Oilvare is a hand-drawn, layered typeface inspired by vintage painted signs and oil cans. While sturdy, it also has a softer side—wide proportions, oval-inspired forms, curled angle strokes, and a medium contrast all help give it a little bit of distinction from the typical sans serif. Mix, match, and layer the styles to your liking. Carefully drawn, when you enlarge the typefaces, the subtle irregularities become more apparent and harken to hand lettering of the past.

A photo of the now closed [circa-1953] Lowell Municipal Pool (at 1601 N. 28th St.) in Boise, Idaho shows the words “Municipal Pool” formed into the cement of the entrance to the above-ground swimming facility. Both the lettering and building entrance designs harken back to the Art Deco era and the sign features stencil-like characters. This inspired a typeface aptly named Municipal Pool JNL, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

I have always been fascinated by the ‘Full English Breakfast’. A Full English usually consists of toast, baked beans, sausages, fried eggs, fried tomatoes, fried mushrooms and sometimes blackpudding (a kind of sausage made from pig’s blood). When I lived in England, my friends were always quite happy to stow away a big full breakfast, but I, on the other hand, could not really set myself to eating one. Full English is a hand made stencil font. If you own a pub and you serve breakfast, you could use it for your signs, but I guess this font looks good on anything that needs a bit of attention. For attention, it will get!

Annonce is a digitization and expansion of a 1912 Johannes Wagner Foundry classic called Aurora Grotesk, which also circulated later on in metal under the name Annonce. Bold, extended and clear as a bell, Annonce stood out as the definite big sign font long before the Helveticas of the world. So I made Smithens Villa Script, sort of classic decorative with a modern twist. It is a display font meant for vintage logos, fashion labels, custom cards headers, badges, food packaging designs, as there are a lot of fancy letter connections. Also I offer a decent amount of stylistic alternatives for many letters. Smithens Villa Script contains standard characters, lowercase, uppercase, numbers, punctuation,stylistic style and international characters.

An ever so slightly off kilter sans-serif, Good Grief started as a digitization of a film typeface called Carmel by LetterGraphics.
