Zennor is the work of British designer Phill Grimshaw, a bold italic brush script with slick, dashing letterforms with an almost globular quality. The first Century typeface was cut in 1894 by Linn Boyd Benton in conjunction with T L DeVinne for the Century Magazine. It was a blacker, more readable face than the type previously used. Morris Fuller Benton designed the Century Expanded version in 1900 for American Type Founders to meet the Typographical Union Standard of the day. The 'expansion' was in the vertical plane. Century Expanded is a useful font family for text setting in magazines, books, presentations and newsletters.

Pax is clearly a didone, using Vox classification. The contrast between the thin lines and the thicker ones is noticeable, as you would expect from a didone. The basic form is relatively narrow, therefore I designed another Pax, slightly wider and darker, and called it Pax #2. Otherwise they are more or less identical. Pax is Latin for peace, on everyone's want list in 1995 - as well as every single year before and after that. Pax was released in 1995.

Zuume Soft is a high-impact, condensed sans serif family with a soft touch. A sister to Zuume, this version features round corners for a friendlier appearance. The lighter weights give a sharp, technical feel while the bold, blacker weights can be tightly spaced and stacked for a strong visual punch. The notched and extended ink traps add both function and aesthetic interest. The strong and sturdy design makes it ideal for eye-catching headlines, branding, packaging, sports, logos, and more.

Gopher Mono is a reverse contrast, monospace sans serif typeface ranging in weight from thin to black with italics. The design provides a unique look to the monospaced genre by using a contrast where the vertical strokes are a little thinner with horizontal strokes thicker. While monospaced fonts are typically used for smaller body text, the slightly unusual quirks of a reverse contrast design make it interesting enough to also use for display treatments so style and function are blended.
