Core Paint is a texture type family inspired by the action painting created by Jackson Pollock. There are two sub-families named A and B. Core Paint A is a texture font family that has to be used together with others. Core Paint B is a textured font family that can be used solely or together with A family. By layering these different texture styles, you can create various combinations of textures. According to color variations, also you can create more complex textured typefaces and unique artworks. Core Paint Family supports complete Basic Latin, Cyrillic, Central European, Turkish, and Baltic character sets. During the spring of 2006, while creating this typeface, I was reading Praying For Gil Hodges, by Tom Oliphant, who grew up a Brooklyn Dodgers fan. I grew up a Los Angeles Dodgers fan. My mother worked as secretary to the president of the old Triple A LA Angels Baseball Team. In 1952 when she was pregnant with me, she left the team. They gave her an autographed baseball and a puppy named Angel. That's the dog I grew up with. Toward the end of the book the author talks about Gil Hodges' favorite ballplayer, a slugger for the LA Angels, Jigger Statz. I thought, could it be? My mother died two years ago and I got the team baseball. Sure enough, the first name after the dedication to my mother was Jigger Statz.

Scriptissimo is, as the name says, very much of a script! It is in the best American tradition. A script that could have served for writing the Constitution with, if only they would have had computers at that time. Scriptissimo consists of three different scripts that are meant to be used together. One is the script with the more or less plain characters. Two is the version for characters to start a word with. Three is the cut that has the characters for the end of a word. Ligatures is used for, well, ligatures and some glyphs like Ltd., GmbH, and so on. Scriptissimo is a very elegant and versatile script. Millie is a stressed, geometric script who spends her days as industrial lettering and her nights paired with blackletter on the patches of motorcycle gangs. Millie was weighted by the conventions of broad nib calligraphy, inspired by the Milwaukee Tools logo, and finds herself best used in logos and titles. She was designed to be used on about a 20 degree angle, though she looks just fine on a level plane. By using opentype, many ligatures, and two sets of stylistic alternates, Millie was developed to look great with any string of letters. Access the first stylistic set for a disconnected script look, and the second set for even more connections and fluid script than standard. Lagos was created because of the lack of African-inspired fonts that are truly modern without being partly art-deco in origin. I wanted to make a vigorous, sharp-edged font that reflects the energy and dynamism of modern Africa. The lines of the font combine the sharp angularity of African rocks and mountains with the smooth fluidity of Africa's snake-black rivers. The font is supplied in two styles, Lagos Regular and Lagos Light. Lagos Light is not a simple, mechanical modification of Lagos Regular. The outlines and proportions have been subtly modified to accommodate the lighter weight. Lagos contains a full 256 character set (upper and lower case, punctuation, diacritical characters, special symbols and numerals), in which all characters have been fully kerned and letter-spaced.

MFC Nadall Medieval was originally designed by Bernard William "Berne" Nadall for Barnhardt Brothers & Spindler back in 1885 under the name "Faust Text" and later under the "Missal Text Series". Estragon is a vivid sans-serif text face with venetian influences, suitable especially for books. It is remarkable for: its light slant, to the right, for most of the verticals, its small sized uppercase letters making it suitable for languages where they are often used (for example German,) and its just lightly inclined true italics. For a wide language support, Estragon contains a lot of accented characters including the polish kreska. Structurally inspired by Modern font, Abula is distinctive for its two options: Original Slab Serif and Organic Slab Serif. The Latter is special for it illustrates the designer’s attempt to genetically modify the font. Inspired on posters by the extraordinary polish artist Leszek Żebrowski, Polygraph is a highly unusual face. Packed with eccentric alternates, it is an all-caps font with four exchangeable variations for each letter. These alternates are programmed to cycle when the font is used in OpenType-savvy programs, creating a random effect on glyphs distribution. The resulting pieces are truly outstanding, with an audacious handmade twist. To achieve this, just turn on the contextual alternates feature and play – you can easily try different glyphs sequences by adding spaces before words. When you need a more well-behaved look, but still with a subtle hand-drawn flair, turn off the contextual alternates and set text in uppercase. Polygraph comes in two weights, for added flexibility. But be warned: it’s quite addictive!

