The name “Fiction Crusader” was generated by a random word generator. It may sound odd, but I like the feel of it. Use your imagination: what exactly is a fiction crusader? I guess that this is an all-purpose font, because I can’t think of a project that couldn’t use a font like this!

STRANO Like the name indicates it’s a strange typeface. Just capitals (including punctuation marks and numbers), composed from early sketches for a corporate identity in 2005 by André Toet. The complete font was restyled and translated to a Monospaced version. It’s a quite versatile font: it can be used in a lot of different cases, not only in print but also in architecture and street furniture. Think about lettering on benches, bridges, buildings. For some reason I had to think of Moby Dick (the classic book by Herman Melville) when I was busy working on this font. No, I don’t live near the sea, nor do I have a pet whale. It’s just one of those things… Whalebone (named after Captain Ahab’s prosthetic leg) is a handmade, all caps brush font. It wasn’t actually made with a brush; I used a broken satay skewer and Chinese ink. Whalebone comes with discretionary ligatures for double letter combinations.

I have never stayed at a boarding house myself, but I’ve heard some horror stories. When I have finished painting the three fonts (using Chinese ink and a small brush), I didn’t have to think long for a name. Boarding House family consists of three distinct hand painted fonts - the complement each other, but can be used separately as well. Use Boarding House for your halloween posters, mystery novels or websites. All fonts come with an attic full of diacritics.

Henrician can claim two sources of inspiration. One of these was a set of beautiful capital letterforms seen on the cover of a 19th century album of engravings. The engravings contained therein depicted lovely examples of half-timbered Tudor architecture and there was a clear 'Tudor' intent behind the letterforms. The second source of inspiration is more conceptual-the title lettering of period films from the 30's to the 60's…think if the opening text when Errol Flynn plays Robin Hood, or think of Richard the Lionheart, or even that great comedy Classic 'Carry on Henry', and it's discussion of Sir Thomas de Cobbler….but we digress! FuturaClassic is a recut of Paul Renners original Futura. This version was what Mr. Renner wanted the Futura to look like. He had to change his very stringent design because the market wanted a more pleasing typeface. I think the original design is worth saving because it is much more typical and has a personal and distinguished touch. Puchiflit is a typeface disguised as a pen script. I didn't create this typeface by importing the letters on paper and tracing them into a computer with a draw application. So I think it's a pseudo-pen script typeface. By the way, I used a famous Japanese maker's felt-tip pen as a reference for line widths. I thought, "Isn't this what it would look like if I wrote with this pen? I drew a line in the draw application while fantasizing about this.

My son Sam’s birthday is coming up and we need to think of a cake. He’s old enough not to want a themed cake, but I suddenly remembered that we gave him a dinosaur cake for his second birthday! Dinosaur Cake? That’s a totally cool name for a font! So here it is: Dinosaur Cake - The Font. It’s a cute little handmade font, which looks like it was cut out of paper, but I have to disappoint you this time: it was not cut out.

I don’t think I’m a capricious person, but right now, due to the enormous amount of renovation work on our home, I do get bad moods quite often! Capricious is a hand painted all-caps font: I used my favourite Chinese ink, a brush and very rough paper to get the desired ‘eroded’ effect. It is quite a heavy display font, so I wouldn’t really set a text in it, but it works really well for headlines, catching titles and products that need some pepper!

The Brunette font was created with the sole purpose to serve companies that want to express character, emotion, and personal touch through their logotypes (think Bakeries, Juice Bars, Cafes, Jewelry stores, etc.) Brunette was made entirely from scratch (handwritten letters on paper), which were then vectorized and tweaked to gain consistency. The name "Sticky Love" is taken from a song by Kate Bush. Perhaps not one of Kate Bush' most famous songs, but nevertheless, the song is about love (Which I think is what Kate Bush sings a lot about!) The Sticky Love font is also about love - that kind of love you just can't control. In this case, the love is about wacky letters! :) Sticky Love is handmade and just a tiny bit cleaned up. Not much though. The font has kept the handmade love!

Tabac Slab was created by combining several contradictory influences, the result of which is a universal linear font. The combination of brisk serifs and refined calligraphic details in the structure of the characters serves to create an original concept that mixes influences from both book and advertising graphics. Serifs aid legibility in long texts, while small drawn details realise their full potential in sizes of twenty-four points and larger. The basis for our Egyptienne was Tabac Sans, with which Slab logically forms a harmonic duo. The addition of bracket-less serifs caused the typeface to thicken and become solidly anchored on the lines, giving a firm answer to all typographers who like to complain about the slight exuberance of grotesque fonts.

Stu is based on the penmanship of the late Raoul "Stu" Stuart. Raoul's penmanship was always admired by those who saw it; it was a first glimpse into the artistic and creative side of an otherwise easy-going, funny guy. The print variants exude a soft yet masculine feel, while the scripts evoke a sense of sentimentality and romance. Stu features dingbats which say something about Raoul: affectionate and romantic (heart), a big coffee drinker (coffee cup), a great cook (spoon and fork), a music lover (musical note), and a prankster (winking smiley). “THE DEMON FONT” has been specifically created for a very contemporary graphical usage. It represents Gore, Violence, and Lust with Sinful appearance; with diabolical appearance and reflects the dark side in its every character, which may not be Ideal for daily use. But some expressions never look good in the boldest, brightest of Type, for it is their Vocabularic nature and deep interpretations. In such cases The Demon Font shall fill the role gracefully. INSPIRATION When I recently started my web graphic novel focusing around Demonic Possessions, Crime and Paranormal occurrences, I felt the need to have a type that spoke very unconventionally and supported the language of my story. I wanted to break apart from the usual Comic Sans like typefaces used for decades in Pop cultural mainstream Comics, and wanted something very sublime and independent in style concurrent to the the parallel digital media of Web Comic genre. Thus I created my own type to help translate the communication of my plot thicker to the plain old “Lettering” Font.

The roots of this font go back to 1967. A book title in trendy letters was created in a completely ingenuous way as a film prop for a Super 8 fun film. I drew the letters with felt-tip pen and poster paint without thinking too much about it. It wasn't until a good 50 years later that I realized, this was a first awkward typeface draft. The flower power vibe was captured here subconsciously. In 2019 I completed the few glyphs and created variants that I would not have thought of at the time.

Street Tag vol1 is inspired from graffiti tag in urban areas in Jakarta, i also draw graffiti, tag and throw up since high school. This is originally my style, inspired from some my favourite graffiti artist, my tag style is not so tidy and i think you guys should adjust the kerning manually again, because it’s impossible to adjust them to be tidy. I also create special letter "G",“Y” and “T” in vector base, so you can edit the path as you like, combine with the original font, you can see the sample.
