Upperclass was a font I created back in 1995. I had a brainstorm about the uppercase letter “A”. I noticed that the cross bar for the letter A is always toward the bottom, what if I moved it toward the top. The result is a unique font, a great addition to your font collection.

Will Ransom designed the uppercase letters in this typeface for Barnhart Brothers & Spindler in the 1920s, under the name Clearcut Shaded Caps. The lowercase letters come from another BB&S typeface named Clearcut Italic. An elegant headline face, best used sparingly, the font includes decorative flourishes in the brace, bracket and en dash positions.

A 1930s WPA (Works Progress Administration) poster advertising an exhibit of New Jersey area posters had its main lettering rendered in a very condensed hand lettered interpretation of the ever-popular Futura Black Art Deco style. This has now been re-drawn and digitized as Art Event JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.

On a huge garbage bin in Lisbon I saw the sentence, “Perdidos no kaos”, which means lost in chaos and I really liked the rough stenciled lettering. Frantic Pace JNL is based on hand lettering found on the lid of a late 1950s or early 1960s edition of the Print Craft alphabet printing set once manufactured by the Superior Marking Equipment Company of Chicago. Little Cecily was designed on the base of a Russian calligraphy sample book for primary schools “Propisi pryamogo pis’ma” (Moscow, 1914). Such kind of scripts were implemented in school programs at the end of 19th-beginning of 20th century. There was an opinion that the straight writing is easier for learning and better for children from a medical point of view. The letterforms of the typeface are characterized by simplified constructions and upright design which distinguishes it from the list of typical school scripts and convey to it a naive charm and originality. The character set covers standard Western and Cyrillic code pages and it includes alternative letters and contextual forms for connected writing.

This font is a late 19th Century French script overview inspired by numerous French letters, from around years 1850-1860, during the second French empire, under Napoleon the third. Most of them were written with very tiny characters on light sheets of paper, as postage prices were calculated from the letter's weight. He named Gertrud after his better half, but was also inspired by old handwritten documents: "Gertrud is a calligraphic letter design from the 16th century. I used it when I engrossed diplomas with a flat-nibbed pen in the 1980's. When I got my Mac I generated the typeface in Fontographer." We have transformed the “99 names of ALLAH” into a font. That means each key on your keyboard represents 1 of the 99 names of ALLAH Aaza Wajal. The fonts work with both the English and Arabic Keyboards. We call this Calligraphy "complete" because this is the only calligraphy where the complete set of decorative letters have been used. The calligraphy is more on the traditional side, letters don't overlap, the "ye" at the end of the names doesn't have the two dots, and a decorative "ye" has been included. The first "Alef" doesn't have a "hamzit wasel" nor a "fatha", this indicates to skip the pronunciation of that first letter. So instead of saying "AR-RAHMAAN" you say "R-RAHMAN".
