Cirth was invented by John Ronald Reuel Tolkien for use in his novels. It is modelled on the Anglo-Saxon Runic alphabet, and is used to write the language of the Dwarves (Khuzdul) in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings in inscriptions in wood and stone. It is also used as a alternative alphabet for English. The fonts here are both the hobbit version and the version for English.

Tuff began with Magma. Set as text, they appear to be similar and are quite comfortable as typographic companions. The child-safe softness of Tuff owes something to the letterforms of the earliest extant Greek Manuscript, The Persae by Timotheos in the 4th Century BC. It is beholden to Morris Fuller Benton's original Souvenir, and its revival by Ed Benguiat. My own Stone Informal was also an influence.

Flavium is the reconstruction of the typographic character used in the engravings of the marble street name sign of Rome from about 1970 until the end of the eighties. It is an uniquely uppercase Roman font whose letters are confined within the space between the baseline and the caps line. Reviving a handwriting style from centuries past is similar to playing antique musical instruments; the pleasure of communing with live music arranged centuries ago by brilliant composers is heightened by the use of authentic or reconstructed artifacts. A new revived" script from the Baroque epoch is the Waza typeface, developed by Polish designer Franciszek Otto. Waza is inspired by a Wilhelm Hondius (Hondt) etching. Hondius was a Dutch court engraver for the Polish king, Ladislaus IV of the Vasa dynasty. The decorative character of the script engraved in the etching is a display of Hondius's calligraphic skill. The tangle of the flourishes in the capital letters, as well as the decorative lengthening of ascenders and descenders in the lowercase, contrast ideally with the rhythmic 30-degree slant of the design. Waza includes a set of alternative capital letters that have been deprived of ornaments; these allow the setting of proper Roman numerals, e.g., Ladislaus IV."

To design a font Blezja, I was inspired by an old metal tin from 1907 from Potsdam, which was used to store earplugs. From a few letters I created whole typeface - lower and uppercase characters.

An image found online of a vintage storefront sign for the Kraus Photo Shop was the inspiration for Photo Developer JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. The sign featured a thick and thin Art Deco style lettering with an inline cutting through the thicker strokes. Before the advent of digital photography, and way before chain stores offered in-house processing, neighborhood photo labs were the only place for getting prints from your roll film (unless you wanted to send the film into Kodak for developing and printing). Customers of these stores could also purchase additional film, cameras and photographic accessories from the same location.

A new font inspired by vintage hand-painted paper grocery store signs. The Doorbuster Collection is based on retro hand-painted paper signs primarily seen in grocery stores from the 1920s through the 1970s. We meticulously hand-drew each font, modeling the spacing and uneven baseline found in vintage sign painting. ITC Mithras was designed by Bob Anderton and finds its foundation in the worn yet elegant letters carved into stones of a Mithraic temple in Scotland. The capitals are narrow and complemented by a wide, full bodied lowercase. The proportions of the curves vary slightly between characters and this subtle contrast gives the face a mellow appearance while still attracting attention. ITC Mithras is a very legible typeface and hence applicable to a wide range of display uses.

Forum Title was originally designed by Frederic Goudy in 1911. It was intended to be the heading font used for a book set in Kennerley. Based on inscriptional Roman stone cut capitals, this face is true to the early Roman forms which did not have a lower case. Forum exemplifies the classic Roman letterform at its finest. If a lower case were desired, Forum Title can be paired with Goudy Oldstyle for a harmonious hybrid font.

This family of decorated initial letters was inspired from a French catalogue dedicated to engravers, embroiders and jewelers. unfortunately, we don't know the name of the illustrator, no more than the publisher, because a large part of the pages seems to have been lost or have been damaging, so, we have had to redrawn a few of figures. The font is containing standard Latin capitals without diacritics, identically repeated in lower case keys, and numerals.

In actuality, the design is based on examples of an electric typewriter ball element with a sans font named "Dual Gothic", suggested for use "in credit reports and other financial applications".
