SERID is a display font condensed and regular designed for editorial applications. Inverted contrast, features a serif hybrid that gives a decorative character and personality to the font. Being a display type, intended for use in titles or in small blocks of text, from 24pt. The name SERID comes from the combination of words “SERif” and “hybrID”, resulting SERID.

The design for Titulata was based on the need for a titles of extreme weight, dynamics and soft morphology. Strong and clear, it takes graceful form in the line and is legible even in small bodies. The script variable is softer and features some punch-line touches, providing another vision and incorporating traits of manual writing. One important feature is that both styles have the same rendering in text box, reason why signs can be combined without other alteration that the form of the printed word.

Polke is a single weight display face brimming with style and charm but simultaneously exuding impressive core strength and a vibrant personality. Floating ball terminals rub shoulders with contrasting sharp and rounded letterforms to produce a distinctively decorative headline font built on robust foundations. Polke's name is derived from the striking terminal dots which dominate the character set, creating a Polka-Dot effect throughout. I also had the artist Sigmar Polke in mind which explains the spelling, and so the two ideas simply morphed together.

Colonna is an inline roman typeface with some very elegant letterforms, based on artwork obtained by Stanley Morison during 1926 as part of a program to increase the range of display faces in the Monotype library. The letters of the Colonna font have an inscriptional feel about them, figures are non-ranging. Originally developed as an advertising face, Colonna is at its best when used in large sizes.

A 1967 ad for Aurora “Monster Scenes Custom Builder Kits” featured the drippy, gooey hand lettering long associated with science fiction and horror movies. The letters in the ad were auto-scanned and additional characters were completed with the end result being a horror-themed font with sharper angles and lines instead of drips. This is now available as Monster Movies JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

A roughened and worn version of Daily Tabloid JNL was originally created as a non-exclusive custom font for a client. The design emulates the look of old letterpress wood type and has now been released commercially as Regional News JNL; available in both regular and oblique versions. A special acknowledgement goes to Michael Hagemann of Font Mesa Fonts who partnered with Jeff Levine Fonts for the original project. Aglio was developed from letterforms originally painted by muralist/artist Tanya Zabinski. Aglio maintains the character of bold brushstrokes with random gaps and marks, and there are flourishes of articulated endstrokes. This typeface merges the looseness and freedom of hand painting with a decorative artistic sensitivity. Aglio (the Italian word for garlic) has an organic construction that evokes the spirit of this most assertive culinary favorite.

Within the 1893 edition of the Barnhart Bros. & Spindler type specimen book is “Bisque”, a text and headline type face with a charmingly eccentric look. Some upper case characters take on more of a squarer look than others, while the lower case has a higher ‘x’ height. This type revival is now available as Soup and Salad JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

Tall, thin, grid, legible and handmade! What's not to like?! The font was made using a squared paper as a base for the lines. However, I managed to keep the free spirit of the handmade look, despite the guides. Play around with the 4 different versions of each letter and the swashes to make your text stand out!

Poster Cut Neue is a hand-drawn, rough display family. With some retro grotesque sans serif inspiration, the characters give an informal and active look and feel. The imperfections keep it casual but it is still legible. Ideal for organic and natural settings where a more human touch is required with branding, packaging, headlines, posters, advertising, illustrations, titles, etc. Switch between upper and lowercase letters for a uniquely drawn glyph, adding variety and helping avoid repetition.

Showgirl JNL was inspired by a photo of a 1940s-era Minsky's Burlesque theater. The neon letters on the marquee spelling out the word 'burlesque' exuded a wonderful period look.

Sabbatical is a no nonsense brush font family with lots of character. The family contains 3 hand-lettered fonts, Regular, Bold and Basic. This dry textured script font is inspired by travel journals written by adventurous souls, hence the name. The design is perfect for any type-based creations, quotes, invites, packaging, branding and much more! Sabbatical Basic has his own unique form which complements Sabbatical Regular and Bold. It consists of a fun caps font with an even more playful variation. All Sabbatical fonts have alternate glyphs that can either be accessed by the swashes feature, stylistic sets, or glyphs panel, depending on the application you are using. Kontrast Grotesk represents a contrast in type design based on a different principle. It was inspired by W. A. Dwiggins and his experiments with the stroke variations. Contrast in this typeface is created not only with the influence of the writing tool (the thickness of horizontal strokes in relation to vertical), but by setting the primary and secondary construction strokes of the characters (e.g. glyph “E”). The grotesque types are usually with no or minimal contrast. Having the contrast has created a new and original look of this typeface without compromising the legibility. The fonts are designed for fluent reading on the screen. A little wider proportions are specially welcome with no need for saving a space as it is in printed media. Kontrast Grotesk family consists of five weights, with italics, small caps and italic small caps. Fonts contains a range of opentype features.