The name African Gold is associated with Johannesburg, the "City of Gold"; (the Zulu name for Johannesburg is eGoli). The font was so named for two reasons: the intricate African patterns within the characters of the font suggest the shafts and tunnels of a gold mine, and, as with a gold mine, the richness lies within. African Gold is a display font that is best used at larger sizes, however, it contains a full character set with all accents, special characters, diacritical marks and all the characters are carefully spaced and kerned. The numerals are mono-spaced so that they will line up correctly in columns of figures. The letters of the alphabet are spaced according to their width and are carefully kerned to create an attractive appearance.

Poster artist A.M. Cassandre designed one of the most evocative typefaces of the Art Deco era, Bifur. This type was unusual in many ways, but one of the most distinct features was that besides a regular one-color font, it was also available as a two-part font for a chromatic treatment which was highly unusual for metal typefaces. This "bifurcated" type is almost impossible to find in print shops or even in specimen form. It has however become recognizable as a true icon of the Art Deco genre. The IHOF version of P22 Bifur features the addition of a lower case alphabet as well as multiple options for the shading layer, allowing for a wide range of design applications from straight-forward Deco headlines, to abstracted and de-constructed experimental design.

Goodwater is an original collection of a Brush, three weights of a monoline Script and four weights of condensed Sans typeface. Ok. Another font with cats in it. I asked my son, Sam (age 4), to draw some cats and I have to say: I'm very proud of what he created. The tiger I asked him for became a spinosaurus mom with her baby and I also got some happy hearts thrown in for good measure. The Cat's Whiskers is a very legible hand made font. Nice and loose, not too messy and with just a hint of childishness. Comes with a litter of diacritics. Oh… and a big thank you to Jakob from pizzadude.dk for suggesting I should post more pics of cats on FB - which eventually led to the name of this font.

The English typographer Robert Harling created Tea Chest in 1939 with the Stephenson Blake foundry. Today, this classic design is available in digital format from Linotype GmbH. Tea Chest is a bold stencil face. The font's narrow letters are all caps, and they sport small, slab serifs. Harling's design was most likely reminiscent of the old industrial lettering painted onto boxes and wooden crates that used to be shipped all over the world on the high seas. These letters had to be simple to reproduce, easy to read, and not take up too much space! Try out Tea Chest for large signage displays, on exotic product packaging, or in magazine or newsletter headlines.

Reverie is a cheerful band of letters that bounce across the page and get together to create words in four weights. Generous spacing and a modest x-height project an airy typeface that's open but not frail. Quirky without being too whimsical. Robert Moore is a font that was specially designed for comics. A lot of work has been done. At first, glyphs were drawn manually using different markers, then they were transferred to the font. The font was tested on real printing and digital comics. The world of fonts for comics is big and I wanted to create even more variability for authors with one family, which is why a variable version was created containing two axes: weight and italics. This gives you more options. A large number of glyphs, multilingualism, ligatures, and a capital give even more scope for work and creativity. The name was created from the names of the authors of the comics Robert Kirkman and Alana Moore, so the Robert Moore font turned out. Although the font was made for comics, it is not limited to them. Posters, logos, covers, text, headings, prints, product design, web, interfaces are not all options for using the font.

The source of inspiration for MFC Decatur Monogram is a beautifully styled blackletter from JM. Bergling’s 1914 book on Monograms and Engraving Alphabets. This elegant decorative style was shown only displayed as Capital letters, so we took it further by crafting matching Smallcaps, Numerals, and lined Capitals, Smallcaps, and Numerals. Gandur is a display textura in three weights, split into two families: Alte — the German word for old — and New. Gandur was inspired by other geometric texturas, specially Max Bittrof’s Element (1933). The design began by adhering to a strict hexagonal grid, but during its development, slowly moved from a purely geometric to a more pen-based design (this is especially true in the heaviest weights). The differences between Alte and New are essentially morphological, with reflections in the character set and OpenType features. Gandur New has a more humanistic, contemporary structure and is more ‘romanized’ then Alte. Gandur New also features small capitals. Gandur Alte, on the other hand, remains truer to historical forms, most notably: S s X x Z z. Gandur Alte also features the long-s, which can be accessed via a Stylistic Set or the glyph palette. (As is historically accurate, a short-s will be used at the end of words automatically when the historical Stylistic Set has been activated).
