Cuckoo Fast was first seen in 1988 (with Cuckoo and Cuckoo Fat) when I painted on a record shop's window. Since then this hand lettered font has been there and done that. Cuckoo Fast was hand drawn on an angle, not software slanted. It has a character all its own, giving a sense of speed, urgency, or bargains whenever it is applied.

The Metalista font was created as a sign of undying admiration for the persistence of heavy metal culture. The angled font of almost fixed width proportions combines capitals with small letters for more variety and better definition of individual letters. Stressing the horizontal strokes subdued the historical Gothic character and emphasized a more modern signature, which is far different from the majority of current attempts at a modern adaptation of Fraktur fonts. My 7 year old son is reading a book called ‘Spees De Ruimtewees’ (Spees, the Galactic Orphan), so when I needed a name for this font family, I didn’t have to think a lot! Disclosure is suggestive of low-grade digital output, screen displays, fax machines, or high-speed data transfer. It is missing vertical sections, perhaps due to a faulty print head or signal degradation. It is intentionally monospaced — each letter has the same width, like a typewriter — and unkerned. Suitable for uses where an unfussy urgency and drama is required. Developed from the 112 Hours numbers-only font, Throughput.

Power, speed and modern creature comforts characterized rail travel in the 1930s. To reflect those characteristics, legendary French poster artist A. M. Cassandre employed strong graphic elements and a chiaroscuro letter treatment to the 1939 poster lettering that inspired this font. Both versions of this font contain the Unicode 1252 Latin and Unicode 1250 Central European character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

The Arial® Nova family takes Arial back to its roots. Character spacing has been adjusted and a number of subtle modifications were made to the design to return the shapes and proportions to those of the original 1982 design created for IBM's then new high-speed laser printers. Although these first Arial fonts, called "Sonora Sans" by IBM, were low-resolution bitmaps, it was apparent that the design could also be an important high-resolution digital typeface, and Arial was redrawn for Monotype's imagesetters in the late 1980s. In the process Arial evolved from its original design loosing some of its earlier personality. The restored Arial Nova family is made up of three weights of roman design of standard proportions and three weights of condensed - all with complementary italic designs. The Arial Nova family is also compatible with the fonts that Microsoft® provides in the Windows® 10 operating system.

Orchidea Pro is a typeface balancing on the verge of sans and serif. Called a stressed sans or a serifless serif, it does not feature any serifs, but resembles a serif typeface by build, and features unilateral nibs that speed up the reading and create a particular distinction in the form. Runway is the font that will satisfy the need for speed in your design. Runway was designed to be tight like an engine chain, powerful like the hum of the engine itself, and simply the best choice when it comes to strength and velocity in design. Initially Runway was meant to be a single font. But during the spacing and kerning stages, Patrick noticed that most of the letters, especially the vowels and the s, can clasp stylishly with the L or the T to make some really funky combinations. That's how the Alternates font was born. After building a few alternates and about 40 "clasped" combinations around the L and the T, the decision was made to take Runway to the next level: OpenType. The OpenType version of Runway is a single font that contains some serious font magic. Some of the many features the font includes: Over 430 characters for that great character map utility you have, automatic to-and-fro small-capping, discretionary ligatures that call up some pretty funky combinations automatically as you type, and a lot of stylistic and contextual alternates for many characters, ligatures and composites. If your design program of choice supports the features of OpenType fonts (Illustrator CS, Photoshop CS, InDesign CS), then you're in for a lot of enjoyment playing with Runway. For those who don't fancy OpenType or can't handle it, Runway is also available (in Regular, Caps and Alt styles) in the usual font formats for both Mac and PC.

Essay was born from an afternoon in Berlin in September 2013, looking at old book covers. Inspired by Herb Lubalin, Athletics & Rock music. Its details relate with speed & punk styles but keeping the main structure intact. The 1951 sheet music of "I Like the Wide Open Spaces" has the cover title set in a casual type design that emulates the "one stroke" or "speed letter" style so popular with sign painters in that decade. Taking the lettering on the sheet music and expanding the character set with a new interpretation, the result is Sign Work JNL which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Very thin fluid strokes and high speed letters form this casual script entitled TCF Plana. TCF Plana is elegant and functional, expressive yet harmonious, with more bounce and irregularity of rhythm than usual formal script typefaces. TCF Plana was executed with a ball-point pen and then digitised so it would convincingly mimic handwriting by using a plethora of contextual alternates which makes the words look much more natural and beautiful.

This font is fast. Carving apexes, drafting competitors, and breaking away for the finish line. This is a sleek and extended font family designed for top speed while squeezing into tight places. Zoom is intended for display and would be right at home, nested gently on a carbon fiber bike frame, forged as the nameplate on the back of a vehicle, or printed stoutly on any number of sporting products.

Containing over 100 ligatures, Epistula is a loosely written font, resembling my own natural way of writing. It has a nice flow and the pointy tail-ends give it a certain speed. Creating Epistula has been a long process, but returning to the drawing board a few times has – in my humble opinion – paid off. This font comes in two weights: regular and medium. Because sometimes one flavour just isn’t enough…

Linotype Atomatic is part of the Take Type Library, selected from the contestants of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. German artist Johannes Plass designed his font in one strongly-crafted weight. Linotype Atomatic seems to mirror the fast pace and technology of modern times. The slight lean to the right gives an impression of speed and movement. Linotype Atomatic is intended exclusively for headlines in larger point sizes.

P22 Music Pro is a unique font system that allows the user to compose music with text editing and page layout programs capable of OpenType features and contextual substitutions. The OpenType features speed up the composing process by adding chords, contextual accidentals (sharps and flats), contextual key signatures and time signatures. P22 Music Pro covers a wide range of symbols and notation used in traditional western music composition. P22 Music Pro requires an application that uses OpenType features and is capable of contextual substitutions, such as Adobe InDesign or Illustrator.
