»Cristal Text« has nice to read lower case letters. It contains 636 letters per font style and some Open Type features: Different stylistic alternates and different sets of numerals. It is not monospaced: Therefor it stays not true to an underlying grid like it’s bigger brother »Cristal True«. But this offers a better legibility. The basis of this font is a Union-Jack or sixteen-segment display (SISD). I have found myself in the need of a precise and well-made font, that simulates the look of such a LCD display. Also it should offer enough letters and language support for the whole European region as well as different font styles.

GummiType is a wildly wobbly and clumsy gummy/jelly style letter font. This was a weird typeface that I originally designed back in 2000 but never finished it. Coming across it again recently, I thought it would be a fun font family to get out there. Perfect for a range of designs that require a spooky or gooey-gooey typestyle. Sometimes the inspiration for my typefaces comes from random everyday things, and this is the perfect example of that. My daughter is addicted to those little peach gummy rings and gummy worms, and gummy anything, but it was my own prior addiction to gummy peach rings that inspired this font. Pulling and distorting the ring sparked the inspiration for the droopy warped characters.

My name is Teruyoshi Matsui. I am a Brush Artist living in Japan. I artistically write the letters of the alphabet with a Japanese brush. I believe I am the only one in the world as a brush artist. I once declared on my blog that I would be a world artist. This is my ultimate goal once my name is recognized. I have created the font “ BrushType Italic”. It is an artistic product of mine. I only had this bouncy curve and a photograph of a daily menu (Truite Meunière) I took outside an obscure Paris restaurant when starting the design of this font. But while working on it I suddenly started thinking about Jacques Tati the famous but almost forgotten french director of Les Vacances de Monsieur Hulot, Jour des Fêtes, Mon Oncle, Playtime, Trafic etc. I thought about his bouncy walk and his hilarious ideas. The memories never left me while working on the font, so I decided to name the font after this great French moviemaker who gave me so many happy hours. Since Tati was a very funny character, I gave my characters a funny price. Thank you Jacques Tati, yours Gert Wiescher

It influenced for a variety of later grotesque fonts, such as Helvetica and Univers. Basic Commercial was distributed for many years in the United States under the name Standard Series. The Basic Commercial's font family members have a clear and objective design. Their forms exhibit almost nothing unusual, but remain both lively and legible nonetheless. P22 Graciosa is a five font family based upon designs for a metal type by Carlos Winkow (1882–1952), a German type designer who lived and worked in Spain in the early 20th Century. Graciosa is a sort of hybrid blackletter/text font, with simplified blackletter caps and a serifed lowercase with subtle script flare. There is a Regular, Black, an open version called White, and an engraved version called Gris. The version called Multi serves as a fill font to allow for multi-colored layering options. A revival of these designs was initiated by Matthias Beck in 2015. The character set was expanded for use in 21 languages (OpenType Standard). The digitization and reintroduction of these old fonts—created in Spain and practically forgotten—makes them regain a new life. This project was subsidized by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.

Butan was originally designed as a typographic project for the Specialization in Typography Design at the University of Buenos Aires, during the years 2013 and 2014. The project was conceived as a “wayfinding” font, that would be functional for bilingual signage systems. The main guideline for its design was to create a font that could be readable from great distances and it could be potentially used in signage systems. Font designed from that used in Bamberg by Albrecht Pfister, in early years of printing, exactly for a book titled "Ackermann Von Böhmen" writen in old German by Johannes Von Tepl, and decorated by a lot of splendid colored carved woods. This font include "long s", naturelly, as typically medieval, but any abbreviated characters, and, curiously no german "ß", no more than "W". (The only one I did found where a hand drawn one.) In addition, the "k" have not a German gothic form. Added, the accented characters, no longer existing on this time, and capitals when was a lack. A render sheet, in the font file, makes all easy to identify on a keyboard. This font is used as variously as web-site titles, posters and fliers design, editing ancient texts... This font supports as easily enlargement as small size, remaining readable, original and beautiful, especially in capitals.
