Decano is a modern sans serif, ALL-CAPS, display font. Using a ten-sided polygon, or decagon for the usually circular characters and employing similar angles for the rest of the character set gives us some strong and interesting word forms. It’s great for branding, headlines, and signage.

ITC Leawood was begun by designer Les Usherwood and finished by his talented staff at Typsettra in Toronto, Canada, after his untimely death. A similar calligraphic series to ITC Usherwood, following alternative options, the typeface features small, well-defined serifs which aid legibility and allow for close spacing.

Grenville is part of the Staunton Script Family of fonts designed by Ted Staunton for his historic novel centered around a family bible and the handwritten annotation through seven generations. The Grenville font is a graceful Italique hand similar in style to the classic designs of Arrighi's Operina.

A vintage hand-punched brass stencil for the Pasadena Playhouse spotted online was the basis for Theatrical Stencil JNL. Slight variations in the letter forms from other similar designs might not quickly be noticed, but there is always a charm in the hand-made look of any stenciled lettering.

Disposable is somewhat similar to some letters that are about to disintegrate. The letters are a little worn and give a good impression of something eco or organic. I've created 6 different versions of all the letters, just so your text will look even more organic and handmade!

By adding rounded corners on serifs, the strict form disappears, in that way, the font gets softer form. The faces of IanSegoe were early attempts by IngrimayneType to construct medieval-looking faces. They drew inspiration from several medieval-themed fonts that were available at the time (1990). The upper-case letters are similar but not identical in the two faces but the lower-case letters are completely different.

Rataczak is a stiff, awkward serifed font that was inspired by similar fonts from the 19th century. It is legible as a text font but not graceful. Similar to date and numbering stamps, there once was manufactured rotary band stamps with different letter and number configurations that were used for various identification purposes. From a set of vintage bands acquired from a now-closed rubber stamp shop, Marking Device JNL replicates the serif typeface used on these devices.

Petite Fleur is a combination of engraved, flowery embellishments and the Capitals of my redesigned Royal Romain (Romain du Roi), the exclusive font of King Louis XIV. An advertisement in a 1936 issue of “The Film Daily” for the movie “Mr. Deeds Goes to Town” had much of its copy set in an extrabold typeface similar to the Beton/Stymie/Karnac group of slabserif designs. This is now available digitally as Serif Formal JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

In 1994, John Benson designed Balzano, Alexa and Caliban, three typefaces with a similar calligraphic character. Balzano differs from the other in its vertical figures, adding a static element to the otherwise lively, flowing components. Balzano is good for short texts and headlines, anywhere in which a personal, elegant look is desired.

High Cut came about by this found object I stumbled upon, while exploring an abandoned building, which had this word "High" cut out of it in a similar stencil design. I thought it would be a fun challenge to create an entire typeface inspired by this found object. Enjoy this new stencil typeface!

At first glance Parking Lot Stencil JNL look quite similar to many sans stencil fonts, but rest assured there are numerous subtle nuances that give the typeface its own unique flavor. Modeled after the plastic stencils used for marking numbers and directional information on paved surfaces, the lettering is clean yet industrial.

Girder Poster, also named Spurred Gothic, was inspired by showcard lettering samples featured in the book, Commercial Art Of Show Card Lettering, published in 1945. Although similar to Cooper Bold, Girder Poster's serifs are spurred and the design's inception came out of theatrical poster studios of the mid 1900's in New York.

In today's day and age, the term "calling card" refers to a prepaid means of making long distance phone calls. In a more gentler time, the calling card (similar to a business card) was what a gentleman presented to a housekeeper or butler when visiting (calling) on a friend or business contact.
