Gothiks Round is the rounded version of Gothiks. It is a narrow 6-weight display sans-serif influenced by Texturas. The rhythm and verticality of Texturas can be easily identified on the letters with diagonal strokes like A N M K k V v W w X x Y y Z z: here they are all vertical. This kind of morphology was chosen because it accepts condensation in a very natural way, giving to this sans-serif a very unique personality. The intermediate weights can be used for short texts while extreme weights are excellent for big sizes. It has an extensive character set—with extensive language support—and many OpenType features like fractions, small capitals and different figure sets. Default figures align with lowercase. The typeface’s name refers to the plural of the word Gothic, which in turn can refer to both sans-serifs or Blackletter, depending on geographic location.

Patent Reclame manages to be light-hearted, while clearly showing its blackletter roots both in the shape of the individual letters and the rhythm of text on a page. The designer is unknown. Schriftgeisserei Flinsch of Frankfurt a.M. cast the face around 1895. Nicolete Gray shows a quite similar face called “Graphic,” from Stephenson Blake in 1896. Personally, I don't think that Patent Reclame looks like an English design, but I do not have any proof one way or the other. The numbers are proportional, intended for posters, not spreadsheets. Two ornaments are included, an art nouveau rose at #172 and a lilypad with long tendril at #177. Great for invitations, posters and flyers announcing fun events. Do not use for obituaries. Quite readable in smaller sizes for short blocks of text. I really like the buoyant quality -- a nice combination of discipline and enthusiasm.

The name “Bicyclette” was chosen because this typeface is all about balance and elegance. The idea was to create a highly contrasted sans-serif family carefully balanced between gentle curves and sharp angles, with large capitals opposing uncommonly short lower case, through six distinctive weights. The letters are wide, and the capitals pop up in headlines while the lower case leaves a lot of white space between the text lines because of its small x-height. The edges are rounded (but not so much for the family to be called rounded), just enough to make the text feel slightly softer, gentler, while retaining some of that technical sans sharpness. The Bicyclette character set supports Western and Central European languages, and includes an extended set of monetary symbols. Each weight includes small caps, ligatures, proportional lining and oldstyle numbers, tabular figures, fractions and scientific superior/inferior figures.

Torbjörn Olsson's Interrupt is a salty dog of a sanserif, harboring memories of freighters unloading their cargo in a run-down port. Interrupt works great for signs, and looks just fine painted on the side of a wooden crate or stencilled on an old tarpaulin. Interrupt is recommended for use over 36 points. You have run out of packing crates and would like to use it on paper? Sure, Interrupt can add its sturdy sailor's gait to any medium... just don't set any novel in Interrupt. Not even Melville. Interrupt is an OpenType typeface for both PC and Mac.

Maculature features grunge, uneven look inspired by letters from old posters and advertisements. Capital glyphs are, although damaged, satisfactorily legible, whereas instead of lowercase letters, capital glyphs are placed, also featuring nearly abstract, hard to read dirty looks damaged spots and stains. The overall visual experience is rough. Capitals are legible and of small size, whereas the second group can be used only in bigger size, whereby rendering an interesting text texture in the course of alternate use. The font contains all the Latin accented characters used in European languages​​, Cyrillic and various ancillary graphemes, ornaments and rough lines.

Vaquero is a Wild West style font. It is characteristic of a lot of western era signage, with super-narrow characters and unusual decorative spurs and serifs. There are some similarities in Vaquero to some of our other western fonts. It sort of ties together the historic tradition of western era type and the more fanciful tradition of romantic type derived from the era of the wild west. It has the width, height and general letter shapes of Academy, but the decorative elements are similar to more fanciful fonts like Riudoso. The result is very evocative of the old west.

Pipeline is a futuristic and technical looking typeface. But as the name suggest it’s also earthly, (literally). Deep down underneath villages, city’s everywhere and even oceans there’s a network of pipelines. Providing us all sorts of supplies, like water and oil. Sewers wash fluid waste away. They are never to be looked upon as pretty or beautiful but purely functional. The soil peeled off and looked upon from above, a greater industrial infrastructure is revealed, cluttered like spaghetti, complex as the maze of corridors of termite colonies. I present two pipelines to you; one naked and one dressed. This typeface is very suitable for graphic, logo and poster design. It is quadratic shaped with round curves. It is modern and classic at the same time. It could be appealing for young, technical, digital, inventive and urban (sub) culture (at any age).

Superba Pro is a condensed Egyptian font family with short ascenders and descenders. The dots on the lowercase ‘i’ and the German umlaut-vowels are square. Haas Type Foundry created the original Superba in 1928-1930. Steve Jackaman (ITF) designed and produced a digital version of the bold weight in 1992. In 2017, Jackaman completely redrew the bold weight, added an accompanying wide weight, and expanded the glyph set to support Central and Eastern European languages. Conceived as an exploration of geometrical type designs of the early twentieth century, Canaro was — in its first design stages — heavily rooted in that time period. Balneario Script is a small tribute to a coastal port and tourist city. Through the Sign Painters, in its golden age, a clear, friendly, practical, and functional way of making itself heard evolved. Far from wanting to be perfect, a typeface seeks to be close, warm, and casual. Inspired by the gestures of the brush, Balneario Script reverts to the use of “Casual Letters” so used by Sign Painters. In this adaptation, we sought to adjust its morphology to optimize its performance in small formats and extend the system to include lower case letters as part of the set. To Rafaella, a menina dos cachos. We, designers, have grown accustomed to seeing that lowercase letters—not only in calligraphy but also in typography (1)—may be very playful and decorative. Almost every part of them can become a potential swash, ligature or decorative accolade (2) if the designer has some expertise regarding this matter. However, since we are living in an era that elevates the status of handcrafts, lettering has gained a lot of ground in different kinds of mediums, and with it there’s a sort of overuse of capitals. This may be due to the reason that lettering pieces need a high impact to convey their messages and many times why big capitals are the only solution. With this in mind, I started Rafaella: A font consisting entirely of capitals which go from unadorned to very decorative. Rafaella has ductus and forms vaguely based on the 1970s Bookman-like styled fonts. The presence and behaviour of serifs and ball terminals in this style were the perfect excuse to make really attractive aternates which the user can choose from the glyphs panel. The result is a font full of life. Able to be both very playful and formal due to its roman style which can be combined with (and between) a wide range of other styles of expressive scripts or geometric fonts with nice results (3). Sobek, the Egyptian crocodile god, comes to life in this font as a striking and impressive set of characters. Somewhat alien and dangerous, Sobek uses sharp corners, excessive lines and geometrically circular curves to create a font that looks both organic and crafted at the same time. In 2014 I made a font called Whatnot. I think I made with with a roller ball pen, but I am not sure, as it was a long timer ago. I have always liked Whatnot font and I think it deserves a second lease on life, so I made a new (and improved) version of it, called Whatnot 22. Not Catch 22... It now comes with better kerning, multilingual support (including Vietnamese, Sami and Greek) and a cool set of contextual alternates that cycles as you type.

Released by Intertype in the 1930’s, Vogue, was a geometric sans serif rival to Futura and Kabel. Vogue had many unique quirks like its distinct G, that striking Q with a vertical tail, and many others. Smack, from American designer Jill Bell, is oriented toward a young generation who does not want to mind the rules. The font invites unconventional and playful use.
