Ace Attitude is a friendly, readable font with character and flair. When I started designing this font I wanted something that was readable as well as interesting and appealing. Something that showed character. When I look at this font now I think of an old fashioned aviator. One of those poeple that likes to show off and have fun but can still follow rules. This font is perfect for logo's and branding. But its also very versatile would be great in things like magazines, posters, packaging, billboards, etc. Ace Attitude has an impressive 179 Contextual alternates. These are like ligatures, but oh so much better. These contextual alternates will give any project that personal touch - all without any extra effort. All you have to do is make sure that they are turned on in your program. Unfortunately, these do not yet show up in the sample text. To help with this I have created a demo version of the font so that you can still try it out before you spend the money. This is the companion sans family to make the Librum serif families work as well as they do. By companion, I do mean stylistically compatible. But mainly, they have the same vertical metrics. So they work very well for run-in heads, inline character styles, and all the rest of the needs in large books with complex formatting. They are designed for use in InDesign, and they work very well in that environment. The fonts use the same OpenType feature files as the rest of the Librum families. The feature files for the italic and bold are more limited—as I have rarely used things like that [over the past 20+ years]. The character shapes are a bit whimsical. The original ancestor of this book design sans was a very playful font I released as Aerle. It’s been calmed down a lot but is still loose and friendly. Two years ago I went on a camping holiday in England with my wife and (then two) small children. The first stop was a nature campsite near the village of Bodiam in East Sussex. My son wanted to see a real castle, so I figured Bodiam Castle was the 'realest' of them all! He loved it, as the castle had a moat, crenellated walls, a bunch of towers and a guy dressed up as a knight. Bodiam font is a rough didone-ish affair. It is all caps, but you can freely mix upper and lower case. It would be ideal for book covers, posters and maybe even for castles. Comes with a treasure chest of diacritics.

Although Andi AW. Masry designed his Coomeec typeface with one eye on comic books, this is more than just another cartoon font. Even in our short profile of the font below, we're sure you'll find enough to be surprised by the calligraphic aesthetic and the wide range of potential uses of Coomeec. Typography had been one of Andy AW. Masry's hobbies before he turned professional in 2008 and formed his own agency in Jakarta in Indonesia. The former construction engineer had already spent many hours of his leisure time in following his pastimes of designing, photography and Latin typography. Fascinated by the close interaction between text and image in comic books, one of his first projects was the development of his font Coomeec™. The condensed letters of Coomeec seem to have more in common with a calligraphic brush typeface than a more conventional cartoon font. With the characteristic line forms of a brush font, the not unextensive variations in line thickness and numerous small embellishments to the glyphs, Coomeec can be used to enhance your projects with animated effects. You can achieve this not just in the larger font sizes; the font is also very legible in small sizes thanks to its large x-height. There are certain unusual letter forms, such as that of lowercase 'g', 's' and uppercase 'Y', that provide Coomeec with a touch of the exotic. As Coomeec has numerous character alternatives, you can use it not only to create diverse designs but also to ring the changes with the character of the text itself. There are variants for most lowercase letters, some of which exhibit only minor differences, such as the lack of a curlicue on the 'b', a modified downstroke on the 'h' and an elongated base for the 'k'. In the case of other letters, such as the 'q' and the 'r', there are significant disparities between variants. The uppercase characters are also available in a lively swash style with significantly extended terminals. Among the range of characters of Coomeec are oldstyle and lining figures designed for proportional and tabular setting. All alternatives are available in the form of the corresponding OpenType versions. Coomeec comes in two weights; Regular and Bold, each with its Italic version. The form of the slightly inclined Italic characters is identical to that of their upright counterparts with the exception of the lowercase 'f', which has an ascender in its Italic version. As an OpenType Pro font, the glyphs available for Coomeec ensure that it can be used to set not only western European but also central European texts. Coomeec is not just at home when used to set headlines. The excellent legibility of this individual and vibrant typeface means that it's also ideal for setting shorter texts. Constructed only with straight lines, Maest is an unusual script typeface. The straight lines give the letters a striking visual effect, specially in small sizes. Maest also features four styles of figures, plus swash capitals, a few ending forms and the f-ligatures. It is available in three weights, from regular to black.

