Chessnota is a font suitable for the design of chess schemes. It includes original graphic images of chess pieces as well as checkers. Smaller pieces are placed at the level of the text string in order to replace letters in chess notation. It can be used for printing of chess magazines, books, in any design of schemes on websites.

Prior to the advent of digital type, many architectural layouts, amateur print projects and a myriad of other lettering jobs were created by the use of routed plastic templates and ink pens. We want to create a different feel for the stencil font style. Chameleon consists of 16 fonts based on 3 completely different designs. Different but specially designed to complement each other. Kevlar was initially inspired by an obscure logo discovered in a 1960s radio-fan magazine. Of immediate interest was that the upper half of the typeface appeared to be a sans while the lower half appeared as a curious blend of a slab serif imbued with a script-like quality. First came Kevlar Bold in 2003, closely followed by its text weight companion Kevlar Regular. The original source of the inspiration as then revisited to develop the third in the set, Kevlar Slab, a truly individual mix of script-like fluency with the heavy weight base of a slab serif.

Maat is a modular geometric stencil display font that includes a number of modular pattern characters, and can be used to create designs that echo early Modernism by merely applying letters, patterns and color. Maat is a loose interpretation of a hand lettered alphabet by the late Dutch designer Jurrian Schrofer called Sans Serious which was included in Wim Crouwel's publication Letters of Maat. It is inflected with a bit of influence from British designer Ken Garland's similar lettering form the cover of his textbook, The Graphics Handbook. Maat derives its name from the title of Couwel's booklet.

dT Ampla shares many characteristics of the versatile sans typefaces of today: nice range of five weights with matching italics, 40+ supported languages, contemporary upper-to-lowercase proportions and impeccable performance in big and text sizes. However, all these features are designed with distinct shapes and details. Notice the angled terminals – the cut at the end of the strokes – or how the vertical strokes in the italics seem to 'bend' a little, for instance. The sum of these and many more design decisions result in a typeface capable of delivering a strong presence to sites, interfaces, apps, magazines and corporate graphic language.

French Art Deco lettering found within the pages of the 1934 publication L'Art du Tracé Rationnel de la Lettre (roughly translated to “The Rational Path Art of the Letter”) have provided a number of designs well-suited for digital revival. A hand lettered sans with varying character widths was the basis for Colmar JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. As the source of the lettering design was a French publication, the typeface is named for the city of Colmar, which (according to Wikipedia) is the third-largest commune of the Alsace region in north-eastern France.

Blom is a humanist sans with subtle squarish character in reverse contrast. The combination of heavy horizontals and modern geometry give the typeface a unique visual aesthetic whilst making small text perfectly readable. Blom bucks the trend of conventional letterforms in favour of a versatile typeface with bags of originality, that is both inventive in style yet completely functional in a wide range of intended uses. For decades, cereal companies have included premiums [promotional gifts] inside their packages, printed on the cartons or to send for with a special coupon and redemption instructions. During the 1940s, Pep cereal [a long-discontinued Kellogg's brand] offered a series of water-applied decals within its boxes. Most likely made by the Meyercord Company (one of America's largest transfer decal manufacturers at the time), one decal in particular had an alphabet in gold letters with black outlines. (One can only presume the marketing strategy was to have kids bug their parents to buy more Pep cereal if the child needed more than one letter of the alphabet for his or her initials!) Those decal letters have inspired a digital version as the outline character font Toy Decals JNL, which is available in regular oblique, solid and solid oblique styles.

Whether with pen on paper, or in digital, realistically connecting vertical handwriting is never an easy task to accomplish.
