Edits and Credits JNL is a cheerful sans serif typeface modeled from ceramic letters in a movie titling set from the late 40s or early 1950s. In the original kit, letters would be lined up accordingly against a contrasting background and photographed for home or professional movie and slide titles. Note: The cap height is slightly smaller than normal for the respective point size. This will give the effect of wider line spacing - similar to that of home movie titles.

Humboldt is an ultra fat headline face. How bold can you go? Humboldt is an experiment to push the boundaries of character recognition: Its forms are extremely bloated yet highly distinctive. Open type savvy features provide an unexpected embellishment: small capitals, both lower case and upper case figures and several alternate glyphs are intrinsic in the design. Humboldt makes nice headlines and striking poster typography or logotypes. It can to some extent be used for setting even short phrases of text.

VVDS Benigne Sans is geometric font family consisting of 8 weights ranging from Thin to Ultra Bold with matching italics. Balanced and gently Thin or fat and heavy Ultra Bold, good wide range of widths, which allow use this font not only as a Headers, also as sub-headers or block texts. On the very northern edge of South Tucson lies an Old Pueblo institution, Le Caves Bakery, Home of the Vegetable Donut. That’s what they were called when Le Caves opened; now you’d say Vegan Donut, or No Animal Products Used. Radical concept in the Brave New World of 1935. I started with the letters from their sign and extrapolated the rest of the font from those. Deco Donut Fat is extrapolated from Deco Donut. If you want a donut, type a 0 (zero).

Roundica is a modern geometric typeface inspired by both classic typefaces of the 20th century like Avantgarde, Bauhaus, Futura, Helvetica and some modern fonts such as Abeat By Kai, Comfortaa, Gotham. Started in 2018 Roundica is the main reason for the appearance of Fontease Type Foundry. With its 834 glyphs Roundica includes extended Latin language support, but also Cyrillic and Greek. Designed with OpenType features like ligatures, fractions, small capitals etc., Roundica is perfectly suited for graphic design and any display use.

When I first approached this design back in 2003 I wrote myself a design brief that called for a simple sans serif "avec serifs" (with serifs). Its emphasis needed to be on text usage but to be at home in display sizes. A range of weights with a controlled step from one weight to the next, uniform character sets, spacing and kerning throughout the range. Attention to openness of counter spaces would be paramount to work in text sizes. Matching italics should be true italics not merely slanted - with a cursive feel. During extensive testing I decided to include a suite of ligatures to eliminate the hairline gaps that occur between slab serifs at display sizes. The user may activate "Discretionary Ligatures" or "Stylistic Set 1" for ligatures that are not included in the Standard Ligatures (ff, fi, fl, ffi and ffl). Ligatures FS Rufus is an outgoing, likable sort of font with an eccentric streak. Wide letterforms and curious ink-traps make for an engaging personality, and a set of discretionary ligatures make FS Rufus irresistible to designers wanting to play. Not a small set, either: there are some 80 different options available. Wide The decision was made early on to make the letterforms of FS Rufus luxuriously wide. This generates a distinctive visual texture when the font is used for text. With other weights available for headlines, FS Rufus brings a curiously engaging look to editorial, magazine covers and advertising. Just look at my ink traps Ink traps are normally the preserve of fonts intended for printing at small sizes, in newspapers or directories – extra notches necessary to prevent ink from pooling. FS Rufus turns the ink trap into a beautiful eccentricity, flaunting it in both its lowercase and capitals. Take a look at the “h”, “a” and “k”, and the “B” and “N”. Attention-seeking? Moi?

