Heimat Didone is the high contrast serif typeface family within the Heimat Collection, also containing Heimat Display, Heimat Sans, Heimat Mono and Heimat Stencil. Heimat Didone is a neo-classical typeface family designed for contemporary typography, especially for use in headlines and on posters, but also for reading purposes. It combines an idiosyncratic appearance with the feeling of a grid-based letter construction of the late 20s. Since the design might be too extreme for some applications, Heimat Didone’s character set provides two alphabets, the regular one plus an alternate design that comes across as less suspenseful. Heimat Didone [872 glyphs] comes in 72 styles and contains 6 optical weights, extra sets of alternate glyphs, many ligatures, lining figures [proportionally spaced and monospaced], hanging figures [proportionally spaced and monospaced], positive and negative circled figures for upper and lower case, superior and inferior, fractions, extensive language support and many more OpenType features.

The Dutch word “leuk" translates loosely to English as pleasant, jolly, funny, witty, clever, nice, sweet, kind, nice, amusing, entertaining, and funny. Leuk, the font, is a small, highly legible font with a witty, sociable personality that engages it’s readers. My challenge in designing Leuk was to find a unique feature to set apart the font without losing the fundamentals of type design. In the process of doing so, I created a virtual font “smile and wink” in the “o” upper and lowercase with integrated stencil-connecting strokes within the “a,e, k, z, o, ß” to reveal Leuk’s calligraphic roots. Legible and friendly, Leuk is designed for use in advertising, brochures, promotion, book cover design, packaging, and the like. The Leuk family consists of Leuk Light, Leuk Light Italic, Leuk Regular, Leuk Italic, Leuk Bold, Leuk Bold Italic, Leuk Black, Leuk Black Italic in Opentype format.

HS Alhuda is a display typeface. It can be used for titles and graphic projects, which support Arabic, Persian Urdu and Kurdish. It has been created based on modern kufi style. It enjoys flexibility between sharp and curved lines in the structure of characters. This supports with a beautiful appearance and wonderful geometric structure. The sharp endings in the bottom of character also give an aesthetic addition to the character. (8) Weights has been created for this typeface between the heariline weight and heavy weight. I had a Neneh Cherry song in my head when I made this font. In ‘Buffalo Stance’ she sings about a gigolo with his hands in his pockets and his crocodile feet. I liked the sound of it, so Crocodile Feet font was born. Crocodile Feet is a children’s book font: bold and cute, with easy to read glyphs. This family was inspired by an engraved plate from Diderot & Dalembert's Encyclopedia (publication beginning in 1751), illustrating the chapter devoted to letter engraving techniques. The plate bears two engravers names : "Aubin" (may be one of the four St Aubin brothers ?)and "Benard" ( which name is present below all plates of the Encyclopedia printed in Geneva ). It seems to be a transitional type, but different from Fournier or Grandjean. Small caps are included in fonts for TTF and OTF version, separate files are included in the family sets of the Mac TT version.

San Marco is a part of the 1990 program Type before Gutenberg, which included the work of twelve contemporary font designers and represented styles from across the ages. Linotype offers a package including all these fonts on its web page, www.fonts.de. San Marco was designed by Karlgeorg Hoefer and brings to mind the style of the Italian Gothic found on the cathedrals of Milan and Florence as well as on the facade of St. Mark’s Cathedral in Venice. PT Reforma Grotesk was designed for ParaType in 1999 by Albert Kapitonov based on the letterforms of Russian pre-revolutionary hand composition typefaces: Uzky Tonky Grotesk («Condensed Thin Sans»), Poluzhirny Knizhny Grotesk («Semibold Book Sans») and Reforma, of H. Berthold and O. Lehmann foundries (St.- Petersburg). This extra compressed sans serif with distinctive letter shapes is typical for display fonts of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Designed by Jure Stojan, JY Shapa—his first serif family for JY&A Fonts—has a wide-pen, calligraphic feel, with the upper half of the letters reasonably conservative to aid recognition, but the lower half more decorative and dynamic to achieve a specific rhythm. The italics are more dynamic, with the upper halves more flowing, with Stojan taking greater liberties with the design. Ligatures such as ct and st are included, as well as small caps for all weights. The JY Shapa fonts come with over 5,000 kerning pairs each.

Sava is a calligraphic capitals and small capitals design by Jovica Veljović. Available in six weights--light, regular, medium, semibold, bold and black--it includes support for most western and central European languages, as well as for Greek and many Cyrillic languages. Typographic features include a series of non-standard ligatures and a large collection of specialized Byzantine ornaments. Influenced by the forms of medieval calligraphy, Sava is named after St. Sava, the first Archbishop of Serbia, who was famous as a peacemaker, and for his educational and charitable works.

Academy was designed circa 1910 at the Berthold type foundry (St.-Petersburg). It was based on Sorbonne (H. Berthold, Berlin, 1905), which represented the American Type Founders rework Cheltenham of 1896 (designers Bertram G. Goodhue, Morris F. Benton) and Russian typefaces of the mid-18th century. A low-contrast text typeface with historical flavor. The modern digital version was designed at Poligrafmash type design bureau in 1989 by Lyubov Kuznetsova. Corrections and additions were done later in ParaType in early 2000th. Reworked version with Bold Italic style was released in 2009.