Endgame font was made using a very, VERY bad brush and Chinese ink. I had bought a bunch of brushes some time ago and I discovered that the hairs had been treated with some goo to keep them from sticking out. The goo didn’t really come off, so when I started to draw the glyphs for this font, the brush strokes were kind of wild. In the end, I really liked it (even though I will never again buy that particular brand of brushes). Endgame is a wild brush font. Comes with the works: diacritics, ligatures and alternates.

Skunkling was born out of a contest, where its initial design won first place. It was inspired by a real-life encounter between a spraying skunk and a defenseless designer. Skunkling is carefully designed to be playful and even awkward. Unique letter forms and ligatures allow the letters to fit snugly together. Barclay Outline is a headline font in the style of a modern typeface. The letters of the Barclay Outline font are like a bold modern face with a fine outline contrasted and strong shadow strokes.

Positronic Toaster is a modern interpretation of the French upright scripts of the nineteenth century. It started off as an attempt to make a stylized script that didn't feel like it belonged on a 1950s chrome appliance. Later on, however, the design grew to embrace the qualities of that style of lettering. The result is something playful and elegant, that is not tied to any particular time period. The distinctive angular loops on the ascenders will join together in words like 'bulb' or 'wallflower' using OpenType contextual alternates. It is suitable for cards, wedding invitations, or any project requiring a fashionable, upscale look.

Hanna has its roots in the Plato and Cilantro fonts published earlier by Wilton Foundry. It is an informal roman and very legible at any size - a rare combination for many applications. Hanna was specifically designed to generate additional income for an orphanage in Ethiopia. Hanna Teshome runs an orphanage of roughly 140 children in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She is an amazing lady with a deep passion for orphan kids as well as innocent kids that find themselves in jail because their mothers have been imprisoned - they are treated as prisoners and are typically sexually abused - it is not uncommon for them to commit suicide when they are released from jail at age 18. Most of the orphans end up with Hanna because one or both of their parents have died from AIDS. Hanna relies entirely on donations to keep her orphanage running and this font is a small but tangible way for you to help make a difference in the lives of the orphan kids. I am committed to helping Hanna after visiting the orphanage several times and seeing the jails from where the kids have been rescued. Hanna is my hero because she stepped out of her comfort zone, with no financial support, to take care of the kids. My hope is that you will use this font as a messenger of good. The compendium Alphabete: ein Schriftaltas von A bis Z listed the pattern for this family of faces under the name Chicago which, owing to the number of other faces using the same name, makes its origins difficult to ascertain. Nonetheless, its soft lines and round forms have a timeless appeal makes this family an excellent choice for both headlines and text use. Both versions of this font include the complete Latin 1252, Central European 1250 and Turkish 1254 character sets, along with localization for Lithuanian, Moldovan, Romanian and Turkish.

A vintage look to the future of type, this funky typestyle with circular cut outs was stylish for its day, and a true novelty for today. Blackhole PB began as a digitization of a film typeface known as Circue Solid by LetterGraphics. This typestyle has such funkadelic appeal to it that it just makes me smile. Definitely not for broad uses, but full of novel flair. This font is the bees knees for anyone with a circle fetish. They are like hidden mickeys in this typestyle, building up curves and counters all over the place. Take it for a spin and have a flashback to wilder times.

The name of the font is from the hilarious movie "21 Jump Street" - and that is where the similarity ends. While the movie is quite funny, it is also super goofy! I can't say the same about the font, because terms like organic and organic comes to my mind. Strange, yes! And I have really no good reason for this naming, other that its an odd way to tribute this one of my all time favourite comic movies! :)

Four years in the making Rodeo Roundup is a very ornate script font where the letters look like a flowing rope with connecting lowercase letters. Due to the high amount of detail in this and other FontMesa fonts some applications may have difficulty displaying the letters larger than 100 point size.

This is a decorative font containing the letters A-Z, numbers 0-9, and enough punctuation to make invitations, playbills, posters, and the like. It is meant to have the feel of the theatre district early last century. "Roaring 20s" comes in three styles: regular/engraved, hollow/white, and black. Enjoy!

Crysh Graffiti is the newest typeface with a simple graffiti style. There are three styles of font. Regular, extrude, and line styles Inspired by a simple piece of graffiti. The entire typography has been designed to work on large sizes. This font is good to use on posters, zines, stickers, and t-shirts.

