When I am working on a new font, I usually play some music, or have a song in my head. When I was working on this font, an Audioslave song called Getaway Car was playing in my head. Again: naming a font is not that difficult! Getaway Car was made with a cheap brush and expensive Chinese ink. It is an all caps font, ideally suited for posters, book covers and designs that need a bold, rough & ready look.

Stonage is a minimalistic handwritten font inspired by tribal aesthetics and decorated with geometric patterns. The typeface includes Decorative and Symbol styles. Inspired by apes and barrels, King Pong is a display font that's heavy, blocky, yet cheerful. Letterforms are brought to life through removal from a single square. Ascenders and descenders bring contrast and interest to the letterforms through a curved form cut at a 45 degree angle. King Pong works great for themes related to video games, technology, and music while the letterforms perform well in low-contrast environments and in very large formats – such as posters.

Mechanized JNL is a solid interpretation of Jeff Levine's stencil font Trencher JNL. Both fonts were based on a photo of hand-cut stencils found on a 1940's trenching machine in the collection of the Marine Corps Mechanized Museum at Camp Pendleton, California. Thanks to restoration volunteer Brian Platzer for providing the images of those stencils.

Coop Blackletter's core concept was to create a more friendly blackletter typeface by pulling together two very different sources of inspiration. The design is a synthesis of the rounded, affable features and heavier weight of Cooper Black with the underlying composition and calligraphic contrast of a Fraktur. It's kinda chunky, soft around the edges, and not entirely unreadable.

Bouclé.2 – an upgraded edition of Bouclé fonts (2009), with careful refinements to glyph shapes and extension of glyph amounts, which enabled support of more Latin languages. FuturaClassic is a recut of Paul Renners original Futura. This version was what Mr. Renner wanted the Futura to look like. He had to change his very stringent design because the market wanted a more pleasing typeface. I think the original design is worth saving because it is much more typical and has a personal and distinguished touch.