The Atrament font family was originally conceived in 2003 as the corporate display type family for Suitcase Type Foundry. Its original source of inspiration is the front cover of the Devetsil - Revolucni slovn’k almanac (1922), designed by Karel Teige. The lettering on this cover is a condensed sans serif with rounded stroke terminals. Atrament is significantly broader than the model and its characters are better balanced, reflecting the evolution of semi-condensed sans serifs throughout the 1960s. The horizontal strokes of both lower and upper case are less stressed than the vertical stems. Noteworthy are the unusual tiny gaps in the apex and vertex of letters with diagonal strokes, designed to prevent ink from spreading and smudging the letter shapes. This detail is one of the main features of the font's character. The general feel of the italics closely matches the strictly vertical, parallel character of the regular cut. When converting the family to OpenType the alternate character shapes from the Alternator weights were incorporated in the regular cut, which allows the user to switch selected characters from one shape to another within the same font. A number of glyphs and accents were corrected, and all the glyphs missing in the Suitcase Standard character set were added, along with the relevant kerning pairs. The individual weights of Atrament Std thus contain accented upper and lower case, small caps, alternate glyphs for most European languages, nine types of numerals, superscript characters, caps glyph versions, and much more. Its narrow proportions make Atrament the perfect choice whenever economy of space is a must. It is however not very well suited for setting long texts. Ideal for headlines and display use, it is perfect for situations where the text needs to make a great impact in a little space.

This growing family of friendly faces is based on the typeface Bravour, designed in 1913 by Martin Jacoby-Boy for the D. Stempel AG foundry in Frankfurt am Main. The wide stance and very large x-height shared by the family members makes them warm and inviting, and equally suitable for use in headlines or text blocks. All versions of this font include the Unicode 1250 Central European character set in addition to the standard Unicode 1252 Latin set.

Isbellium is a sans serif version of Dick Isbell’s Americana type, designed in 1967 and the last type cut in metal by the American Type Founders Co. (ATF). Isbellium retains the large x-height, open character, wide stance and elegance of Americana, but with a quieter voice and polite authority. Designed by Jochen Hasinger of Frankfurt, Germany, Covent BT is an unconventional geometric sans serif typeface, featuring rounded terminal ends and a stencil-like break of the contour in some glyphs. At first glance you might think of it as a display typeface, but the generous x-height and openness of the lowercase makes Covent BT very legible at text sizes. Central Europe and Cyrillic is supported in the extended glyph set. The typeface LECO 1988 is another font family which belongs to LECO set. It is a display typeface, which is inspired by the title written on the bottle of lečo from 1988. Its typical features are embedded diacritics and significant black look with low contrast. Lower case is united with upper case and has several identical glyphs in both forms. Tabular numerals, superiors and inferiors and the full set of (glyphs - symbols) for languages using the Latin alphabet are also included in this font. ITC Japanese Garden Ornaments is a symbol font designed by Akira Kobayashi (before Kobayashi became Linotype's Type Director in 2001, he worked as an independent typeface designer in Tokyo). The images in Japanese Garden are, as the name suggests, mostly floral or herbaceous, derived from designs used in Japanese indigo stencil dyeing. In Japanese Garden," Kobayashi says, "I tried to create a set of type fleurons that are very familiar to a Japanese eye, but not too exotic to people in other countries." Several of the designs fit together seamlessly in repeating patterns; others work either together or as isolated ornaments, a flexibility that also characterizes traditional Western type fleurons. "The original illustrations," notes Kobayashi, "were mostly cut from white paper squares, about two by two inches in size, and were simply scanned and traced. That is why there are few smooth curves and perfectly straight lines in the illustrations. I simply liked the ragged textures of them.""

I was asked by a good friend of mine to design his tattoo lettering. This fellow prefered an easy stencil with no ornament, such as swirls or loops. After some preliminary design I finally accepted the challenge and while completing the whole alphabet, the idea of creating a cool font of it occured to me. Only a few months later this new font family already contained 4 weights, every weight has a companion Italic style, punctuation, numerals and mathematical operators, as well as all accented characters. Gridiot is a constructed, semi-serif, two-weight stencil family that expands an approach taken by Josef Albers. Intended for display or headline setting, it features chamfered or bevel-cut corners, used instead of curves. The individual letter components sometimes vary in depth, avoiding a strictly modular approach, while the widths are kept consistent. The lining figures provide a standard set of numbers, and the oldstyle figures align with the lowercase, encouraging lowercase-only setting. Currency and other useful numerical symbols are provided in both versions. The zero is intentionally lighter, following early Renaissance types; there are filled versions as stylistic alternates. While horizontal scaling distorts the relationship between verticals and horizontals in a typeface, since every chamfer in Gridiot is at 45°, changing the horizontal scaling of the type will affect all diagonals equally.
