BlancoNeg was inspired by the lettering of Saul Bass with some thoughts of Op-Art. Each character relies on the positive and negative spaces of its neighboring letters to help define its own shape. This font is casual with the look of cut out paper forms.

Riposte is a powerful and carefully-integrated handwriting font. You should use it where you want to create a strong impact but want to avoid heavy, boxy, formal fonts. The characters were designed for excellent letter-spacing without kerning, but you can switch kerning on to add some subtle enhancements to the letter-spacing. Riposte is readable, even at quite small sizes. It was designed to be used as a mix of upper and lower-case letters. Do not make text using only uppercase letters since the spacing of the uppercase letters was optimized for use together with lowercase letters. Type Tiles JNL is based on a ‘completed’ version of ‘Alpha-Blox’ by American Type Founders, circa 1944. The capitals, lower case and numerals shown in the sample sheet put out by ATF depicted type made with five-high blocks comprised of modular units spaced two points apart. These units could be combined in varying ways to create custom type of varying heights and widths and was available for purchase in both linear (multi-line) and reverse (white on black) formats. Using the 'reverse' model shown on the sample sheet, all of the characters were re-created digitally, and missing punctuation, foreign characters and other glyphs found in a basic computer font were drawn and added. The 'J' and 'T' in the type sample had truncations, so a more complete character was created for each of those letters. For those wanting an unbroken string of words or blank end caps, there is a double column space on the vertical bar key. A single column space is located on the broken bar key for shorter end caps. Type Tiles JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions

The kerning tables, as well, have been individualized for each of these type varieties. In addition to the adjustment of spacing, there are also adjustments in the design. For the Bodytypes, fine spaces were created which prevented the smear effect on acute angles in small typesizes. For a number of Bodytypes, hairlines and serifs were thickened or the whole typeface was adjusted to meet the optical requirements for setting type in small sizes. For the German lower-case diacritical marks, all Headline Types complements contain alternative integrated accents which allow the compact setting of lower-case headlines. Please note that Interleave SB and Interleave OCR SB are versions which are for decorative purposes only.

Bastia is a classy, bold upper and lowercase typeface that looks incredible in both large and small settings. Lunanic is a geometric novelty typeface family with a touch of graffiti. The letters are formed from a circle with a notch or nick taken out, a shape that reminds me of a partial lunar eclipse. Half of the family have the nick on the left and half on the right. The faces are monospaced and so tightly spaced that there is no space between most of the letters so the filled styles cannot be used alone without tweaking. There are several ways to tweak them to make them readable: adjacent letters can be colored differently, the characters spacing can be increased, or an outlined style can be layered on top of the filled letters. The family does not have a true lower case. Most of the characters in the lower-case slots are alternates for those on the upper-case keys and they can be mixed in whatever way the user finds best. The family has twelve members: two orientations with three weights each and each of these six has an outline style to go with it. Lunanic is fun, bizarre, weird, and obviously a decorative display font.

Milton Glaser’s Kitchen Typeface from the mid 1970s exemplifies the bold 3-D art deco revival genre that was a trademark of the Glaser style. This typeface resulted from his involvement in the design of the The Big Kitchen in the World Trade Center’s concourse in New York City. The new P22 Glaser Kitchen takes on the technical challenge of overlapping 3-D shadows by offering two styles. P22 Glaser Kitchen Regular is spaced out so that the shadows do not overlap the white spaces of the neighboring letters. Whereas the P22 Glaser Kitchen 3D Fill and 3D Shadow can be used layered on top of one another to achieve the tight spacing intended by Glaser. P22 Glaser Kitchen was based on original drawings and phototype proofs from the Milton Glaser Studios archives. Typographic punctuation and sorts were imagined by James Grieshaber to work with Glaser’s design, as well as diacritics to accommodate most European languages. Over the years there have been many typefaces that borrowed heavily from the Glaser designs, but these are the only official fonts approved by Milton Glaser Studio and the Estate of Milton Glaser.

HU Flat White is a retro vibe headline typeface. It has a full module, but, the inner space created by large strokes' contrast gives a cool feeling. Overall, the extended typeface with a wide width is attractive, and the shape of every alphabets' tip create a retro feel.

Karin's free reinterpretation of the early Renaissance Lombardic tradition, in two different versions. In the upper case the fill is blacker and has a straight pattern with diamond elements; in the lower case the fill is thinner with more white space and has a wavy pattern with rounded elements.

Auto license plates in the United Kingdom are made with a typeface originally designed by (and named for) Charles Wright and must meet strict criteria as to type height, weight and spacing. A bold sans serif design; British Vehicle JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Tall and narrow in stature, elegant by design and Art Deco in style, Deco Elongated JNL is a wonderful type design for setting long lines of copy in less space. The retro elements of this font conjure up images of fine fashions, fancy nightclubs and big band music…

ITC Leawood was begun by designer Les Usherwood and finished by his talented staff at Typsettra in Toronto, Canada, after his untimely death. A similar calligraphic series to ITC Usherwood, following alternative options, the typeface features small, well-defined serifs which aid legibility and allow for close spacing.

Odessa was designed by Peter O'Donnell, an impressive, refined sans serif typeface based on the compass and ruler design of Futura. Here's a faithful rendering of an old face from the James Conner's Sons specimen catalog of 1888, alternately known as Aetna or Painter's Gothic. Its compact descenders allow for tightly-spaced headlines. Both versions of the font contain the complete Unicode Latin 1252 and Central European 1250 character sets.

Pleasure is the work of German designer Holger Seeling, a condensed open sans serif typeface featuring a shadow behind each character. Its geometric forms are flexible and best used closely spaced. Pleasure reflects no particular time or setting and is therefore ideal for a wide variety of headline applications.

A semi text type with thin stresses, in Granite Semi Stencil the overall weight of the Granite Regular has been decreased by a set unit which has obliterated the stress to leave white space. This gives the typeface an idiosyncratic almost arbitrary take on the utility Stencil aesthetic.

TagBoyHardcore is based on my own tagging style when I did graffiti in the mid-eighties. The font is roughly scanned and spaced narrowly in order to keep the original bad boy style. Pump up your text by starting and ending sentences with parentheses, brackets or the curly brackets.
