German type designer Jörg Hemker created this sans FontFont in 2002. KampIngriana was originally constructed in 1995-6. It was not constructed to meet any specific purpose but out of curiosity, to see what the result would be if two quite different faces were blended. KampIngriana is the offspring of Ingriana, a friendly, soft face, and KampFriendship, which mimics a serifed face drawn by hand. The original blending had many oddities that I did not clean up until 2020. It originally had five styles: regular, italic, bold, bolditalic, and extrabold. Medium, mediumitalic, semibold, semibolditalic, and extraboldItalic were added in 2022.

Rough Riders, along with our Rough Riders Redux font, got its start from a small sample of letters used in the logo for the Beach Creek Railroad Co. dating back to the early 1860’s. I studied the design for one year before drawing the letters. Rough Riders and the Redux version are simply the most Wildest Western looking fonts you'll find. The Rough Riders fill font is not meant to be used as a stand alone black typeface, the fill font is designed to be layered behind the regular Rough Riders font.

As Word War I raged on during 1917, a large number of songs were written as morale builders for both the soldiers leaving for overseas service as well as their friends, family and loved ones. One such song, "Send Me Away with A Smile" has its title hand lettered in a simple, yet somewhat stylized sans serif design that was so much a part of the Art Nouveau style of that era. Simply Nouveau JNL captures and preserves that design within a digital typeface; available in both regular and oblique versions.

The Federal Art Project division of the WPA (Works Progress Administration) employed numerous artists, musicians, actors and other creative sorts in a effort to help many survive the Great Depression of the 1930s. One of the posters created by this project was for a "Card Party and Barter Benefit" with proceeds going toward the Nassau Art Teachers Benefit Fund - taking place at the Coca-Cola plant in Rockville Centre, New York. East Village JNL was derived from this poster, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Vow is an incredibly stylised font, strutting its stuff on the typography catwalk. Vow does everything to excess, even when cutting down: where it’s curvy, it’s very curvy, but where it’s thin, it’s thin. Vow’s regular weight has a certain boldness at text size, but its ultra-thin alternative is much better used at larger sizes, managing to take up very little space even when scaled up. Using a mix of the two creates a subtle emphasis, especially when coloured, which helps to create stunning messages in elegant ways.

The goal with South Island was to make a font that looked authentically handwritten. Each character had to perfectly flow into the next and maintain a nice balance between variation and legibility. The typeface retains all the texture and grit of the original handwritten characters, making it especially powerful when used for large headers. South Island comes in a regular version, and a second version which contains alternate versions of each letter A-Z (both upper and lowercase). Try pairing it up with a more traditional serif or sans serif font for endless possibilities.

Goudy Sans Bold was originally designed by Fredric Goudy in 1922 as a less formal "gothic" and finished in 1929. The light was designed in 1930 and the Light Italic in 1931. Alternate letterforms are included in these three Goudy designs which are digitized true to their original design. In 2006, designer Colin Kahn drew "LTC Goudy Sans Regular" which is a medium weight version intended for text purposes. Kahn has also designed an experimental "LTC Goudy Sans Hairline" which has a skeletal almost mono-width stroke and results in a surprisingly elegant display face.

In few words, Monodia is a small but widely applicable slab serif (nearly monoweight) font family with only two weight and one cut effect version. To those who agree with the fact that less is actually more, three fonts should be sufficient for branding, headlines and other display uses. With that reason regular and bold weights are designed with huge contrast. In order to avoid clogging of certain (especially Cyrillic) letters in the text, some serifs are atypically modified or allowed. The regular and bold weights seem somewhat static while the italic cuts make a dynamic impression. Linotype Octane is available in four weights, each of which contains a number of ligatures. The inspiration was a scan of the old Cushing No. 2 font in Felici's article on CreativePro about 100 year oldtype. Tupã is a Brazilian indigienous god of thunder. This typeface is a geometric Sans Serif based on vertical and diagonal strokes. The heavy weights are great for impact layouts and the light weights are perfect to make sutil and strong messages. Tupã has a wide character set, including Cyrillic, with Small Caps, Ligatures, regular and tabular numbers and a lot of alternates. Foundry Plek and Foundry Flek are created on the same dot matrix grid system. An original typeface designed for ParaType in 2004 by Armenian designer Manvel Shmavonyan. Based on the lettering created in 1970s by outstanding Armenian type designer Henrik Mnatsakanyan (1923-2001) of the same name. In Armenian ‘Haverj’ means ‘Eternally’. The face resembles many regular text serif fonts but elements like serifs and terminals make it eccentric and a little bit funny. The shape of diagonal legs in capital K and R resembles book lettering of the 1950s—60s. Using it in text, advertising and display typography may lead to surprising effects.
