The Artful Dodger is a character in Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist. Dickens wrote his books in the Victorian Era, which also gave birth to a beautiful and extensively used typeface called Clarendon. The typeface was developed by Robert Besley and first published in 1845. Artful Dodger was modeled on the glyphs found in a 1865 book, which was typeset in Clarendon. Artful Dodger has not been 'cleaned', so the glyphs look rough and worn, just like the book I found them in.

Mailbox Letters Two JNL is the second typeface from Jeff Levine inspired by metal lettering used on mailboxes and homes. Each cast letter or number sat on a lower "rail" which was then slipped into a slot that held them firmly in place. Jeff's Inventory JNL looked close enough to the original type style to use as a model for this font, and for typographic purposes there are certain punctuation and other glyphs that "float" above the rail. Limited character set.

Andes, designed by Daniel Hernández, is a display typeface that has neo-humanist characteristics. Its different terminals, among other elements, give it a look of mixed typography. When looking for a neutral typeface with no historic reminders, we always end up with notorious designs made about 60 years ago. It’s a part of the whole Trivia type system. To our surprise, there are still people who can’t distinguish three basic latin type categories. The present font family has been created for them. Bulletin Script was a style offered by several American wood type manufacturers in the late 19th Century. It may actually be one of the most iconic styles of the late 1960 Psychedelic era when Victorian revival was in full swing. The style known as "Bulletin Script No. 2” varies from the more commonly seen Bulletin in that its bottom strokes have a concave swash to them rather than rounded bulbous bottom terminals. This new digitization features over 300 glyphs including Central European characters.

ITC Cancione is the inspired work of California calligrapher and illustrator Brenda Walton. She gave a rough texture to her tall, thin all caps alphabet and its ornaments, making them look as though they were drawn with a brush on stone and then left to withstand years of weather and wear. The graceful letters are complemented by a variety of ornaments and flourishes as well as alternates and even stylized words making ITC Cancione perfect for greeting cards and stationery.

The basic idea for this headline typeface is to create strictly geometric letters, similar to script typeface, as far as possible in a single sweep, without setting them down. Morgenfrisk is one of those words you cannot really translate: it is Danish for ‘feeling refreshed after a good night’s sleep’. Morgenfrisk font is a handmade, thin school class font - very legible, very neat and very nice too. I found the original letters in a Speedball™ Text Book. There were only so many of them, so I designed the missing ones myself. I adjusted some of the original letters to a more contemporary look. Comes with a frisk amount of diacritics!

Crystal is a very trendy two font system that could be layered to give You multiple possibilities in designing. When You use it with gradient it gives a faceted 3-D effect. Handu, designed by Alex Jacque in 2012, is an affable hand-drawn sans-serif inspired by the hand-painted type and signage on the streets of Kolkata, India. Fitting then that it come to life with brush and paint. When used for display purposes the organic, painted texture of Handu's glyphs really shines. Quench is a fun and unique typeface from designer Hannes von Döhren. It is unmistakably characterized by its strong contrast of inside and outside forms. The counters are nearly straight and have many right angles. Conversely, the outside curves are smooth and rounded making them soft and almost bubbly. The italics have juicy curves reminiscent of brush lettering. Used together or individually, the four weights and styles can be used for a wide variety of projects including magazines, advertising, logos, and branding.

Summit rehashes both Circuitry Fonts, combining them into one font. To further modernize Summit, I have included all the characters required for full character set. Regular with Small Caps. Summit includes all punctuations, numerals, diacritics and special characters. The oringinal Circuitry Font was inspired by the printing on electronic circuit boards, it was interesting that most all printed font-strokes were either 90 or 45 degrees. I have kept most if not all of these angles while simultaneously giving it a contemporary feel.

Lemonado is a type family drawn with a dry brush pen. It includes upright and italic scripts and all caps fonts with brush texture or with smooth edges. Lemonado Script is playful and slightly bouncing connecting script. It includes two sets of lower cases to increase the hand writing effect. By enabling Contextual Alternates from OpenType panel you can cycle these two sets and achieve variation. Lemonado Script also includes set of lowercases without connecting stroke, you can use those in the middle of words or automatically add them at the end of words by enabling Stylistic Set 1 at the OpenType panel. There are also set of lower cases with end swashes, you can automatically add these swashes to end of words by enabling Stylistic Set 2 at the OpenType panel. Also other alternate characters and underlines are included to give you even more possibilities to play with. Lemonado Caps has two sets of upper case letters, high and low ones. You can achieve this fun looking bouncing effect by varying them. Just enable Contextual Alternates from OpenType panel and those two sets will cycle.

Rough Love, it’s fair to say, came before Love Script. The brushed letter specimens that would ultimately serve as the template for the much ‘cleaner’ Love Script have now been turned into a typeface. As I packed these up, I just kept coming back to them and staring at the texture and movement caught on the page. On a lark, I decided it would be fun to let people see an almost a before and after scenario of how one led to the other and decided to produce a typeface from these specimens… Rough Love. For the most part, in typical fashion for me when I brush out a typeface idea, I try to brush the entire character set along with each of the planned variants for swashes, titling, and other alternates—the reason for that is simple -- each letter looks and acts a bit differently when the same movements are imposed on them. With Rough Love, I tried to adhere to that and made very few modifications to the originals, and only had to ‘borrow’ in a few occasions when I happened to forget to brush a variant.
