One of the odder things I remember from high school (50+ years ago) is the tile floor of hexagons in the bathroom. There is something fascinating with the way hexagons fill the plane. BakerHalfDozen is made of white letters that fit on black, hexagonal tiles. BakerHalfWhite switches the letters to black on white tiles, and BakerHalfBare eliminates the tiles. There are no true lower-case letters, but some letters have alternate shapes. To make the tiles line up right, alternate lines must be indented half a space. Use the {} characters (brackets) to do this.

My family and I are off to England for a camping holiday this summer. I have booked some small, basic campsites which are close to nature. The kids love to camp, especially since we can have a campfire at night! I was thinking about this when I worked on Camping Holiday font. It is a cute sans serif ‘book cover’ font. Rotis is a comprehensive family group with Sans Serif, Semi Sans, Serif, and Semi Serif styles. The four families have similar weights, heights and proportions; though the Sans is primarily monotone, the Semi Sans has swelling strokes, the Semi Serif has just a few serifs, and the Serif has serifs and strokes with mostly vertical axes. Designed by Otl Aicher for Agfa in 1989, Rotis has become something of a European zeitgeist. This highly rationalized yet intriguing type is seen everywhere, from book text to billboards. The blending of sans with serif was almost revolutionary when Aicher first started working on the idea. Traditionalists felt that discarding serifs from some forms and giving unusual curves and edges to others might be something new, but not something better. But Rotis was based on those principles, and has proven itself not only highly legible, but also remarkably successful on a wide scale. Rotis is easily identifiable in all its styles by the cap C and lowercase c and e: note the hooked tops, serifless bottoms, and underslung body curves. Aicher was a long-time teacher of design with many years of practical experience as a graphic designer. He named Rotis after the small village in southern Germany where he lived. Rotis is suitable for just about any use: book text, documentation, business reports, business correspondence, magazines, newspapers, posters, advertisements, multimedia, and corporate design.

Buttered Toast is something a lot of people enjoy every day; when I was working on this font I was hoping to create something similar: an uncomplicated font enjoyed by many. The resulting typeface is exactly what is promised on the package: Buttered Toast is unobtrusive, yet quite refined. It may even be taken for granted, but I sure hope it will be used and enjoyed by many. Buttered Toast comes with a generous helping of diacritics.

I've added two versions: Regular and Drips. The Drips versions is (you may have guessed it already!) a bit more drippy than the regular version. Both versions uses contextual alternates, which in this case means that there is 3 different versions of all lowercase letters - and these automatically cycles as you type!

Latex was initially a single multi-script all-cap font commissioned in 2012 by a company we can't name, to market a billion-dollar superhero movie we also can't name. A year later the commission grew to include a shaded variant and a set of DIY-like fonts, with different layering possibilities for dimensional manipulation. Each of the five Latex fonts come with a character set of over 600 glyphs, supporting the vast majority of Latin languages, as well as Cyrillic and Greek alphabets. Lots of stylistic alternates are also included, including some for Cyrillic and Greek. Superheroes are cool, though their costumes need more pockets, for credibility's sake. Maybe some superheroines should find something more practical than stilettos. Or maybe not. But definitely more pockets.

Liberalism is a sans-serif, grotesque and hybrid typeface that I created during the lockdown. Born as a pure design exercise, it has turned into something more.

DT Squished Stuff is a font made for fun. This uneven simple blocky sans-serif font has wonky letters that adapt automatically and change shape to fit against their neighbours. Use with contextual ligatures turned on to allow Squished Stuff to operate correctly. If a particular letter decides to do something that you don’t want it to, turn ‘contextual ligatures’ off for that letter. But do remember to turn it back on afterwards. This font lives and breathes when ‘contextual ligatures’ are turned on. Also, there are easter eggs and quirky surprises hidden inside. Watch it squish and move to fit together. Charlie’s BarBQ JNL is Jeff Levine’s homage to some great Texas Bar-B-Q - cooked by a Cuban immigrant - served in South Florida... A true American success story, but with a sad ending. Charlie's closed because the landlord wanted the property. for his own use. Charlie now resides in Leon, Nicaragua and runs some successful business ventures there.
