Wellingborough is a family of six late-Victorian inspired faces, principally for display work and headings but also including a text form suitable for use in ‘feature’ paragraphs and short documents. The regular, small capitals and italic forms provides good clear headings, with a modicum of individualism and flair about them, while the Flourish and capital faces carry the family to rather more elaborate-yet still readily legible- heights. The italic form also works well alone to suggest a sense of flow and movement. The whole family is ideally suited for poster and advertising work, as well as book and record covers and period themed signage.

Many street nameplates in Britain use versions of Kindersley serif capitals designed by David Kindersley in the 1950s. K-Type Kindersley Sans is an unfussy alternative to the signage stalwart, perfectly suited to newer environments and more contemporary tastes. Kindersley Sans is a humanist sans-serif that conserves the Gill-inspired character and some of the calligraphic qualities of Kindersley’s lettering, it retains the Roman proportions and its Britishness, but traditional prettiness and intricacy are discarded in favour of a clean modernity. For purposes where Transport (MOT) is considered too formal and Kindersley too old-fashioned, Kindersley Sans offers an open and amiable up-to-date alternative. The typeface is comfortably spaced and carefully kerned to deliver beautiful results with ease, and although designed with nameplates in mind, it excels as an all-purpose text face in print and on screen. Stadtmitte is a grotesque font with a distinctly industrial flair. It is inspired on a reinterpretation of the Berlin’s vernacular signs and characters created under the DIN 1451 norm. M Ling Wai was written with a thin ball pen by a young woman in a unique, personal, running writing style, such that it is real, natural and feminine. Contrast of strokes is low and the text is visible and eye-catching. Its light to medium stems (豎) make it suitable for small text and subheading with little conglutination. All strokes are highly irregular, inconsistent, irregularly oriented and tightly coupled or connected. Contrast of strokes is low and the text is visible and eye-catching. Its light to medium stems (豎) make it suitable for small text and subheading with little conglutination. All strokes are highly irregular, inconsistent, irregularly oriented and tightly coupled or connected.
