This font is artistic. The shape of the letters was taken from the dot art that I worked on consistently. Letters are read by habit and feeling. Sometimes I also think for a moment about what this letter is. But, you soon find out. A brief pause and continuation is refreshing.

QuickType is a typeface I designed for demonstration purposes. I used it to illustrate my first book about type design. It has crooked slab serifs and looks very much like a typewriter font. But in order to make things clear I had to overdo some curves and so QuickType turned out a very distinct typewriter typeface. Since those days I worked on the shapes from time to time, so it got better and I extended it to include several neccessary cuts. Now it is a full fledged very usable font. Dahaut is a stylized, modernistic uncial variation. The idea for this font came from a small sample of hand lettering in a title on a book by Peter Tremayne. One of the odder things I remember from high school (50+ years ago) is the tile floor of hexagons in the bathroom. There is something fascinating with the way hexagons fill the plane. BakerHalfDozen is made of white letters that fit on black, hexagonal tiles. BakerHalfWhite switches the letters to black on white tiles, and BakerHalfBare eliminates the tiles. There are no true lower-case letters, but some letters have alternate shapes. To make the tiles line up right, alternate lines must be indented half a space.
