Spanish Main is a revival of an old MacKeller Smiths & Jordan font named Sloping Black. Like most foundries MacKeller Smiths & Jordan doesn't display all the letters of the fonts in their specimen books so it took a little more time to find the complete character set for this old beautiful classic font. Inspired and derived from the serial numbers printed on United States paper currency, the tongue-in-cheek infringe typeface has grown from the alphanumeric set of characters that sit reservedly aside the faces of dead presidents. Taken out of their bright-green element, the characters have been given a life of their own, and have been joined by a one-hundred percent unique set of lowercase characters. The font stands out in both formal and informal uses and can be used for both headlines and supporting text.

One in the series of fonts called Whiz-Bang Wood Type, intended to be set large and tight. Pilot Point is based on an older font found in Dan X. Solo’s book on Circus Type; the designation fits perfectly. The font gets its name from a small town in Northeast Texas, where several scenes from Arthur Penn’s Bonnie and Clyde were filmed. XRoomingHouse is a typeface of pictures that I did many years ago. Most of the pictures are border elements, and within a set they can be combined to make borders or frames. There is no real style consistency in the font—it is an eclectic collection of elements. (Minor corrections and additions were made in 2018 to improve sets that can form frames. A swarm of butterflies that automagically turns into stunning patterns. This font counts 65 unique glyphs easily accessed through the keyboard (numerals, upper & lowercase plus some punctuation marks), making it possible to design patterns even in simple text editors. Just make sure to set the leading the same as the font size, as some software may override font settings. Well, in fact some glyphs don't require such accuracy and let you play with leading and letterspacing, resulting in sort of chaotic patterns. Sort of... butterfly effect.

OpenBookING is a gimmick or novelty font that has letters on pages of a book. It is caps only and monospaced. The letters on the upper-case keys are on the left-handed pages of an open book and the letters on the lower-case keys are the same letters but on the right-handed pages of an open book. One could alternate upper and lower case keys to get letters on complete books, but the Opentype feature of contextual alternatives (calt) does this automatically. Several previous typefaces from IngrimayneType used the calt feature to alternate shapes that fit together in an interlocking pattern, such as alternating concave and convex shapes. OpenBookING uses the calt feature in a different way, to alternate two halves of a symmetrical shape. To provide two copies of numbers and common symbols, some non-alphabetical characters are unavailable because their slots were taken by the second form of the number or common symbol. If stylistic set one (ss01) is turned on, spaces are replaced with empty pages. This may leave you with unwanted spaces at the end of lines, and to eliminate them, turn off the feature (or change the font) for these spaces. The empty pages can be used in a layer to add color to the text. There is also a second set of empty pages with a filled page that can also be used in layers. (See poster for examples.) These pages are on the (logicalnot multiply) and (register divide) characters for the first set and on the (ordmasculine ellipsis) and (macron trademark) keys for the second set. Finally, OpenBookING has a large set of accented characters if anyone should need them. The letters used on the books were derived from the font Myhota-Bold.