Two word examples (“nice” and “bud”) from the J.G. Cooley & Co.’s Specimens of Wood Type catalog for the typeface ‘Roman Triple Extra Condensed Fifty Line’ offered only seven letters to work with. Despite this lack of characters, it inspired Compressed Wood JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Magneton is a brush script typeface that contains three weights and two slant angles. Three weights simulates the pressure of the brush pen; light is written with a gentle pressure and the bold one with more pressure. Two slant angles gives Magneton two natures; the more casual one and the more dynamic one. So with this script you have lots of options to choose from. You can adjust the look and feel just like when writing with a real brush pen! Magneton has lots of alternates and swash characters. It has two sets (and more) of upper case letters. Lightly playful, this font had a lot of influences in its design. I liked the look of this style in three fonts and decided to create my own version. This is it. Included is a version called Italic, but it is not a true Italic, just a variation in some lower case letters.

Probably everyone living in Europe has heard of the (in)famous Route Du Soleil. The Route Du Soleil (Motorway Of The Sun) is a stretch of road from Paris to Lyon (in the south). It is THE route holiday makers take to reach southern France, so they can get there before everyone else does. The result: endless traffic jams, overheated engines and people and more toxic exhaust fumes than your average petroleum distillery. Route Du Soleil is also a very nice hand written font that comes with swashes and ligatures. You can easily use the Sedid World font family in every project. Because this font has beautiful and soft lines. The font family includes open type features, as well as a large number of ligatures, small caps, modifiers, and currency symbols of many countries.

Faithfully reproduced from my father’s design drawings made at The Municipal School of Arts and Crafts, Wolverhampton in 1939. Strong nostalgic influences of Art Nouveau and Art Deco. What caught my eye was the consistency with which each particular character was formed: every ‘R’ like every other, every ‘S’ the same. Tight letter spacing and loose word spacing characterised his titling but he didn’t trust himself to print without first ruling guidelines, a hint of which remain in this font.

SpeedSwash is a stylised oblique script-fraktur hybrid. That description could should bizarre - lets face it, it does - but the result is actually rather splendid we think. Lovely for poster work where a sense of life and motion is required.

Out of a lifelong inner struggle, Philip Bouwsma unleashes a masterpiece that reconciles classic calligraphy with type in a way never before attempted. Maestro takes its cue from the Italian chancery cursive of the early sixteenth century. By this time type ruled the publishing world, but official court documents were still presented in calligraphy, in a new formal style of the high Renaissance that was integrated with Roman letters and matched the refined order of type. The copybooks of Arrighi and others, printed from engraved wood blocks, spread the Italian cancellaresca across Europe, but the medium was too clumsy and the size too small to show what was really happening in the stroke. Arrighi and others also made metal fonts that pushed type in the direction of calligraphy, but again the medium did not support the superb artistry of these masters or sustain the vitality in their work. As the elegant sensitive moving stroke of the broad pen was reduced to a static outline, the human quality, the variety and the excitement of a living act were lost. Because the high level of skill could not be reproduced, the broad pen was largely replaced by the pointed tool. The modern italic handwriting revival is based on a simplified model and does not approach the level of this formal calligraphy with its relationship to the Roman forms. Maestro is the font that Arrighi and his colleagues would have made if they had had digital technology. Like the calligraphic system of the papal chancery on which it is modelled, it was not drawn as a single finished alphabet, but evolved from a confluence of script and Roman; the script is formalized by the Roman to stand proudly in a world of type. Maestro came together on screen over the course of several years, through many versions ranging widely in style, formality, width, slant, weight and other parameters. On one end of the spectrum, looking back to tradition it embodies the formal harmony of the Roman capitals and the minuscule which became the lower case. On the other it is a flowing script letter drawing on the spirit of later pointed pen and engravers scripts. As its original designers intended, it works with simple Roman capitals and serifs or swash capitals and baroque flourishes. The broad pen supplies weight and substance to the stroke which carries energy through tension in balanced s-curves. Above all it is meant to convey the life and motion of formal calligraphy as a worthy counterbalance to the stolid gravity of metal type. The Maestro family consists of forty fonts distributed over two weights. The OpenType version compresses the family considerably down to two fonts, regular and bold, each containing the entire character set of twenty fonts, for a total of more than 3350 characters per font. These include a wide variety of stylistic alternates, ligatures, beginning and ending letters, flourishes, borders, rules, and other extras. The Pro version also includes extended linguistic support for Latin-based scripts (Western, Central and Eastern European, Baltic, Turkish, Welsh/Celtic, Maltese) as well as Greek.