Marlin Soft is a rounded corner version of our Marlin Geo font family and like its parent font also includes two sets of italics. Everyone loves an Art Deco typeface. And there are hundreds of similarly-designed deco faces out there! But not one of them seems to have every form of every character that you want or need at any given moment. That’s why Swonderful was created! It has more letterform variations than you can shake a stick at (if you're inclined to shake sticks at things). With four variations of every uppercase form, two variations of every lowercase form (plus diacritical characters for the standard set), you’re bound to find the character you need for any given project, whether the style is French Art Deco, American Streamline Moderne, or Jazzy Midcentury Gaspipe. Just switch between stylistic sets! And you’ll find all those characters in three standard weights: Light, Regular, and Bold. Hipster Script is another of my habitual attempts at trying to reduce the divide between manual and digital. In this case, I try to articulate brush lettering, try to get the computer to emulate continuous painting. The process wasn't that different from my work with Feel Script's shot at computerized commercial lettering, though here we have a more casual contrast, rather than the high seriousness of the Copperplate script. Swashes, alternates, ligatures — too many of them, all trying to make the interplay between the tool’s two extreme widths remain faithful to hand movement subtleties. I also toyed with ligatures containing apostrophes, something I've never seen before. With this typeface I think I've become more balanced in uniting the spontaneity of post-war ad lettering with the current trends in illustration and design. Hipster Script received a Judge’s choice Certificate of Excellence at the Type Directors of New York and was selected to be part of the Bienal Tipos Latinos 2012.

Handsome was the first digital typeface to resemble nice, ordinary, fully cursive handwriting. Or neon. In 2005, Handsome Pro was one of the first script typefaces to utilize the OpenType format to simulate the natural quality of writing, by automatically substituting alternate contextual glyphs. The effect follows the conventional “joining rules” of calligraphy, which are a formalization of the way in which letter forms are modified in cursive handwriting for the sake of speed and efficiency—and also perhaps to make life more interesting. For the look of real handwriting, Handsome is most convincing at around 15 pts. At much smaller or larger sizes it works differently. At display size, the feel of the non-nib styles is very slick, more like a speedball Kauffman, owing to the smoothness of the finish. As script fonts go, Handsome has a relatively large x-height, which can be useful if you don't want the “writing” to look too small.

This font was created while looking at the various shapes my handwriting consistently took, especially in the ways that letters would have breaks in them. Over the course of a few months I continually tweaked the letter forms and shapes, and lo and behold, I developed Deco Sans. This family currently only includes a thin weight, as I'm only one person, and very busy with college. I'm continuing work on a regular, bold, and possibly a future italic weight, but these may not be released for many months to come. As this is a very thin font, it should be used at sizes no smaller than around 16 or 18pt as it tends to get lost in whitespace, and looks best at large sizes. As such, this weight should be considered more of a display font than a text font, however, I predict a regular weight to be very readable and much more useable for the everyday.

Vintage, country, distressed or just plain worn out. The Texas general store on the side of the highway that has been there since 1954 and they're still selling old fashion bottled soda. A renovation/excavation at a downtown urban construction site reveals the old ad on exterior brick. Barn Owl provides the headline in your project with the ultimate in aged retro visualization. It is a basic minimal font set which includes only uppercase letterforms. It is a headline font best used above 36 points in size. The first of our “Trifonictype” (Tin Sign is the 2nd) there are three components to the font, Barn Owl Outline, Barn Owl Fill and Barn Owl Shadow. These can be used in different combinations for different effects, copy and paste type then indicate a different font each time. Paste in the front or back in application to see effects in combination. Fill and Shadow could be used with irregular letter spacing for various effects. Outline could be used with just Shadow for a another effect. Use your photo manipulation program to overlay and change the transparency of your headline. There are a few extended glyphs and barn(ding)bats in the lowercase letter strokes indicated in a poster sample, these are found only in the Barn Owl Outline. The Parisii was a small Gallic people settled in the current Paris region, which gave its name to the city of Paris. According to Caesar (53 BC.), their main town (oppidum) was Lutetia (Paris). Parisii was born of inspiration to be leafing through some old magazines on the terrace of a cafe in the beautiful city that is Paris. Parisi is like the city: casual, youth, romantic, free spirited and, at the same time, sophisticated, elegant and classic. The Parisi family font is a lovely and casual handlettering script, which is based on gestual calligraphy. Parisi has a slight bounce and intentional irregularity giving your words a wonderful flow. Fat and thin stroke in this font impresses the harmony. Parisi consists of 3 subfamilies: Regular, Italic and Condensed. This font includes Parisi font has OpenType features such as Stylistics and Contextual alternates, swashes, Standard and Discretional Ligatures, stylistic sets and ornaments that allow you to mix and match pairs of letters to fit your design. Danielle Smith describes her friendly, hand-drawn typeface family, available in roman and italic, as ‘non-élitist and accessible’. Originally created for a theatre project at Massey University, Dandy is reminiscent of Pablo Ferro’s hand-lettering.

