French Bulldog was made to celebrate the unnoticed precious little moments. A hot coffee in the morning, the sea breeze on your face, the sweet smell of a flower, a nap with your dog, a meeting with friends, the tenderness of a maternal caress, traveling, walking, crying, sharing, feeling, being onesself. French Bulldog creates spontaneity from chaos with different shapes working randomly to form finesse or coarseness, just like a casual hand works a brush and tries to follow the rules with unpredictable results. It is versatile and fresh, friendly and relaxed. Flow in the moment.

Italiko is a calligraphic font. The letters have been hand-drawn individually to extract the common strokes. The strokes have then been re-composed to give the font a more unified appearance. It comes in Black, Bold, Regular, and Thin. The Thin version is different as the extreme contrast in the font makes the thinner lines disappear. It is likely best used as a display font. ITC Wisteria was designed by Michael Stacey, a Florida-based artist and graphic designer. An ardent collector and recycler of vintage graphic design and typography, Stacey is especially intrigued by the lettering styles of sign painters and show-card lettering artists from the days when most display typography was hand-rendered. ITC Wisteria is one such style, taken from the 1930s, which he has updated for digital imaging. His goal was to retain the loose, casual feel of handlettering, while imparting what he calls “the crisp finish of current precision typography.” Like the plant it was named after, ITC Wisteria is both rugged and beautiful. The design is a constructed brush script that successfully melds the strength and dynamism of strong character shapes with the grace of script letterforms. Eksperiment is danish for experiment. Without much guessing or knowledge to danish, you probably already knew that! I like those danish words containing a "k" - is it because my name is spelled with a "k"? I don't know - maybe it's because it kind of represents the danish language, which is full of words with "k"s. Anyway, the reason for the name is that I wanted a font looking like it had gone through tough times, a bad copy machine and perhaps even crumpled paper...but the experiment is that the font is 100% made using digital media. I used my MacBook and my iPad creating this font. I find it quite amusing, that something 100% digital looks like something organic. I've added 5 different versions of each letter, which is really helpful when working with grunge fonts. It looks more natural, when the same letter rarely repeats itself.

I am a HUGE fan of Bernard Cornwell’s ‘The Saxon Stories’. Ever since a television series has been made, the series of books is also know as ‘The Last Kingdom’. I have read them all, at break-neck speed and I can’t wait for the next book!! Wintanceastre (Winchester) is based on a 10th century Latin manuscript. I have tried to stay close to the original letters, but since Latin does not have all modern glyphs, I found myself designing the missing ones. So, before you scold me for having made a font that is historically inaccurate: it was never meant to be an exact replica, nor would anyone want an exact replica, as it would be useless for modern texts and designs. Wintanceastre comes with a whole bunch of ligatures and alternate glyphs. Use it for any design that needs a little ‘Dark Ages’ look!

Ceebo is a friendly sans-serif, which show some aspects of a humanist and grotesque typeface. It retained more details of writing and got some forms and characteristics of an italic. Matthew Carter designed the Shelley family 1972 for Mergenthaler Linotype to be used as a new script face for the photo typesetting machines. The basic idea was to create one script face that would offer dfferent elegant letterforms. Matthew designed Shelley in three different versions, Allegro which is in the style of Kuenstler Schreibschrift, Andante where the caps are less flowrish and wide and Volante where the letters have its most expressive and wide forms and the lowercase z in this font is in the french anglian double stacked form. All three versions can be easily mixed to give the text a more individual calligraphic look Besides Shelley Linotype Zapfino from Hermann Zapf shows similar basics, but in a totally different letterform. In Linotype Zapfino the individual lowercase letters from the four different versions have different letterforms which gives the text an even more individual touch.

Alta Mesa is a revival of an old type design from the 1800's that was sold by most of the type foundries in the US and Europe of that time period so it is difficult to know the foundry of origin. New with this version are the fill fonts and plain styles, the fill fonts may be used as stand alone fonts, however the letter spacing is much wider, the plain versions are recommended if you desire a solid black weight. The regular Fill font is in registration with the Regular and Open versions while the Fill L font is in registration with the L and Open L versions. This was a very charming font in its time which was heavily used on old billheads and letterheads. We're pleased to bring this type design, which hasn't been used for over 100 years, into the digital world today.

Lemonite (Regular and Expanded) is a self examination in whether, after five years without attempting to design any new fonts, I was still capable of creation. Lemonite is the result, and even though its plain, it showed me I could still work. Well, we do age, and with age comes the usual benefits, like Glaucoma and a touch of Arthritis in the old digits, and that's made computer work a little… interesting for me over the past couple of years.
