This family, in normal and bold weights, is based on Advertisers Gothic, designed by Robert Wiebking for Barnhart Brothers & Spindler in 1917. As a follow-up to his popular Chocolate font, Angel Koziupa softens his brush again to produce Felipe, a font made in the memory of his brother. As packaging-friendly and versatile as any Koziupa font, Felipe contains fresh perspectives on old characters. Some of the majuscules and figures show characteristics normally reserved for minuscules. The overall color of the font is somewhat bittersweet, which adds to its ability to capture the attention in display settings. Telephone Extended is a geometric semi-slab family with block serifs positioned to assist wordflow. The typeface evolved from an italic wordmark designed in 1966 for the British GPO by the Banks & Miles agency to publicize all-figure telephone dialling (all-number calling), and the new fonts retain that italic spirit, even in the upright romans. Strogino is a modern display pseudo-monospaced sans serif font. Due to the special design and some variants, all letters are easily identifiable though stuck together. It is as geometric as possible, being made with the simplest forms, capital letter sizes are exactly square. This allows to even create seamless patterns for backgrounds and watermarks. TwentyFourNinetyOne [2491] is a reinterpretation of the alphabet of 1919 by Theo van Doesburg; the original a true rendering of the thinking of the Dutch-based art movement “de Stijl.” Jump forward to 1980 and prop lettering used on the Buck Rogers in the 25th Century television series; a vernacular typeface that was a utilitarian mix of geometry and pixel-based forms, used to symbolize the futuristic universe of 2491. At times it would appear on spaceships, laser guns, signage at space ports or in one episode, a Spandex tapestry. It only seemed logical to combine and rethink the letterforms, add ligatures + other extras, and see what the results would be.
