lights and marquee letters decorated cinema facades. Lichtspiele Reklame is crafted for large narrow formats and contains the display font and two italics (italic & contra-italic), like in these 20s, a time where movie announcements were shown on huge so called Litfaßsäulen.

Rosy Lee is Cockney slang for a cup of tea - which I drank when it was time to come up with a name for my new font. Rosy Lee (the font) is a 3D typeface with a lot of character. Would look great on posters, packaging (maybe even tea) and book covers. Comes with all the diacritics. So... Fancy a Rosy, luv?

The free-form and stylized shapes of the letters and numbers are reminiscent of old-time show cards, movie titles and signage in vogue around the early 1900s through the 1920s. Ross F. George, the lettering wizard behind many an edition of Speedball lettering books, called this quirky creation "Spatter and Spot Roman". In this version, the spatters go, but the spots remain, and a good time is had by all. Both versions of the font include the 1252 Latin and 1250 CE character sets (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

Alan Meeks designed the Candice typeface in 1976. A groovy swirl of a font, Candice looks like an ice cream sundae topped with whipped cream. Candace is often seen on album covers, and has come to be associated with innumerable party hits from the 1970s. One thing is for sure: Candice is a child of it's times - flashy, lively, and fun!

This font is actually two different fonts. The uppercase mimics the typeface used once upon a time in Teletypes, and the lowercase is patterned after the face used during the first half of the twentieth century by Western Union for their telegrams. Both flavors of this font feature the 1252 Latin, 1250 Central European, 1254 Turkish and 1257 Baltic character sets.

The 1907 novelty song "Since Arrah Wanna Married Barney Carney" (about an Irishman taking an Indian maiden as his bride) had its title hand-lettered in a sans serif style that reflected both the Art Nouveau flavor of the time and a hint of what was to come during the Art Deco movement. This is now Song Stylist JNL and it's oblique counterpart.

SUSHI is an unusual font family (2 styles), created by Bartosz Panek. The idea was created while working on the design of a certain logo. With time, a whole font was created from modular elements, which in its form brings associations with food, fish and sushi. The font contains uppercase characters, numerals and a large range of punctuation (over 220 glyphs).

Vikings or Norses are Scandinavian pirate and merchant tribes. Actually, "Viking" or "Nors" is not a nation name; It is the name given to Dans, Norwegians, Swedes and other Scandinavians regardless of who they are. The Elder Futhark here is a runic script - a version of the Viking script. I will upload other versions over time. Write nice things with pleasure.

Bodoni Classic Bold Ornate is another puzzlestone in my ever growing Bodoni Classic family. This time the letters are ornated within the limits of the letter, this keeps the classic form of the typeface intact and still gives it ample decoration. Inspired by the work of famed Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti, the German designer Thomas Finke created Bergell, a lively and natural script face. Bergell's calligraphic style is both dynamic and elegant, like the kind of special, festive handwriting many desire, but few ever manage to achieve. Why spend so much time at your drawing table when there are great fonts like this one?

Arcadian was first produced in wood type around 1870 by William H. Page & Company. It is a semi-ornamented face based on a French Clarendon, with dots added to the median and the tops and bottoms of the letters. It has a distinctly “Old West” feel, and was likely used to add a little pizzazz to advertising and broadsides of the time.
