Ana is a chromatic typeface consisting of 26 uppercase Latin characters, inspired by arabesque patterns from the nineteenth century. Programmed to enable users to easily create multicolored drop caps and initials, this decorative display typeface features a different ornament for every letterform, which fits perfectly with its glyph shape. This ornament is usually more luxurious on the left side of the letter, while on the right it is scarce, so that the body text can be placed close to the initial. These initials are valuable for use in large sizes, like posters, magazines, packaging design, fairy tales, and so on. The final forms of the initials consist of 5 parts which can be individually colored. There are 5 font files named Ana Layer A, Ana Layer B, and so on. A font user can manually create a multicolored initial with these font files, if there is no possibility to use the Contextual Alternates option. To do that, it is necessary to make 5 layers in the page layout software. Then, the corresponding character should be placed on each layer, so that Ana Layer A is on the lowest layer and Ana Layer E is on the highest one. Note that the glyph shapes are contained in the lower case positions. In contrast, the font file named Ana is programmed, so it is possible to create a multicolored initial with the Contextual Alternates command. There is no need for additional layers, everything happens on a single layer. First, the Contextual Alternates command (usually under OpenType menu) should be disabled. Then, using lower case key, type the desired character 5 times and apply color to them. Select them all and turn on the Contextual Alternates. Also, the font file Ana comes with a set of ‘black’ initials that can be used just like any other non-color typeface. The ornamental versions are contained in the uppercase positions, while the letters without the ornaments are in the lower case. With the font file Ana Monochrome one can only get the monochrome initials. Ornamental letters are contained in the upper case positions, while the letterforms without the ornaments are in the lower case.

Calm in spirit, loyal to friends and family, nurturing and caring-- Stella has been a friend of Jeff Levine's for years. His Estella JNL font was dedicated to her, as is this other namesake font, Morningstar JNL. The design is a cross between retro-techno and a slight calligraphic touch.

Unlike its predecessor, Andes Neue contains a larger character set of 759 glyphs which support 219 Latin-based languages from 212 countries. The font comes in 4 variants that provide a wide stylistic range. Andes Neue is the most similar to the original Andes design. The Alt1 character set bears some similarity to the old Andes's (yet cleaner); Alt2 uses the alternates in the font as default glyphs; and Alt3 is a mixture of the other three variants that offers a balanced set of characters. Hand drawn serif typeface designed for one of our books. It has upper and lowercase characters with up to three alternate glyphs. Build in OpenType Contextual Alternates feature will automatically set alternate glyphs depending on frequency of appearance of the same character (even in web font but only in HTML5 browsers). The script doesn’t throw random glyphs. For example in the word “HIPPOPOTAMUS” you will automatically get three different “P” glyphs and two “O” glyphs. Sticky Annie is the latest in the series of fonts I've designed that are named after my wife. Little bundles of overlapping sticks or lines make up each character. It's made to look good at small font sizes, but the bigger, the better. At small sizes it's fun and a little childish. At bigger sizes, especially in all-caps, it looks intricate, distinctive and stately.

Anna Clara can be dressed up or down, as fancy as you wanna be. On its own, it’s an organic script, with the fine hairlines, thick swells, and slightly undulating baseline found in modern casual calligraphy. Add swashes, and Anna Clara becomes a bit more playful and festive. Each capital letter has a flourished alternate—great for displays or headings, or to add emphasis to a particular section of text. For OpenType-aware software users, Anna Clara also features ten pairs of swashes that can be added to the beginning or end of any lowercase letter, for a custom flourished look. Illustrator and InDesign users can access extra swashes and banners by using the glyph panel. Photoshop users: These characters can be accessed via the “Ornaments” feature in your OpenType panel - try non-numeric punctuation marks and accents for swashes. For banners, type catchwords followed by an asterisk. “Asterisk asterisk” will produce a blank banner that you can use to create your own. Included catchwords are “and”, “at”, “by”, “for”, “from”, “of”, “the”, “to”, “with”, "l'", “le”, “la”, “el”, “et”, and “y”. Roman numerals can be used in the “Ornaments” feature by typing their respective keyboard characters “I”, “II”, “III”, etc. - followed by an asterisk. An ampersand (&) followed by one or two asterisks produces two special “and” characters.

Ano Angular was originally designed for a fashion company. It was to be used as a headline type, half way between the logo we had designed — made up of straight lines only — and our circle-based Ano typeface, which was to be used for text. Its design is based on the idea of mixing circles with triangles into letter shapes in a modular, constructed way. The effect is digital, mathematical, remeniscent of the typography of 1980s arcade games such as Asteroids.
