Ridley is a calligraphic-influenced, decorative, medieval font combining Roman and Gothic forms. It is named for Nicholas Ridley and similar in style to Staunton’s Latimer font. Ridley and Latimer were protestants burned together at the stake in 1555 during the reign of Queen “Bloody” Mary.

Mr. Nakata is another one of my favorite Haruki Murakami characters. Nakata typeface is handwritten, sloppy and messy, but comes with intelligent features like alternates and ligatures, to make it look more like handwriting and less like a font. Of course, Nakata speaks most Roman-based languages.

I felt an urge to create a font that used the bars seen in an equalizer; Sound Board is that font. If you're going to use it, you will need to put the size up much more then a normal font, this font is very skinny and tall.

Banister looks both contemporary and vintage. It contains a total of 12 styles including two main styles (Normal and Loaded), and for each style it comes with two widths (Semi-condensed and Semi-Expanded) and three weights (Light, Regular and Bold). The 40’s inspired style is subtle in banister, so it comes across more contemporary. Also, slightly curved strokes can be found on some letters, which gives a more organic feeling overall. To gain full advantage of banister, you can toggle “Fill” and “Stroke” on any editable applications to experiment the style, also layering normal and loaded styles let you discover something unexpected. Banister is versatile, simple and organic looking typeface, and good for headlines, logos, tiles and any large texts.

My latest book production group is quite conservative. I discovered my need for a pair of headline fonts with the same vertical metrics which are looser and more lively. Since the serif family is Biblia Serif, and the Sans family is Draetha [which is Welch for preach], Araldo [which is Italian for herald] makes sense to me. Narrow has my normal set of Opentype features with small caps, small cap figures, and the rest of the figure sets. Bold is too heavy for small caps, without messing with the metrics. So, it has the normal figure sets, plus a decent set of discretionary ligatures. They both work well, and are meeting my need for a headline family to add to the book production group.

Occam is an informal calligraphic script face. The letter forms were drawn and constructed rather than penned or brushed but reflect a definite flat pen influence. The ascenders and descenders incorporate an abstract implied loop form. Some curves that would normally be round are pointed and some transitions that would normally be sharp and pointed have been made round. A few exit strokes curve back instead of moving up and out for a little different look. This font could be put to good use as a contrasting style combined with sans and serif faces in applications such as newsletters, brochures, invitations and annual reports. It could be used for heads, subheads, pull quotes, drop caps and as a title font for covers.

Astrid Grotesk is a normalized version of Schizotype Grotesk. Normalized; not neutralized. Where many neo-grotesks appear cold with their harsh neutrality, Astrid has a warmth, eminating from its (for want of a better word) clunkiness. With the latest update, it becomes a true workhorse, with a range of widths and italics for the normal widths. Astrid Grotesk, while being clearly a neo-grotesk in appearance, has a personality all of its own. Standout characters include the f and t, and the default binocular g, unusual in neo-grotesks. And the right angled terminals on c, e and s. Stylistic sets offer up alternate forms of a, g, y, I, @, dutch IJ, german eszett and l. A full complement of numerals is included: proportional and tabular, lining and oldstyle, plus fractions, subscript and superscript. Note also that the tabular figures are duplexed across weights - very useful when highlighting specific entries in tables. The tabular figures feature also substitutes in fixed width (across all weights) comma and period, so your decimals line up perfectly always. Lastly, case sensitive forms of certain glyphs are included for all-cap settings. This typeface will be useful for corporate identities and branding work. It’s spaced more for text settings in the normal width, and gets more display-optimized as the width decreases, but with careful tracking, all styles can sing at display sizes. It is difficult to define the classification of Winterfell. The caps are definitely Roman however the lowercase is italic and slightly calligraphic. Because of its old style look I decided to describe it as modern medieval. This design reminded me of Game of Thrones hence the name Winterfell.

JAF Domus Titling is a rounded typeface with classical Roman proportions. It is unique in that it was designed as an all-caps sans from the beginning. The fonts range from Extralight to Extrabold and include a large number of accented characters as well as small caps and alternates.

Inspired by handwritten roman lettering, Elisabeth maintains a classic antique appearance but its rough edges lend an air of character and charm. Good looks aside, Elisabeth is technologically up to today’s standards and works well in many applications. Use at larger sizes, headings, invitations, scrapbooking, menus and advertising.

Klee is the work of British designer Timothy Donaldson, who was inspired by the work of the famous modern artist Paul Klee. The capitals can be used alone or with the lowercase letters. Klee is a unique, roman typeface whose fine line structure gives it a delicate, feminine appearance.

Sheet music for the 1923 tune "I'm Sitting Pretty (In A Pretty Little City)" had the main part of the title hand lettered in an Art Nouveau condensed Roman type design which became the inspiration for Sitting Pretty JNL. The typeface is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Dalliance Script is based on the elegant handwriting found on a map of a horrific battle between the Habsburg Coalition and France which took place at Ostrach, in southwest Germany, in 1799. A roman style, and flourishes, were added to turn Dalliance into a fully functional typeface family.

Mr. Gogoll's successful revival of Arno Drescher’s Super Grotesk was awarded the 1999 Kurt Christians Award. The Drescher Grotesk family consists of seven roman weights, including a version designed for use at small point sizes. Drescher Grotesk is a classic German geometric design, complete with the original “angled” brackets.

NAURE is a vintage classy serif typeface, with a little roman soul on it. It comes with regular, condensed, and oblique style. It have a curve that give a unique yet elegant feel at the same time. The strong characteristic makes it suitable for attention grabbing design projects

Prague was designed by Michael Gills, who was strongly influenced by the work of Czech designer Oldrich Menhart. It is a strong, angular roman typeface with classical overtones. The exciting vibrancy of Prague is suitable for a wide range of advertising work requiring a traditional or classical approach.

HALVAN –a striking type with half-serifs The Halvan font family comes in 5 styles from Roman to Bold, Italic and a Small Caps Version. Each version includes old style figures and lining figures. It is a versatile type and can be used in a wide range of circumstances.

Following up on the LP Saturnia, which is a modern interpretation of the classic Roman letterforms, comes the LP Saturnia Sans. While keeping the clear forms, this well-balanced Sans transports the original draft even further in the modern and at the same time preserves its classic character.

Traditional stencil type faces have always projected images of strength, power, police, military or industry. The hand-lettered title card for 1951's "Detective Story" (directed by William Wyler) is a perfect example of this. A bold Roman letter style, it was the perfect inspiration for Detective Bureau JNL.
