While I was developing this font, my mother kept feeding me something she calls "Dream Cake". This indescribably delicious confection fueled my inspiration (there's nothing like a constant sugar-high to keep you going!) and the result is this cute little font. Dream Cake is casual in nature and as with all of my fonts, you'll find some quirky little twists to make your type projects interesting.

Automoto is built from a limited number of curved and straight segments that have been flipped and rotated. It has an extensive set of two- and three-letter ligatures that form a triple ribbon resembling a model car racetrack. For clarity, some character combinations were excluded as they proved to be ambiguous in context. The upper- and lowercase characters can be freely intermixed according to taste.

The first Clarendon was introduced in 1845 by R. Besley & Co, The Fan Street Foundry, as a general purpose bold for use in conjunction with other faces in works such as dictionaries. I’m not particularly fond of beans. I do eat them, but they’re not my idea of a delicacy… But this font has ‘fairy tale’ feeling to it, and I liked the name Beanstalker. Beanstalker is a hand made font (I used a fineliner to draw the glyphs). It is quite neat and organized, but does come with some rough edges and a bit of texture.

If there is ever a need for a heptagonal font, that is, a font based on a seven-sided polygon, Heptagroan may fit the bill, unless the need is also for true lower-case letters. Halloween is a time when perfectly reasonable people choose to reenact some lost pagan rituals. No one seems to know why exactly, but Halloween has been celebrated in its present form for a little over one hundred years. This set of ornaments dates back to the early 20th century and depicts a “classic” Halloween collection of black cats, pumpkins, witches, and other indispensable Halloween ornaments.

HOKKIEN is an all caps sister to my other font Penang. It was inspired by some old pieces of Art Deco signage I had discovered in Penang Malaysia, The font is available in one weight for now. Kodama are spirits in Japanese folklore that inhabit trees. The term is also used for trees in which a kodama houses. It's not a new idea - combining two typefaces into one design, but when it works, it makes for an interesting novelty font. A design experiment run amok! To some, the upper case A of this font resembles a diving helmet. If you put same on a guy in a gorilla suit, you have the really cheesy 50s sci-fi movie that gives the font its name. StapleTXT is a transformation from the monospaced typewriter font Staple mono into a text type. The 'mono' skeleton was used as much as possible but some characters were slightly altered in order to obtain more regularity without losing its specific typewriter atmosphere: little variation in character widths. The font has lining figures and works very well as text system in combination with the Staple mono.

I began my work on Emona while still struggling with Birka. I took the superellyptic form as the basic shape, and that gives the typeface some of its characteristics. It is strictly vertical. It is easy to classify it in the same section as Bodoni & Company. Emona is what Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, was called in the Roman days. Emona was released in 1992.

Surakarta is a display face of western characters with numerous optional ligatures modeled after the graceful Javanese alphabet still taught in many schools on the island of Java in Indonesia, though it has been replaced by the latin alphabet for most everyday purposes. Based on the typeface Lunda originally made by Karl Erik Forsberg , (1914–1998) in 1941. The name Lunda was a tribute to Berlingska Stilgjuteriet in Lund, a Swedish type foundry (1837–1980) which supported him from the start.
