Metal Cry is a font family that was inspired by countless hours spent playing video games, watching old movies or reading comic books. And even more hours closely analysing the design of all these things. The art of creating beautiful letters has slowly declined with the rise of the digital age and its solid-colour, 2D fonts. And most of the time, the care given to typography in cultural products just isn't what it used to be anymore. This was the inspiration for Metal Cry, a family of 4 layerable fonts that can bring a feeling of depth to its letters, and offers endless possible combinations. Metal Cry Outlands is the basic shape of all the characters, it can be used as the bright side of the bevel. Metal Cry Front is the inline border font that can be used as the front side of the bevel. Hebden is a ‘Northern’ font. Inspired by the town Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire, the family is a mix of a grotesque and an incised serif. The grot is based on Victorian train station signage and the serif is style that can be spotted in and around the Yorkshire Dales region. Hebden has a nostalgic twist and is ideal for labelling, signage and memorable messages. The grotesque face with its robust angles and warm circular curves recalls the style of traditional English sans-serifs like Caslon’s 2-Line Egyptian. The incised face has strong but sophisticated and natural forms and is based on a wood carved style popular in the early 20th century. The weight of the two faces are are drawn to complement each other creating an evenly balanced combination. A tessellation is a shape that can be used to completely fill the plane—simple examples are isosceles triangles, squares, and hexagons. Tessellation patterns are eye-catching and visually appealing, which is the reason that they have long been popular in a variety of decorative situations, such as quilting. A new year has begun, new resolutions have been made. Fresh ideas are popping up and a new life is about to begin. All in all, I figured New Beginnings was the perfect name for my first font in 2016. It is a very happy, very original typeface. All caps, but upper and lower glyphs differ and can be interchanged. The old characters of the 8th century are the inspiration for this font. Specifically those used during a remote time of the Basque Country - or waskonia as the Franks would call it - in the old gravestones and doors entryways.

The Saihat font is inspired by Arabic or Middle Eastern style calligraphy. This font is made with Latin characters so that it can be read internationally which does not have to be able to read Arabic characters. This font is perfect for Middle Eastern or Muslim designs. In addition, the Saihat font can also be used for other decorative design concepts.

Sanremo - this bold display font is a stylish and original multipurpose font in a modern style with many alternatives and ligatures that are very attractive. With their help you can make your project unique. Use the main set to highlight exactly what you need. All characters in this font are PUA-encoded and can be accessed from the Glyph panel.

Knip, in Dutch, means ‘cut’. You can tell by the glyphs that I made this font by cutting out the shapes from black paper, gluing it onto white paper and photographing the result so I could digitalise it! I don’t make too many cut out fonts, as it is a lot of work and it often leads to nothing. Besides that, I depend on the paper supply from my kids and they happened to have black paper this time!

Introducing vintage label font named Casinova. The font is inspired by vintage signs from the mid-20th century, as well as neon casino signs. This font has a multilingual support (check out all available characters on previews). The font family has two styles: Regular and Color. Also the font has six layer effect styles you can see them on preview. This font will look good on any vintage styled designs like a poster, T-shirt, label, logo, etc.

When designing AM Sans One, it was a great challenge for me to develop a modern sans serif, which despite the large number of existing fonts in this sector has its own unique character. Starting point for the design concept was the cap O, designed as a rectangle with rounded corners, and not as usual as a circle or oval. The O should form the basis for the whole alphabet. Another feature are the characters with oblique starting and end strokes such as "A, V, W". These have not exactly straight, diagonal lines, but have a slight curvature. Thus, these letters do not look too geometric. Also the cap K deviates slightly from the usual shape which makes AM Sans One different from other already existing fonts. I could well imagine applying this font for areas such as engineering or architecture.

Quaderno Slanted is a light and monolinear script, accompanied by the heavier weights. This connected script combining elements of the traditional Italian script Bella Scrittura. Quaderno is suited for middle length texts and headlines and evokes both vernacular and commercial lettering of the 20th century and a typeface for school book purposes. You can also overlap them and get a double stroke effect.

IngyStarTilings allows one to create a variety of patterns that have stars. Some of them are quite common and others less so. A sample file is available that shows possible patterns that can be constructed with this typeface, including some non-star repeating patterns. As the posters indicate, some of the patterns constructed with the regular version are intended to be multicolored.

Originally I planned to call this font “pegefinger” which is index finger in danish. Due to the obvious reason that I drew the letters using my “pegefinger” :) Most letters mimic a loose (perhaps even childish) handwriting, but the legibility is never out of hand. I’ve added 5 different versions of each lowercase letter, and they automatically changes as you type!

Colour is more fun than black, but multicolour is even better. Let me introduce URLOP, a wide type family suitable for your fancy posters, headlines, covers, illustrations, websites, initials, blackmails, chronicles, signboards, poems and many others. Twelve basic styles, which make the overall construction, give a wide range of opportunities. All of them, being able to mix with each other, vary from a thin INSIDE, through a medium FILL, to a double-stem PLUS styles. And then comes a range of colour fonts, so you don’t have to waste any of your precious time for experiments, because I’ve already done it for you! URLOP is an all-caps display collection consisting of three sub-families of fonts, divided by the usage they are designed for. First of all, there is a wide range of alphabets made in the new OpenType-SVG colour fonts format. This is quite a novelty and a very promising technology at the same time. It allows designers to store colour information inside the font. Due to my experience with layered colour thinking that I explored in my first family - Epilepsja , I decided to make several preset layer combinations in this auspicious format. Quercus is characterised by open, yet a little bit condensed drawing with sufficient spacing so that the neighbouring letters never touch. It has eight interpolated weights with respective italics. Their fine gradation allows to find an exact valeur for any kind of design, especially on the web. Quercus serif styles took inspiration from classicistic typefaces with vertical shadows, ball terminals and thin serifs. The italics have the same width proportion as upright styles. This “modern” attitude is applied to both families and calls for use on the same page, e g in dictionaries and cultural programmes. Serif styles marked by “10” are dedicated to textual point sizes and long reading. The sans-serif principle is rather minimalistic, with subtle shadows and thinned joints between curved shapes and stems. Quercus family comprises of the usual functionality such as Small Caps, Cyrillics, diacritics, ligatures, scientific and aesthetic variants, swashes, and other bells & whistles. It excels in informational and magazine design, corporate identity and branding, but it’s very well suited for book covers, catalogues and posters as well. When choosing a name for this typeface I've been staring out from my studio window, thinking helplessly without any idea in sight. Suddenly I realised that all I can see is a spectacular alley of oaks (Quercus in Latin) surrounding my house. These oaks were planted by the builders of local ponds under the leadership of Jakub Krčín in the fifteenth century.
