Ebisu is a sans serif family consisting of 10 different weights. Designed by Alex Haigh in 2010, and influenced by one of his original designs from 2008 Hiruko - Ebisu loses the soft sans serif curves, for a more robust geometric styling. But it’s much more than a geo-replica. The lowercase characters also have a more exaggerated sharpness that gives the whole family a unique look and feel. The kerning has been individually crafted for each letter, with vigorous attention - to ensure that each letter from is produced in a way that works with every member of the set, for a tightly knit sans serif family. It speaks many languages too. The open type features have an extended character set to support Eastern and Western European languages. With each weight conveying a different personality, Ebisu is set to become the modern new sans serif family to sit alongside you classics for versatility, cleanliness and a crafted edge.

The Eixample project is inspired by modernist signage of various examples found in the Eixample neighbourhood in Barcelona. The name of each subfamily is related to its location or to specific elements of the original sign. Dip is the abbreviation for Carrer Diputació (Diputació Street), where the original sign spells Farmacia Específicos Diputación. The reference taken from the pharmacy sign is a curious model, where sans-serif lowercase letters coexist with script uppercase. This fundamentals create the system that we have introduced in Eixample Dip. The capitals are built with contained decoration to achieve maximum compatibility between letters. The script capitals are the default uppercase but we have also included alternative capitals, a slab style that can be combined with the scripts. The narrow influence of the original sign is correlated with the Narrow styles of the Dip family. But for more versatility, Eixample Dip explores normal widths and weights as well. Furthermore an Inline version was added to the suite.

SALO – is a hybrid of two Italian typographic worlds. The serif version refers to the beautiful and sophisticated typefaces found on the signs of cafes, restaurants, and fashionable boutiques. Its complemented by the sans variant, inspired by Italian modernism and road signage. All styles are based on the same core but with a totally different expressions. The biggest challenge during the project was designing all of the glyphs compatible to work as a 100% variable font. In the OTF version, SALO has 4 varieties: Serif, Semi Serif, Semi Sans and Sans. The family of these typefaces is suitable both for posters, magazine headlines, and branding purposes where the character will count. It is worth experimenting and combining different varieties with each other. (This font cannot be used to create a logo with the phrase "FRANCO").

Cake Shop has a lengthy history. Originally designed during the Eighties by Aussie artist David Art Wales, the font was inspired by the awkward but charming hand-lettered signs in a Maltese cake shop near his Sydney home. "These signs were hand-drawn by someone who clearly had no experience but who'd really put their heart and soul into the job. There was a real sincerity to the characters that I wanted to capture." For a brief time during the early Nineties, MTV used Cake Shop for all their on-air interstitials. Since then, it's become a go-to font for everything from children's books to album covers and ice cream branding. In a recent update, Wales added airier spacing to more closely resemble the original signs the font was based on.

Some vintage 1960s-era packaging for dive gear (masks, swim fins, etc.) manufactured by the Voit division of AMF had various merchandise boxes hand-lettered [with some variation of design] in an interesting sans stencil. These packages formed the inspiration of Dive Gear Stencil JNL. Thanks once again to Gene Gable, whom on many occasions has provided Jeff Levine material for type design inspiration.

Centima Mono is a subfamily addition to Centima type family. Centima Mono is a condensed geometric monospaced san serif, built in six styles. The typeface is intended for use in display sizes, but also is quite legible in text and is well suited for editorial and brand design. Centima Mono is released in OpenType format with support for most European languages and includes some opentype features.

Ubiquity: the possibility to be in several places at the same time; this could be the definition of a typeface like Ubik. Its applications are numerous and various: books, magazines, posters but also architecture and signs. Ubik is a grotesk sans serif with a “nordic taste”: shapes pure and somewhat square. The nonexistent contrast between thin and thick strokes gives it a discreet rustic look.

Lodestone is a sans serif decorative typeface, and was created by Steve Jackaman (ITF) in 2017. The original design was known as ‘Marvin,’ and was created by Face Photosetting (London) in the early 1970’s. Since the name ‘Marvin’ was in use by another foundry at time of publication, ‘Lodestone’ was born. Lodestone has a clean, retro feel, and is electrifying at display sizes.

