Spiraltwists is a family of 2 fonts giving assorted spiral shapes. In each font they're grouped in fours - the same basic spiral in 4 different orientations (N S E W almost), and Spiraltwists has solid lines making up the spirals, Spiraltwists Antique has dotted lines making up the spirals, giving them an antique or rustic appearance. Spiraltwists has heavier spirals on Upper Case, lighter spirals on lower case; plus a group of spirals with a straightened outer end and connecting lines so you get two spiral scrolls joined together by a long line at the top or bottom. Dolly Pro is a book typeface with a flourishing flavour. She’s suitable for classical book type setting as well as for more contemporary magazine designs. The family consists of four fonts: Dolly Regular is neutral and useful for long texts. Dolly Italic is narrower and lighter in colour than the Regular, and so it can be used to emphasize words within Regular text. Dolly Bold is also useful in emphasizing words within Regular text. It also works well as a display type. Dolly Small Caps is intended for setting whole words or strings of characters. With its relatively low contrast, Dolly is perfectly legible in really small sizes. When Dolly is applied in bigger sizes, such as book covers, more crispy details will show up. Right on the heels of the tremendous popularity wave that made Hollandse Mediaeval the most used Dutch typeface during the Great War years, Sjoerd H. de Roos was asked to design a 15 point type for De Zilverdistel, Jean François van Royen’s publishing company. So between 1914 and 1916, de Roos and van Royen collaborated on the typeface eventually known as Zilvertype, and which both parties viewed as an improved version of Hollandse Mediaeveal. Like Hollandse Mediaeval, Zilvertype was based on the Jenson model, but it is simpler, with more traditional metrics, lighter and more classic in color. This Pro digital version of Zilvertype comes expanded in all directions. It contains a roman, a bold and an italic. Each font contains over 685 glyphs, including small caps, eight different sets of figures, plenty of ligatures, some Dutch ornaments, and extended language support covering most Latin languages. Sequel Sans is a new chapter in the book of neogrotesque typefaces. Its core idea and its name were conceived in collaboration with the max bill georges vantongerloo foundation. The main inspiration for its design were the sans-serif typefaces used by Max Bill, the larger-than-life Swiss architect, artist, and designer. Honoring these roots, I designed Sequel Sans to be a clean and adaptable font family that is built upon a comprehensive system of styles. 8 weights, each with a corresponding italic, and a matching set of Variable Fonts are available in 4 optical sizes. Gridiot is a constructed, semi-serif, two-weight stencil family that expands an approach taken by Josef Albers. Intended for display or headline setting, it features chamfered or bevel-cut corners, used instead of curves. The individual letter components sometimes vary in depth, avoiding a strictly modular approach, while the widths are kept consistent. The lining figures provide a standard set of numbers, and the oldstyle figures align with the lowercase, encouraging lowercase-only setting. Currency and other useful numerical symbols are provided in both versions. The zero is intentionally lighter, following early Renaissance types; there are filled versions as stylistic alternates. While horizontal scaling distorts the relationship between verticals and horizontals in a typeface, since every chamfer in Gridiot is at 45°, changing the horizontal scaling of the type will affect all diagonals equally. When used at a large size, or for a just few words, Gridiot can be very tightly spaced. Remember, any idiot can design a typeface on a grid: Gridiot.

Scan is literally a barcode font, made of actual barcodes, shaped in De Stijl style. It is a monospace, all-caps font with two different barcodes per letter. Ritz Slab Serif JNL is a bold display face which shares a lot of similar design traits to Stymie and other similar metal type of the 1930s and 1940s, but in actuality was modeled from only four letters. On the sheet music for the 1937 song "Sweet Varsity Sue" [from the 20th Century Fox Film "Life Begins in College"], there is a picture of the Ritz Brothers - a popular comedy team from 1925 through the late 1960s. The hand lettered name "Ritz" became the basis for Ritz Slab Serif JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

ITC Grimshaw Hand is based on the handwriting of its British designer, Phill Grimshaw. Warm and lively, this typeface has the look of spontaneous handwriting with a little extra panache. Note the jaunty k, the swooping f, the simply stylish s, and the absolutely zingy cap Q and R. Grimshaw designed this face in 1995, at a time when he was also playing the guitar and mandolin. Katsudon is a Japanese crumbed and deep fried pork cutlet, typically served on rice with egg drizzled over it. There is also a chicken variety. I have been to Japan numerous times (it is my favourite country) and each time I revelled in the great variety of foods being served in street stalls and hole-in-the-wall eateries. I especially love the grandma-and-grandpa eateries that are tucked away in alleys behind the major shopping streets. They never speak English and my Japanese is shaky (to say the least), but the food is always good and we always seem to understand each other. This year, I couldn’t travel to Japan, because of the Covid outbreak, but I can tell you that I miss Japan a lot! Katsudon is a crumbed and deep fried font.
