The font name comes from the Dutch word "Rijk" meaning "rich". Robofan is a vintage Open Type font based on the logo of reconfigurable robots (toys and characters) from the mid 1980s. The typeface was conceived when looking at the author’s own collection of Transformers, he noticed many basic drawing and spacing problems, missing characters, incorrect accent shapes and a lack of proper rhythm in the typeface used in the newest toy’s packaging, mistakes that didn't happen in the toys back in the 80s. These mistakes were so evident that the author decided to look back at the original lettering from the 80s to capture the original spirit of the Transformers. Cal Uncial Rough is a calligraphic font based on sketches written with cane calligraphy pen and ink on coarse-textured paper. Because of the fact that the Uncial don't have lowercase letters, there are small capitals instead of the lowercase. As the Latin version of the Uncial was created from the Greek Uncial script (translating the Bible from Greek into Latin), in addition to the standard Latin graphemes, the font contains the Greek alphabet (and also the Cyrillic letters (Ustav), derived from the Greek Uncial too). Regardless of the stylistic connection, there is a difference between the morphology of related Greek, Latin and Cyrillic letters. Most of the graphemes are based on traditional roman and insular uncial calligraphy. Cal Uncial Rough is suitable for the preparation of calligraphic sketches as well as an application in typography that should bring us closer to historical topics (European literature, quotes, history, film ...).

Yana Klink is an illustrator at Art. Lebedev Studio, whose works are often accompanied by lines of fancy text written in her own recognizable manner with long strokes and “beauty spots.” Once we needed to apply that style to a number of pieces of text, we decided to design a decorative script called Klinkopis. It comes in one weight (regular). Text set in Klinkopis looks best when arranged in waves, like the original. It is recommended to use large sizes—from 24 pt and up—and have no more than just a couple of lines that become an essential part of the artwork. Klinkopis is designed to use OpenType Contextual Alternates. To beautify your project even further, some characters can be manually replaced with their more intricate or plainer variations depending on the neighboring letters. I became interested in designing Bodoni Classic because of a lazy graphic designer at Jacques Damase publishing house. He had to change a single letter on a bookcover about J. B. BODONI. The French call him Jean Baptiste instead of Giambattista! And that unknown graphic designer just took any old “J” from some newly cut Bodoni. All the new Bodoni cuts have square serifs, whereas the originals had rounded serifs and slightly concave feet. The single letter “J” with the squared off serif was for me like a road sign to start redesigning the entire Bodoni family. That’s exactly what I started in 1993 and a dozen years later I am finished. Okay, I am still adding new Bodoni Classics, but those are my personal additions.
