urgle Jock is actually two fonts in one: The Regular version is a classic handmade sans and the Outline version is…well, an outlined version of the Regular - however, I made it a bit off-grid and hasty scribbled looking. The two versions works well as they are and even greater together!

Cuthbert is an unusual, semi-script, pseudo-medieval typeface. The capital letters are exuberant and whimsical. However, both the regular and italics styles are graceful enough to be used for purposes such as invitations. Included as a third member of the family is Cuthbert-ZNick, a corroded, distorted version of Cuthbert Regular.

Unchain My Heart is Font that renders hearts on a string with a capital letter in the middle. All hearts are designed to align to a perfect string by remaining the handmade look. Lowercase letters produce a heart with outline. Uppercase letters produce a filled heart. Type in a parenthesis and a loose string end will be rendered either on the right or left side. Unchain My Heart is a part of the Light Hearted Font Collection that is inspired by a recording of Jean Baudrillard with the title, "Die Macht der Verführung" (The Power of Seduction) from 2006. At first glance, Typewriter Sans JNL seems to look like the pantograph lettering of an engraved sign or the rounded-end lettering from an architect's templates. In 1999, Jeff Levine released a freeware font called "Channel Tuning JL" scanned from drawings made with a felt tip marker and designed as if the letters were breaking up due to poor reception such as on pre-digital TV sets. Over a decade later, Jeff has totally reworked the font—giving it cleaner lines, an extended character set and renaming it Channel Surfing JNL to set it apart from the roughly-drawn original.

A piece of hand lettered sheet music from the era of the "Roaring Twenties" served as a model for Raccoon Coat JNL. It was a time of Prohibition, bathtub gin, flappers and college boys decked out in beanies and raccoon coats. College pennants, ukuleles and "23 Skidoo" were all part of the youth culture during this period; which gave us such dances at the Charleston, the Black Bottom and the Lindy Hop.

The hand-lettered title on a piece of sheet music for 1938's "Don't Be That Way" (as recorded by Benny Goodman) featured squared letters with rounded corners, slight variants in line thickness and interesting "overhangs". Additionally, some letters closed off on one end while others were opened, giving the impression of a slight "maze" effect. This unique song title was enough of an inspiration to be turned into Musical Arrangement JNL.
