The Fredrick Ullmer Co. in London acted as agent for many typefoundries, and this was one of their offerings. Some of the letters were rather outlandish, so we fearlessly decided to improve them. The result is this dated but pleasant font. The original didn't have a lowercase, so we added it.

I want to create a font, which is very elegant. So I made Danizatti Script, a kind of classic decorative script with a modern twist. This is a display font intended for vintage logos, fashion labels, custom card headers, badges, food packaging designs, especially wine labels. Downward Fall owes its name to one of my favorite Opeth songs, called The Funeral Portrait. The song itself is an uptempo metal composition with rather dark lyrics. This peculiar combination, a mix of good and evil if you will, is what characterizes Downward Fall font: the brushwork is quick, giving the impression of speed. The undertone is darker, scarier - lots of jaggedness and decay. Downward Fall font comes with a 20.000 foot drop of diacritics.

Tarocco is a typical book face with good readability and rather tall x-height. The origin for this typeface is found in Nordisk Antikva. A typeface especially constructed with attention for the Swedish language. Waldemar Zachrisson was determined to realize his ideas and in 1906 he began to cooperate with the foundry Genzsch & Heyse, based in Hamburg. Some influences of Jugendt can be found and the typeface were released in 1910. It became rather popular until around 1930. The MRF version includes 7 weights all together.

This disarming beauty is based on a typeface named "Archer" from the 1905 specimen book from Barnhart Brothers & Spindler. The original was a rather light face; this beefed-up version highlights the face’s charming quirks quite nicely. Zemke Hand was based on the handwriting of its creator, Deborah Zemke, who also designed the symbol font ITC Situations. Cheerful and carefree, the characters have the consciously sketchy look of printed handwriting. Soft Rock is a bold condensed sans serif with rounded contours that contrives to be gentle and dynamic at the same time: rather like the soft rock bands (Chicago, Air Supply, Fleetwood Mac etc) after which it is named. The CourtGesture family fonts are zany, absurd, whimsical typefaces that were inspired by nineteenth century faces that have one style on the top and another on the bottom. They are rather crudely drawn. The CourtGestureInside style was designed to be layered over letters of CourtGesture to fill in the tops with color.

In Issue Number 84 of Push Pin Graphic, Seymour Chwast offered up this rather odd variant of his own extrablack, superbold in-your-(type)face, Blimp. Templit JNL is one of a number of fonts modeled from actual lettering stencils by Jeff Levine. This one takes its style from a set of individual letters and numbers used for marking and identifying objects. Some of the letters and numbers have solid shapes rather than traditional stencil breaks in the characters.

Hans My Hedgehog is an old fairytale which was made famous by the Grimm Brothers, when they published it in the early 19th century. Hedgehog Hans font is a fat, rounded and rather cute typeface, which is ideal for children's books and posters. It is highly legible, and comes with extensive language support.

This engaging headline face is based on a rather pudgy typeface named "Bullion Shadow", which was originally released somewhere on the cusp between the hippie and disco eras, and was equally at home in both. Both versions of this font include the complete Unicode 1252 Latin and Unicode 1250 Central European character sets.

Vendor JNL is Jeff Levine's take on the popular ribbon font of the Victorian Era, but using a vertical type (Trade Journal JNL) rather than skewed letters. End caps for the ribbon can be found on the left and right parenthesis, and a blank panel is on the hyphen key. Limited character set.

Following to Swiss design principles, Alessandro Butti and Aldo Novarese designed the Microgramma font for the Nebiolo typefoundry in 1952. Microgramma is wide, almost like an extended" font, and it has the typical look of 1950s industrial design. The font has been immensely popular as a display face ever since its original release. Use it in large sizes to help get your message across to readers."

Inspired by show card lettering and the more human side of art deco, I wanted this font to retain the casual unevenness of informal hand lettering. As decorative as the font looks, I do envision it being used for text more than display. Obviously not a workhorse, but rather a quirky niche font. I find it makes dense philosophic texts more friendly to read.

This display font has an oriental character reminiscent of brush stroke calligraphy and all things Japanese. My original working title for this font was ‘Spanner’, because the lower case ‘c’, with which the design began, looked rather like the head of a spanner. I originally had in mind something more mechanical, but as it evolved and developed the font itself obviously had other ideas!

Ziboulateur is French slang for bottle opener. The word consists of two parts: Zibula (a word from Congo-Brazzaville meaning: ‘to decork’) and the French suffix -ateur. I thought this rather creative word would be a good name for this particular font! Ziboulateur is a handmade, all caps display font. It comes with extensive language support, including Sami and Vietnamese.

Grafiker means 'Graphic Designer' in German. This fat, colored, uneven font with a 1001 uses was loosely based on the work of designers Oskar Kokoschka (1886 - 1980) and Jean Carlu (1900 - 1997). The glyphs were hand-drawn with a 0.5 roller ball and colored in with Chinese ink, using a stiff brush. The result is a lively, rather unusual font.
