The original source of design for Sign Sans JNL was an image online of an old New York drinking establishment called the Lenox Lounge. The metal channels encasing the neon had an unusual "feel" to some of the letters. While the original E,G and U of the sign looked "interesting", they didn't quite fit the font's layout. Those letters were scrapped for more traditional versions of them.

Porker was an experiment in making a barely readable but very simple and very bold typeface with no curves. It is caps only with some of the letters on the lower-case keys giving alternate versions. A style of die-cut cardboard letters and numbers used for signs, displays and show cards was the basis for Haute Couture JNL, an Art-Deco flavored typeface from Jeff Levine. A direct cousin to Signboard JNL, this font shares some similar characteristics in letterforms. Both styles of die-cut lettering were manufactured by a number of companies, and were most popular from the 1940s through the mid-1960s.

Santini began as an experiment in mixing historical art deco, art nouveau, arts and crafts, and to a lesser extent Bauhaus sources. Kinghorn 105 is an Egyptian style slab-serif. The strokes are all of a roughly equal weight for an even, geometric look. Although original Egyptian slabs date from the early 19th century, the even look gives the font a balanced, contemporary look. It's intended mainly as a display font, but it's even strokes mean it remains legible even at smaller sizes. It's also available with some character variations as Kinghorn 205.

Céline was inspired by a recent trip to a vineyard in the South of France. A vintage stencil numeral set was etched onto the wine fermentation tanks. Céline is a one weight stencil display typeface with plans to expand the family with multiple weights and non stencil versions. Within the pages of an early-1900s instructional book on show card lettering was found a marvelous example of an alphabet that typifies the Art Nouveau movement of the era and served as the inspiration for Nouveau Riche JNL. Angular, artistic and reminiscent (in some ways) of ancient Greek lettering, this design has many unusual letterforms. Check out the interpretive K and R for the best examples of this art style.

Rummaging through the toolbox recently, I was surprised by how many allen keys I had from years of assembling flat-pack furniture. After some experimenting with the keys to make up individual letters I was struck by their graphic quality. The typeface is defined by the slim, right-angled shape of the allen key; creating a geometrical, yet playful font. The typeface is suitable for logos and feature headings.

Aschere is not just yet another retro font. It was designed carefully to give harmony ambient when you use it in your project. You can play with plenty ligature option. Or use unique stylistic to make your project stand out. Nevertheless you can find some prebuilt ornament, it would help to create instant logo or quotes. This unique type treatment was born after working in a mixture between a pixel based font and a retro logo. With lot of details it looks great a bigger sizes, but you can also apply it to write long sentences or even as body text! This font was chose as the official online font of our favorite band Foo Fighters some time ago, when it was just a work in progress.

Radial is a multi-line retro sans-serif font that is reminiscent of fonts from the 70s / disco era. It is all caps, but the lower case glyphs have rounded edges for a subtle difference if you are looking for a softer look. Use open type for some discretionary ligatures of common letter pairs (when set in all caps). Great for use on posters and in headline copy.

Punk/horror typeface for harsh designs, or to add some uease to strict ones. Hangtime Rad and Extra were designed with surf posters in mind, a subject close to my heart as an avid sailboarder and surfer. Its slightly raked (3 degrees) yet vertical appearance makes for compact setting with extreme impact. Hangtime exhibits some quirky terminal features, its shortened upstrokes are balanced by the lengthened strokes of others providing unusually consistent spacing. Best applied to display situations but is readable at text sizes.
