Public Utility JNL digitally duplicates the look of those small white-on-black self-adhesive stickers used by cities, power companies and telecommunication firms in order to identify utility poles and other service locations. A blank rectangle is available on both the solid and broken vertical bar positions.

The rustic lettering which also served as the model for Grist Mill JNL is the basis for Gristwood JNL. Another set of vintage wood type has the letters reversed out of blocks, making for a specialty titling font. Decorative end caps are located on the greater and less than keys and also on the plus and equal keys. A blank block for regular word spacing is on the underscore key, along with a wider blank box on the backslash key. This typeface has a somewhat limited character set.

Here’s a novelty font emulating the plastic pennant streamers that were popular in the 1950s and 1960s used to decorate a store parking lot or used car lot for a sales event. The typeface inside the individual pennants is Manufacturer JNL, which can be used for body copy associated with titles made by this font. Parking Lot Sale JNL is available in regular (black letters on white pennants) and black (with white letters). A blank pennant for word spacing or end caps is available on the backslash key.

Bitstream Cooper was designed at Bitstream in 1986 by means of adding light, medium, and bold styles, with the corresponding italics, to the existing black ones. Based on Cooper Black, 1919, by Oswald Bruce Cooper, which was firstly released as a hand composition font in 1922 by Barnhart Brothers & Spindler of Chicago and later spread by ATF. Cooper Black is an extra bold face based on Cooper Old Style. Bitstream Cooper is an old style face with rounded serifs and tilted back ovals. For use both in text (normal weights) and in advertising and display typography (heavy weights). Cyrillic version was developed for ParaType in 2000 by Manvel Shmavonyan and based on TM Oswald face of TypeMarket, 1996, by Victoria Grigorenko.

During the turbulent era of the 1960s, the youth of America found various ways to protest against "The Establishment". Whether it was campus unrest, protest songs, sit-ins or other methods, the message was the counter-culture movement. Arising from this disenchantment with traditional social standards, a small but effective means of protest arose that made no sound, yet spoke volumes - the pin button. Statements against the war in Vietnam, free love, drug use and other messages popped up on little metal discs pinned to tee shirts, suspenders, head band and hats. Sixties Pin Buttons JNL recreates twenty-six of these messages in both white on black (upper case keys) and black on white (lower case keys). Blank buttons in both white and black are found on the parenthesis keys.

For playfulness and something a little less ordinary, Bunbury is a wonderful script that’s packed with personality. ITC Chivalry is a calligraphic hybrid that honors the tradition of combining Roman capitals with italic lowercase letters. Drawn by Missouri lettering artist Rob Leuschke, who used a flat-nib pen on textured watercolor stock and then converted the drawings into a digital font, the design combines an old world" feel with "new world" legibility. A companion set of black letter caps completes the suite of characters. "I've loved drawing letters for as long as I can remember," says Leuschke. "Even in kindergarten, I tried to draw letters like my teacher." After graduating from college, Leuschke worked for a short time at a sign company in St. Louis, and in the early 1980s began working at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City. His talent as a calligrapher and lettering artist eventually brought him back to St. Louis to begin a freelance career. Since then Leuschke has created over 250 fonts, primarily for the greeting card industry, that are now being used on work for his clients all over the world. Leuschke first conceived of the face as just the black letter caps; he later added the Roman letters to give the design more versatility. The Roman caps of ITC Chivalry combined with the lowercase are well suited to blocks of copy, while the more decorative black letter caps are ideal for showcasing short text of just a few words. JoyRider is an 8-font family consisting of 4 weights with italics. Its bold appearance is strongly influenced by motor racing and the fast car modification culture, hence the name JoyRider.

This font was created with math teachers in mind. It is hard to represent fractions in a way that can print easily in black and white on worksheets or tests. The extra outlines on these shapes are created just for that purpose- so your student can easily identify how many parts are shaded in the image. Blanks are also included so students can color in parts of a whole.

Notebook BH Black was inspired by the block lettering we used to draw on our school binders. Notebook is a unicase design, with the lowercase drawn to the cap height, and each "case" having a distinctly different flavor. The fun and seemingly unlimited combinations of the upper and lowercase forms make it difficult to stop typing innocuous phrases and, if you're mobile, can even make boring lectures tolerable!

Halloween is a time when perfectly reasonable people choose to reenact some lost pagan rituals. No one seems to know why exactly, but Halloween has been celebrated in its present form for a little over one hundred years. This set of ornaments dates back to the early 20th century and depicts a “classic” Halloween collection of black cats, pumpkins, witches, and other indispensable Halloween ornaments.

The idea was to create a package containing prominent tag styles of graffiti strongholds like New York, Berlin and Paris. Shik (New York), Deon (Paris) and Etan (Berlin) came together to show the typical tag styles of their respective metropolitan areas. The fonts were digitized, spaced, kerned and programmed by Hannes von Döhren. The Subway Types are highly equipped. Each one consists of 4 alphabets (Uppercase, Lowercase, Small Caps & Swash). They also include ligatures and some specials like underlines and a huge range of accents for a wide language support. With the OpenType technology these features can be applied easily. For those who never used the OpenType features, we created the Std (Standard) and the SC (Small Caps) versions of the fonts. They contain the same basic characters like the OT versions but are split in two fonts. Hence you don’t need any OpenType knowledge to use the Std and SC fonts.

Binner was designed by John F. Cumming in 1898 and is an alphabet with a strongly historic character. It takes the reader back to the early part of the 20th century, when typefaces of this kind could be found in advertisements on houses and posters. The robust figures display a marked stroke contrast. Particularly striking are the high middle strokes of the E and F as well as the wavy connecting stroke of the H. The curves of the R and P extend well into the lower third of the characters. With its robust figures, Binner is best used for headlines in middle and larger point sizes.
