النبض - the Pulse Pulse JP ME is a constructivist text and display font that differs from comparable fonts due to its special sharpness and harmonious balance. Its technical and constructed form creates a somewhat artificial impression of particular appeal. It is ideal for display on the screen and can be used in many projects. Pulse JP ME is a super family consisting of 48 fonts from compressed to expanded in six weights each. This opens up a wide designspace with the possibility of combining typefaces of the same character in a wide variety of variants and being able to adapt them to very different conditions. The details of the individual fonts are coordinated with each other with great precision and perfectly implemented in terms of craftsmanship. In all variants, this leads to a very balanced design with particular sharpness. The very extensive character set supports 120 Latin + 7 Arabic languages + Hebrew. The Arabic characters were designed in close collaboration with the Iranian designer Prof. Raafat Negarandeh. Here the constructivist approach is repeated within Arabic proportions. This leads to a very reduced and clear design with high legibility. Additional typographical adjustments can be made in the variable font, which is also available. There all variants are stored in a single font and can be continuously fine-tuned between them.

Drummer is a large futuristic font family inspired by the Expansion TV series, old science fiction book covers and Honda Prelude and Porsche logos. The family contains a large number of styles and a lot of language support. 54 styles, 6 in width (Ultra Condensed, Condensed, Normal, Expanded, Extra Expanded, Ultra Expanded) and 9 in weight (Thin, Extra Light, Light, Regular, Medium, Semi Bold, Bold, ExtraBold, Black). The font also has a variable version. 573 glyphs, including 40 alternate characters. A lot of work has been done on the font. The fillets on the symbols have been well worked out and tested for a better visual and practical experience. The font combines the monospacing of many characters combined with kerning, which makes it very convenient for many purposes, such as vertical typography. The font is good in all sizes, both small and large, which makes it possible to use it anywhere. Branding, logos, titles, posters, texts, covers, merch, prints, web, titles, banners, games and design in games and much more. The idea for this completely new font design with overlapping characters came when Axel Stoltenberg, longtime IKARUS program developer at URW + +, visited a restaurant. As it can be seen quite often , the daily specials were offered handwritten with chalk on a blackboard applying a writing technique never been available before for digital fonts: each character is partly covered by its predecessor creating a three-dimensional effect. The implementation of this unusual notation for digital setting required a lot of programming and testing until all necessary character variants were produced and set properly always using the correct form. In order to achieve this, the OpenType Pro font ThreeDee contains about 12,400 characters and all the necessary OpenType features (GSUB ) for the automatic setting in OTF savvy application programs. The slightly playful basic design for ThreeDee was created by Anna Stoltenberg , the daughter of Axel, specially devised for the innovative representation and support of its special nature. The shadow generated with IKARUS even intensifies the 3D effect. As is well-known, making use of the embedded OTF features, i.e. the automatic access to all the 12,400 character variants , a corresponding text / layout program ( InDesign, Quark Xpress, current Open / LibreOffice or MS Word etc. ) is required. ThreeDee is a headline font that will unveil all its charisma and exceptional quality at appropriate, larger sizes.

PMN Caecilia™ is the premiere work of the Dutch designer Peter Matthias Noordzij. He made the first sketches for this slab serif design in 1983 during his third year of study in The Hague, and the full font family was released by Linotype in 1990. The PMN prefix represents the designer's initials, and Caecilia is his wife's name. This font has subtle variations of stroke thickness, a tall x-height, open counters, and vivacious true italics. Noordzij combined classical ductus with his own contemporary expression to create a friendly and versatile slab serif family. The poor resolution of many digital display systems represents a major challenge when it comes to presenting text. So-called 'font hinting' can help with this process. This, for example, provides the system with information on which lines are to be displayed in a particular thickness, i.e. using a specific number of pixels. As font hinting is a largely manual and thus very complex technique, many typefaces come with only the most necessary information. What is unimportant for a text printed in high resolution can result in a poor quality image when the same text is displayed on a screen, so that reading it rapidly becomes a demanding activity. Specially optimised eText fonts can help overcome this problem. An extremely refined and elaborate font hinting system makes sure that these fonts are optimally displayed on screens. Monotype has not only adopted font hinting for this purpose but has also thoroughly reworked the fonts to hone them for display in low resolution environments. For example, the open counters present in the letters C, c, e, S, s, g etc. have been slightly expanded so that these retain their character even in small point sizes. Also with a view to enhancing appearance in smaller point sizes, line thickness has been discreetly increased and x-height carefully adjusted. Kerning has also been modified. This serif typeface was designed to be simple and neutral on text sizes, there descender proportions are short and the x-height is large. The lowercase italics contain different structure from roman characters, but the most differentiation detail is the fact the ascender and descender strokes don’t contain serifs. Italics characters are slightly more narrow and condensed than roman letterforms.
