Heinz is inspired by the poster design of Heinz Schulz-Neudamm for Fritz Lang’s famous silent movie Metropolis. Heinz Schulz-Neudamm did quite a lot of work for the German branches of big American movie companies like 20th Century Fox or MGM. His most famous work is probably the title lettering for the Metropolis movie. The original drawing for that poster sold in 2005 in London for 398.000 Pound Sterling (approx. US $ 600.000). Sir Richard Henry Bonnycastle (1791–1847) was an English officer and military engineer who served in the War of 1812 and ultimately settled in Canada. I stumbled upon copies of some of his charts and maps, became infatuated with the hand-lettered titles—and the result is the eponymous Bonnycastle. The font has a bold weight and an italic style but is intended as an eye-catching standalone, evocative of its period in history. Use as a titling face on branding materials, event posters, book covers, presentation graphics, historical illustrations, and the like.

Ardentia is a serif typeface, supporting a wide range of Latin based languages and Greek (see TechSpecs). Ardentia was created inspired by most serif text font used in book printing. Smooth curves help the flow for long text reading. At first glance, the lettering style of Technopen JNL seems to emulate the computer-age fonts of the 1980s. In actuality, this font is derived from an alphabet sample found in an instructional booklet for the Esterbrook Drawlet Pens. The Drawlet line was Esterbrook's answer to the iconic Speedball pen points sold through their chief competitor, the Hunt Pen Manufacturing Company. So, what seems to be late 20th Century typography is actually from vintage source material. In fact, the entire contents of the instructional booklet were copyright 1929! A few minor changes were made to the original A-Z alphabet and additional characters were added. The name Technopen is a shortening of the term 'technical pen', which is both a nod to the techno age of the 80s and the technical instruments of the past utilized for drawing and lettering.

Eleonora tends to defy standard categories. Had the typeface been designed in about 1790, it might've been called a "late transitional face" and lumped together with Bell and Bulmer.