The design of the typeface Flamingo by Dior Sirous was inspired by this beautiful bird, creating long slim lines with soft curves at the ends. It is best suited for display use in Art Deco style.

Talbot Type Kitami is a minimal, geometric, stencil display font, inspired by Herbert Bayer’s Universal Typeface, created at the Bauhaus in the 1920s. Each character is created from a single continuous stroke, or combination of strokes.

BluHead Studio LLC is pleased to announce the release of Churchward Chinatype by New Zealand typeface designer Joseph Churchward. This stylized brush script is intended for display use, but is surprisingly legible at smaller point sizes.

FractalCaps was inspired by the self-similar nature of fractal geometry. It's a strictly decorative font, without accented characters. FractalCaps shines at large point sizes, and would be a good choice for wild and wooly posters.

Pantomime is an original and unusual casual Roman Script. Designed for using at larger sizes and headlines I have spaced the fortnight, as I believe this is the most effective way for producing interesting word patterns.

Hadrian Bold pushes the limits for an extra-condensed titling face. Though remaining in the tradition of the 20th-century 'grotesque' designs, its heavy verticality and tight spacing demand attention for headlines at virtually any size.

Webbies contains a set of 94 web-related dingbats. Use them in your e-shop, personal website, forum or wherever else you please! Webbies is best used at (any multiple of) size 15pt without anti-aliasing.

Crunk was inspired by the creator's (at the time) teenaged hoodlum of a brother. The font Crunk is great for headlines and text and has served its creator well over the years since it was made.

La Quinta is a display font for some small text and logo applications as well as branding, invitations, stationery, packaging, fliers, gaming texts and book jackets. Plus many other applications at the discretion of the designer.

My new font is beautiful and smooth modern calligraphic script with a straight baseline. And I also added a separate font with cute swashes at the beginning and at the end. Inspired by both turn of the century neoclassical forms and Dutch Fleischmann Type, Garvis is designed to bring the character of those typefaces into more modern times by increasing the sturdiness of the forms without losing their character. At display sizes, this typeface displays the subtle inconsistencies commonly found in traditional metal type printing. This detail is designed to virtually disappear at text size so as not to become distracting while still giving the text a warm, human quality. Garvis includes support for all contemporary (and many historic) Latin orthographies as well as complete IPA support.

We’re in a lockdown of sorts (again) and things are pretty … uhm … boring at the moment. No going out for a coffee, no school (so the kids are at home), no meeting with friends… The new reality kinda sucks if I say so myself. Besides that, it turns out that we have a new dominant type of Covid in Holland.. wait, Dominant Type! Ahh, great name for my latest font! Dominant Type is a handmade all caps font. It comes with extensive language support (including Vietnamese) and 2 sets of alternate glyphs for that bit of ‘random awesomeness’!

I am somewhat of a bargain hunter. Not at all cost, mind you, but I like a discount! Having said that, I guess I am not a true bargain hunter, because I only buy stuff I need; not because it is a bargain. I also refuse to buy fake items or products that are unsustainably produced. Bargain Hunter is a font I made with a cheap pencil (a bargain!) and my trusted Chinese Ink (environment friendly). It comes with a set of alternates and all the accents you need. And at this price, it is a genuine bargain!
