We have transformed the “99 names of ALLAH” into a font. That means each key on your keyboard represents 1 of the 99 names of ALLAH Aaza Wajal. The typeface Yusyad is designed mainly for a very sentimental and emotional reason. The typeface's name Yusyad is a portmanteau word consists of two morphemes. It is a simple name-meshing for two different names. Those names represent the name of the designer's wife (Yusra) and the name of the designer (Eyad). Yusyad is like an epithet that ties the two partners' honest and eternal relationship until the last day of their lives. Technically, Yusyad is a sans-serif condensed and display typeface. Technik is a constructed typeface, which is almost strictly designed from basic geometrical elements consisting of mainly circles, also squares and diagonal shapes. Another characteristic is the connection of diagonals, verticals and diagonals, and also of some circle shapes touching each other at one point. It gives this type an original look, and prevents the problematic dark places in some letters. The technical feeling of the type (mainly in uppercase letters) is balanced by the design of lowercase which looks more friendly and fresh. Technik is not designed as a text typeface, it is recommended mainly for display typesetting. First off, Slivowitz is written with a v (SlivoVitz), rather than a w, but I liked it better with a w. Slivowitz is a plum brandy from Eastern Europe. My father used to be an international truck driver and he often had to go to Eastern Europe. He took all kinds of ‘western’ goods with him to give away (plastic bags, beer, cigarettes - remember, Eastern Europe at the time was still communist!). He always came back with bottles of Slivowitz. I never tasted it, as I was too young, but I liked the name and I decided to name this font after a fond memory! Slivowitz is an easy-going handwritten script font - it looks good on fashion items, book covers and fancy magazines, but greeting cards will look just as great. Comes with a bunch of ligatures, alternates and a whole lotta diacritics!

The Geometry Pro family has been designed to be the final word in purely geometric fonts, and this rounded Script sub-family is a nod to the 50s style of connected logomarks. Times with a Human Face: In my article of the same name which appeared in the magazine Font, volume 2000 I described the long and trying story of an order for a typeface for the Czech periodical Lidové noviny (People’s Newspaper). My task was to design a modification of the existing Times. The work, however, finally resulted in the complete re-drawing of the typeface. The assignment, which was on the whole wisely formulated, was to design a typeface which would enable “a smooth flow of information in the reader’s eye”, therefore a typeface without any artistic ambitions, from which everything which obstructs legibility would be eliminated. A year later Lidové noviny had a different manager who in the spring of 2001 decided to resume the cooperation. The typeface itself definitely profited from this; I simplified everything which could be simplified, but it still was not “it”, because the other, and obviously more important, requirement of the investor held: “the typeface must look like Times”. And that is why the above-mentioned daily will continue to be printed by a system version of Times, negligently adjusted to local conditions, which is unfortunately a far cry from the original Times New Roman of Stanley Morison. When I was designing Lido, the cooperation with the head of production of Lidové noviny was of great use to me. Many tests were carried out directly on the newspaper rotary press during which numerous weak points of the earliest versions were revealed. The printing tests have proved that the basic design of this typeface is even more legible and economical than that of Times. The final appearance of Lido STF was, however, tuned up without regard to the original assignment – the merrier-looking italics and the more daring modelling of bold lower case letters have been retained. The typeface is suitable for all periodicals wishing to abandon inconspicuously the hideous system typefaces with their even more hideous accents and to change over to the contemporary level of graphic design. It is also most convenient for everyday work in text editors and office applications. It has a fairly large x-height of lower case letters, shortened serifs and simplified endings of rounded strokes. This is typical of the typefaces designed for use in small sizes. Our typeface, however, can sustain enlargement even to the size appropriate for a poster, an information table or a billboard, as it is not trite and at the same time is moderate in expression. Its three supplementary condensed designs correspond to approximately 80% compression and have been, of course, drawn quite separately. The intention to create condensed italics was abandoned; in the case of serif typefaces they always seem to be slightly strained. I named the typeface dutifully "Lido" (after the name of the newspaper) and included it in the retail catalog of my type foundry. In order to prevent being suspected of additionally turning a rejected work into cash, Lido STF in six designs is available free of charge. I should not like it if the issuing of this typeface were understood as an “act out of spite” aimed against the venerable Times. It is rather meant as a reminder that there really are now alternatives to all fonts in all price categories.

Muisca, that in its early edition was named as «Muisca Sans», was developed in mid-1997 and based on the graphic concept of pre-Columbian characteristics figures within some of the very few visual elements recovered from the Muisca culture. This ancient pre-Columbian tribe disappeared since the arrival of the Spanish 500 years ago, in what is now the center of Colombia. In fact, the name of the capital Bogotá goes back to Bacatá as primary or village downtown of what was once the imperial capital of the Muisca tribe. This typographic project was submitted as my work for the degree in Graphic Design, obtained in September of that year (at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia), under the creative concept of vindicating the ancient culture and identity through a functional typeface, into a fact without precedent in the country. Muisca was recently edited, arranged and completed, including multilingual diacritic glyphs to be versatile in several languages. Related and inspired by Latin America, Ethnic, Native, Tribal, Mysthical, Handmade, Aboriginal, Pre-Hispanic, Pre-Columbian, Textured, Fantasy. Ideal to be used in logos, display text & titles, games and other design applications that reminds of the Pre-Hispanic art.

Eyadish is an entertaining, comic, and childish font. The name of this font is originally derived from two main syllables. The first one is "Eyad-" which refers to my first name and the second syllables is "-ish" which means characteristics of or relating to. Hence, "Eyadish" refers to the characteristics that "Eyad", the typographer, himself has and had during his childhood. I do like this font for its childish and comic shapes. I have decided to design this font trying to leave a humble and personal imprint regarding the magic and innocent world of all children. Frankly, it is my most favorable designed font. This font comes in two different weights with facilities for writing and publishing in different alphabets included in various Latin and Cyrillic texts and scripts. "Eyadish" is primarily designed to be fit with all prints of kids, children, and juveniles' products. It is major usage is in advertisements and publications. If you take the South Shore Line from Chicago to South Bend, your train will pass though the small community of Beverly Shores, Indiana. The beautifully restored and highly colorful “Beverly Shores” train station sign not far from the Lake Michigan beach is the source of inspiration for this connecting script typeface. The sign’s existing ten letters have now been extended to include the entire alphabet. This old-fashioned depot letterstyle is much in the spirit of such faces as Fulton Sign and Inserat Cursive. Ascenders and descenders have been lengthened and capitals are now much larger. Alternate lowercase swashes, capitals, and small figures have been included for your convenience. And custom uphill words such as “The,” “for,” and “to” have been added for more novelty and spark in headline settings. A very chunky and rounded font. I have shortened the r and t, increased the size of the dots, and tweaked a little here and there - before expanding the character set substantially. I actually like the font so much that I also used it for the CheapProFonts logo!
