LoveDuets is a family of two novelty fonts that have letters on hearts. There are at least five other font families on myfonts that have have letters on hearts but LoveDuets differs from them because it uses the OpenType feature of Contextual Alternatives (calt) to put two letters on each heart, one on the left side and a second on the right side. The two styles in the family can be used in layers to increase color possibilities. The brace characters have empty half hearts that can be used to replace spaces or to complete hearts at ends of lines. LoveDuets can be used when hearts are appropriate such as for Valentines Day, anniversaries, and weddings.

The Filosofia Regular family is designed for text applications. It is somewhat rugged with reduced contrast to withstand the reduction to text sizes. The Filosofia Grand family is intended for display applications and is therefore more delicate and refined. This font is my first attempt at typeface design. It is based on my own handwriting and I tried to maintain the natural quality, where the letters are quite loose, some going in different directions, thickness and position. It has Open Type features including contextual alternatives, stylistic sets and ligatures. Trying to maintain natural quality of handwriting each glyph has four styles which randomly appear when you type. For example, when there are double letters, the two letters are slightly different. You may also switch off the random feature and use the four styles on their own. The many alternates are best activated in OpenType-aware programs, such as Word 2010, Illustrator CS4+, InDesign CS4+ and QuarkXpress 7+.

Poleno is a custom typeface originally designed in 2006 for the Slovak folk dance ensemble Poleno, as a part of their corporate identity. Ever since, new weights have been added to complete six variables and two different options for accents. The typeface adds a fresh, bold and non-rational feeling to headlines and titles in books and posters in display sizes where emphasis and detail are equally important. Randomly-generated contextual alternates included in the family contribute to add a distinctive look to words with repeating characters, whenever they occur next to each other. The difference between the Poleno Set and the Poleno Alt Set is in the accented characters. In the first one, accents are merged with the characters and in Alt version, accents are separated from the characters.

Gerard Unger’s new typeface Alverata is a twenty-first-century type-face inspired by the shapes of romanesque capitals in inscriptions of the eleventh and twelfth centuries, without being a close imitation of them. It is additionally based on the early twentieth-century model, but tweaked so as to prevent blandness and monotony. Alverata performs beautifully in both screen and on paper, delivering excellent legibility. Its letters are open and friendly in small sizes and lively and attractive in large sizes. They are robust, and show refinement in their detail. It is an extensive type family, with versions for both formal and informal applications. Alverata consists of three different fonts: Alverata, Alverata Informal and Alverata Irregular, that variate in form and width, but maintain the same spirit. The ‘irregular’ version is particularly inspired by the Insular letterforms, the uncials, and their constantly changing positioning. Alverata PanEuropean includes Greek and Cyrillic relatives. The typeface strikes a balance among Europe’s diversity of languages, combining contemporary typographical practices with features of medieval letterforms, from the time when Europe came into being. This font is an adaptation of the cyprus syllabic script to a Latin-based font. I tried to assign as many correct letters as possible, but there were too many characters so I had to fit them. Please review the alphabet table of Cypriot syllabic to use the Font. To see all the characters, you can see all the characters and add them to the text by selecting this font from the add character section on the word page. Cypriot syllabary The Cypriot syllabary was used in Cyprus from about 1500 and 300 BC and is thought to have developed from the Linear A. The earliest known inscriptions from between 1500 and 1200 BC are in an unknown language called 'Eteo-Cypriot', or 'True Cypriot', and the script in which they are written is called Cypro-Minoan. From around 1200 BC Cyprus began to be colonised by Mycenaean, Minoan and possibly Cretan Greek settlers, and they probably adapted the existing script to write their own language - the oldest known inscription in Greek dates from the 11th century BC. Cypriot Greek had much in common with Greek dialects of Arcadia and Pamphylia, which corresponds to the province of Antalya in Turkey.

The inspiration for this font was a two-sided piece of paper. The glyphs were created by bending strips of this paper, then scanned and recreated digitally.

Lucian Bernhard's lettering creation for American Type Founders is to this day a favorite among font connoisseurs worldwide. It has a unique personality. A number of styles and alternate characters have been added to the family such as heavy italics, extra heavy italics, and capital figures. The name of this blackletter font was chosen due to the centennial of the Bauer Foundry, Frankfurt am Mai, in 1937. Ernst Schneidler probably created then the most beautiful of all fraktur fonts. They are the fruit of countless calligraphic drawings and of many years of professional experiences. Zentenar Fraktur became in its time the workhorse among German blackletter fonts.
