I don’t have a sweet tooth myself, but I do like toffee! One of my favourite desserts is English Sticky Toffee Pudding, so I really had to name a font after this delicacy. Dubbel Zout in Dutch means ‘Double Salt’. I admit, it sounds better in Dutch… Dubbel Zout is a kind of licorice which we (in Holland) love! Not many people actually like it, but I know of one addict in Denmark, who eats it by the bagful. Dubbel Zout is a ‘crayon-ish’ font - all caps, different upper and lower glyphs that you can mix and a royal assortment of diacritics. It may be an acquired taste, but once you get used to it, you’re hooked!

Sivellin is an elegant brush script with a lots of alternates, swashes and small caps. All in all it has over 1,300 glyphs. Sivellin has round and soft letterforms, low x-height and quite a generous spacing to get that elegant and very legible result. Because of all the alternates Sivellin is a very versatile script font. It can look very straightforward or with added Swashes very flamboyant. Or something between. It gives you options to customize your typography and designs the way you like.

Chump Change is a fun chunky serif ALL CAPS display font. I wanted it to look blocky and loud, So it can scream from Posters and Headlines. It has over 300 glyphs, several variations on the standard alphabet and all those extra pesky foreign features. The FiveOh fonts are caps-only with extreme contrast.. They are decorative or display fonts with a carefree, wobbly look. FiveOh-One and FiveOh-Shadowed contain the same set of letters on upper and lower-case keys. FiveOh-Two, Three, and Stars contain different interior decorations on upper and lower cases. Lc Trinidad is the result of a series of wonderings regarding geometric Sans Serif typography design, in particular; Futura of Paul Renner. A “conversation” arose between me and the designer – actually there was no conversation, it is an euphemism for “I saw his designs, I draw them and discussed with myself some of his decisions – that ended up being the origin of this font firsts glyphs: A, H, N, O, R and S. I started with uppercase letters, and here is when Rudolf Koch with Kabel and his “Das schreibbuchlein” joined the conversation. This is how I could develop some alternative lowercase letters so as to illustrate this imaginary discussion. The result is a sans serif, geometric, modern typeface with classical Roman proportion in the uppercase letters; two stylistic sets for lowercase letters (setKoch and setRenner), rational, open and sharp ends. “Feverish” was a font borne out of perceived need in the marketplace. Hallmark retired font designer and master letter designer Myron McVay first approached Bill LaFever to collaborate on a project to design a semiformal calligraphic script that could be set as text copy with a large variety of swash and alternative characters and small caps. Bill penned the initial forms and Myron did the digital conversions and initial technical work. After Myron passed away, Terry Lee, a protégé of Myron’s at Hallmark, also retired, took over and the project was completed. “Feverish” is a semi-formal italic which can be used in a wide variety of commercial and advertising applications. The font family is large which can accommodate a variety of unique applications.

This series, with 104 illustrations in three files, collects original ink drawings with absurdities, bizarre people, whimsical personalities and risky behaviors! There is a very peculiar sense of narrative in the sucession of characters, even if they came out rather spontaneously and their order is random.With a vintage look and feel, these people seem to come out of a time capsule from Victorian times. Almost everything in the Bizarries (and also in their close relatives, our Illustries, Whimsies, Ombres, Absurdies and Genteta dingbats) is invented and drawn with no references —just a handful of images were sketched from historical photography.