LP Horizont Caps is another new font creation from German designer Peter Langpeter (lp-design.de). LP has been running his own design studio since 1995, working as a typeface and logo designer, as a calligrapher, cartographer and illustrator. During this time LP created a large number of excellent new typeface designs. LP Horizont Caps is a very futuristic looking, sharp and elegant sans serif.

A single-weight display font, Steel Grrrder Nutjob is an industrial-style stencil with a nut device. It’s best used in short display settings or as an introductory drop cap to grab attention. Acre is a geometric sans-serif type family of eight weights that's both inspired by and named after my great grandfather, Tex Acre. Tex was an artist and sign maker whose handcrafted signs illuminated the roadsides of the American Midwest and typified mid-century Americana. Acre is a tribute to him, his work, and many of my favorite early 20th century geometric typefaces. With eight weights ranging from Thin to Black, Acre is an extremely versatile family that can be used for display, text, or anything in between. Acre offers full European language support plus many OpenType features such as tabular and oldstyle figures.

Sequel 100 Wide is a static sans-serif or neogrotesque with generous horizontal proportions. A variant of the original Sequel Sans, it considerably expands the stylistic scope of the Sequel superfamily. In addition to its wider letterforms, it has got a larger x-height, slightly shifting the historical flavor from the 1950s to the 1960s. Creating a combination between serif and sans serif typefaces, Jotia utilises the best of both worlds, resulting in a unique and modern neo-humanist font family. Type designers have been integrating the design of sans serifs with serifed forms since the 1920s. Early examples are Edward Johnston's design for the London Underground, and Eric Gill's Gill Sans. These were followed by Jan van Krimpen's Romulus Sans, Frederic Goudy's ITC Goudy Sans, Hermann Zapf's Optima, Hans Meier's Syntax and Adrian Frutiger's Frutiger. Now, ITC Stone Humanist joins this tradition. It is a careful blend of traditional sans serif shapes and classical serifed letterforms. ITC Stone Humanist grew out an experiment with the medium weight of ITC Stone Sans, a design that already showed a relationship to these sans serif-serif hybrids. ITC Stone Sans has proportions based on those of ITC Stone Serif, and its thick-and-thin stroke contrast suggests the bloodline of humanistic sans serif typefaces. But other aspects of ITC Stone Sans are more closely aligned to the gothics and grotesques, a tradition that accounts for the largest portion of sans serif designs. Enter ITC Stone Humanist. During his experiments with the earlier design, Sumner Stone recalls, I was actually quite surprised at how seemingly subtle changes transformed the face," moving the design firmly into the humanist tradition. "The form of the 'g,' 'l,' 'M,' 'W,' and more subtly the 'a' and 'e' are part of the restructuring of the family," he explains. The top endings of vertical lower case strokes have been cropped on an angle, as have the ascender and descender stroke endings. ITC Stone Humanist is a full-fledged member of the ITC Stone family. It has been produced with the same complement of weights, and the x-heights, proportions, and underlying character shapes are completely compatible with the three original designs. The original ITC Stone Sans is a popular typeface, in part because of its notable versatility. ITC Stone Humanist shares this virtue, and can be used successfully at very small sizes, in long passages of text copy, and even as billboard-sized display type."

Varisse spans over two centuries of type design and draws its inspiration from well-loved classics that are as fresh today as they were when they were created. The range stretches from a quintessential 18th century transitional serif to an uncompromising 20th century sans. Think Baskerville, think Gill. The idea was to create a family that shared similar forms and the same vertical metrics, allowing them to be mixed to provide impact and readability as required. I've been working on a usable sans serif for body copy since the mid-1990s (though I certainly did not know it at the time). This one works well. It started life back in the mists of time as a scan of an old German font by Carl Fahrenwaldt. It was developed fully as a synergized serif with strong traditional roots and released as Bergsland Pro. Now it finally makes it to where I was headed all along as a sans text font. This is a well modulated humanist, sans serif font family with many OpenType features and over 600 characters: Caps, lower case, small caps, ligatures, swashes, small cap figures, old style figures, numerators, denominators, accents characters, ordinal numbers, and so on. It is designed for text use in body copy. But it also works very well for elegantly stylized display.
